3lbs off this week-vary happy after last weeks maintain.

Onwards and hopefully downwards (weight wise!) for another few weeks and then a break at xmas-looking forward to it!

Well done shreksmissus-I know how hard it is to keep going when you dont see any results.

StrawberriesandCherries · 07/12/2009 15:16

Well done tully and shrek! Great losses how much is that in total and over how long?

Fruitgums · 07/12/2009 16:41

Welcome Nicola & Shrek.

Well done on the losses Tully & Shrek! Here's hoping that I will have lost for my Weigh in this evening....

sowhatis · 07/12/2009 16:50

pleased everyone is doing well. my 12 week membership (pre paid) finished last week and i cant decide whether to carry on with another 12wks or go it alone?????

any advice??

Fruitgums · 07/12/2009 18:37

Sowhatis - How much weight have you lost?

If you are doing well then I would personally carry on. I know that this is true in my case as the going to meeting and knowing that I will get weighed keeps me going. Plus I'm really enjoying the meetings so far and it seems to be keeping me motivated (ish).

I'm the type of person that would have great intentions at the beginning of the week and then lost the plot by Tuesday morning.... it would all depend on you. Hope that this makes sense? I guess that I'm a little worried about my weigh in (in less than 30mins!!). I haven't excatly stuck to the plan and my syns were out of control but I tried to forget the bad days and start afresh..... hence hoping that I've lost some weight!

Forever the optimist, that's me

QandA · 07/12/2009 19:53

Hello Nicola and Shrek, and well done to Shrek and Tully on the weigh ins

I am not sure weighing ourselves starkers would be such a good idea for those of who go to group

Though I may need to this week as I had my 1st day over my syns after having a vegi burger and mince pie (total 29syns!!)for lunch at a friend's house today! Should be ok though as I have had SW cottage cheese cannelloni this evening which was actually better than it sounds

sowhatis, I would keep going to classes if you are wanting to continue, I find that having a focus mid week keeps me motivated. You could alwayd sign up for the 6 week prepayment and see how you feel then.

What a bargain you got Ilove!

Good luck at WI Fruitgums

Flippin' hell tully!! 3 lb!! Excellent!

Welcome Shrek & Nicola - hopefully we can help motivate you both.

Ria - sorry to hear about your auntie, hoping you & yours get over the next few days without too much of a struggle.

I've not been bad foodwise, not been angelic either. In fact I've not been eating properly, no HE's just a bit off track due to work/family being hectic at the minute.

Hi everyone, would you mind if I join you? I'm going to my first meeting tomorrow evening and feeling very nervous.

I've been quite ill over the last 6 months and have gained weight I'm currently 12st 5lbs, 2st more than I'm used to.

Any tips for tomorrow please?

ILoveChocolateKnickers · 08/12/2009 07:15

good luck for your first weigh-in summer! There is not much advice to give before you start, your consultant should hopefully explain the plan to you. We will be here to help once you get started

I weigh-in this evening, but I am expectig a gain or (hopefully!) a STS.

sowhatis · 08/12/2009 08:33

fruitgums, ive lost 2stone 6.5lb since 29/9 I am going to see how i go the next 3 weeks as its going to be tricky to get to the WI, and i never stay for meetings as it is. i will 're-join' in jan as i am NOT going to put this weight back on!! i am nearly down to what i was (another 2lb off needed) to what i was after my illness, before i had kids. need another 2stone off to get to what i was when i got married.

i WI at home this morning and have lost 2.5lb since last week, very pleased, and motivated as my size 16jeans are v baggy -hae a pair of 14s upstairs im going to try on later!!

xx

tullytwo · 08/12/2009 11:09

I have lost 3 stone 4lbs since @ middle of May-cant remember exact date but I still have lot to lose-ideally another 7 stone but taking it one step at a time!

My neighbour really inspired me as she has lost 8 stone in total -2 by herself and 6 with SW so once i saw someone lose a similar amount of weight as I have to it really motivated me.

Sowhatis - everyone is different -some people need and enjoy the group even for the WI incentive and others like me prefer to go it alone-it really is individual to each person and only you know if you can keep yourself motivated alone-but you will get lots of support etc on here too which helps.

tullytwo · 08/12/2009 11:16

Connie-are all the chupa chups 1.5 syns on green days then? Can only find the bubbly something one listed online.

Summertimefizz · 08/12/2009 12:14

Thank you ILove, will let you guys know how I get on. I know that 2 st may not seem alot to some people but it's how you feel about yourself that matters iyswim. I'm dreading this evening for some reason but need to sort this body back to how it used be

ConnieComplaint · 08/12/2009 21:48

As far as I know Tully. They're the same both days

I won't make it to my WI tomorrow night, probably a good job really as my scales say I have gained 1lb but will see what they say in the morning....

I haven't had a great 2 days foodwise.

Fruitgum, I've lost 2 stone 5lb since the middle of January & have another 13lb to go until I reach target.... which might be sometime in 2010! provided I keep at it & don't just give in a binge... am feeling VERY shitty today, in such bad form.

My older sister is 40 next week & I'm trying to put together an album for her, but surprise surprise my parents are being as un-cooperative as usual!!! I need fucking photos to put in a fucking album and they can't find any!!!!!!!!!

We're going pole dancing on Saturday but I'm worrying about that too....

OP posts:
ILoveChocolateKnickers · 09/12/2009 07:51

CC - pole dancing? hee hee i really need to see photos on FB after that!!!

lost 0.5 lbs, which is good because i was expecting a gain or maintain.

ConnieComplaint · 09/12/2009 18:08

ILCK, I will try & oblige

I didn't make it to WI tonight but have gained by my own scales... lovely!

QandA · 09/12/2009 20:44

Hi Summer

I am amazed at how much some of you have lost since starting SW. Gives me the motivation to keep going.

Connie, pole dancing It is meant to be good exercise though so could become a regular thing?

Ilove, well done on the loss, especially if you weren't expecting it.

Lost 3lb today at WI and got my 1 stone award, I was really pleased. 1 stone was my 1st target, wanted to set a manageable chunk rather than see it as one big goal iyswim. I have set another 1 stone target.

Fruitgums · 10/12/2009 16:26

Wow on the weight losses!!

Welcome Summer!

Sowhatis, have you made up your mind yet?

Q&A - well done on your 1st stone award. It's amazing how a sticker can keep you motivated.

Connie, hope you are having a better day today. LOL at pole dancing. I too would love to look at the pics

Well, as for me I lost 1.5lbs on my WI on monday evening. Don't think that I will lose any this week as I have 4 meals out
and I can't fit in any exercise as I'm away on meeting quite a lot.

QandA · 12/12/2009 20:41

Well done fruitgums It is that time of year where meals out are so regular, I am thinking that the next few weigh ins should be interesting too

How is everyone else getting on? You have all gone out and are eating turkey chocolate and mince pies quiet

em83 · 13/12/2009 15:58

someone please help me solve a question that me and my friend have been quarelling about for past few days...
are btchelors super noodles free on green days on slimming world ?

StrawberriesandCherries · 13/12/2009 21:14

Hi em, the 98% fat free ones are free on green days, not the usual ones.

Lost 2.5lbs this week ( a huge amount for me!!) so 6lbs left to target.

How's everyone else doing?

QandA · 14/12/2009 08:29

That's great Strawberries, 6lbs is such a short way to go to target. Did you do anything differently last week that you can replicate?

tullytwo · 14/12/2009 09:56

1lb off this week and am happy as have my period so hopefully I have actually lost a bit more which will show next week. Fingers crossed!

Fruitgums · 14/12/2009 10:44

Strawberries well done on your weight loss. It must be great to be so close to target.

Tully, wow at losing weight at your time of the month. I just turn into a food she-devil and devour everything in sight

Q&A - loved your sentiment and I think the same. Think that everyone is out having a fabby fab time
