Thanks QandA and Fruitgums! Have lost it a bit over the weekend (that tub of celebrations got a pounding watching Xfactor )

QandA I lost my appetite a bit over the last couple of weeks(silver lining to problems and all that), so that helps!!I had quite a few baked potatoes instead of pasta and kept to an average of about 5 syns per day rather than my usual 15. I am trying to do the same to weigh in to drag things back by Wed

Hope everyone has a good week!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 14/12/2009 12:15

Could someone tell me the password? I missed it at WI this week. Thanks,

Can i join you girls?

I started SW in September weighing in at 12st5lbs, am now down to 10st10lbs My target is 10st so 10lbs to go, but would ideally like to get to 9.5st!

Had been stuck on 10st12 for 3 weeks until last week and finally getting a loss, went back to writing everything down and keeping syns very low, started running on monday to hopefully help get rid of this last bit

WI on thursday, fingers crossed for a loss as have set myself til the end of January to get to goal [hmm}

Fruitgums · 16/12/2009 11:48

Shrek well done for maintaining - it's not easy at this time of the year.

Welcome Kmummy & brilliant weight loss. I'm so envious Just try & stick to the programme and I'm sure the weight will fall of you. Good luck with your WI.

I had my WI on monday and I lost 1lb. I've got my 1/2 stone award now Told my consultant that i've got a very busy week with christmas parties & meals out and worried about putting on.... and that she can't take the sticker back!

What's happened to everyone? All out having a ????

ConnieComplaint · 16/12/2009 21:49

Hi, I have just had my WI. I had a fantastic gain this week...my first since August and I do gains in a spectacular way

I didn't make it to WI last week either...and have had about 4 parties to go to in the past 3 weeks... I gained an amazing 3lb.

I'd love some of it off for next week

Sorry, I'm not much in the mood for chat at the min, I have another thread on here about dh's work colleague making comments to him about me... am for my bed now.

Hoepfully tomorrow being a new day & all i'll be OK

QandA · 16/12/2009 22:05

Oh Connie, poor you that will have topped off a crap day for you (just read your other thread), but one gain since August is really good. Don't let this (or your DH's 'colleague' though other words may describe him better )

Just keep your chin up and this week is a new week, don't let it set you off track. and virtual hug!

Hi Kmummy and welcome. Well done fruitgums on the loss and shreksmissus on the maintain. I maintained too, suppose I should be grateful for that at this time of year.

Think you are right fruitgum about everyone out enjoying a , perhaps MNHQ should do a dieters version, something like a ryvita, with cucumber slices perhaps? [--]

QandA · 18/12/2009 15:26

Come on everyone, I need help working out just how much I will put on by having a big 3 course meal and several bottles glasses of wine this weekend

ConnieComplaint · 18/12/2009 15:33

ooh, depends what yer planning on having to eat! You can do it relatively sensibly by having melon for starters, or clear soup.

Go for the EE option & have turkey/beef/whatever with veg & spuds for dinner, and something relatively low in syns like pavalova... or fruit & a scoop of ice-cream?

Or you could go totally OTT & have brie/stuffed mushrooms etc... then have chips/buttery mash/ff onions/side sauces etc all followed by profiteroles etc... for dessert,

stick to vodka/spirit of some kind with sugar free mixer and you'll be grand.

(I have banjaxxed my hand doing poledancing something stupid & am in a splint of some sort - hence my shit typing and errors. its taken me ages to type this and i've been off work for 2 days as I can't type!!

love the word banjanxed

ChristmasRGPargyCarol · 18/12/2009 23:17

Ria!!! Hello!

So how easy is this SW lark then?

littleoldme · 19/12/2009 10:12

Hello RG - fancy seeing you here !

I haven't been on for a while. The festivites have run away with me rtaher and I've been a tad slack. That said, despite the wine, dinners and general merriment I've maintained so if that lasts til boxing day I'll be happy.

Merry Christams one and all.

Connie - I take it I invited a random person to FB. I'll have anther go at seeking you out.

gloRiaInExcelsisDeo · 19/12/2009 23:34

hey RG, what you doin' here? (actually, given the last couple of weeks, what am I doing here?)

it's easy enough TBH, especially with the new EE plan. Lots of nice recipes to be had too, though if I'm honest I get worn down with all the cooking involved (but I get that on a day-to-day non-diet basis too)

This is a fab thread though - the best place to be for support and giggles.

ChristmasRGPargyCarol · 20/12/2009 00:03

Well perhaps i shall just loiter here for the hell of it. I'm still undecided on whether to have another go at SW or just calorie count like i did previously. Failing that, i should just staple my fat mouth shut!

QandA · 20/12/2009 06:39

Hello RG, definitely try SW, I had never tried a diet before and it is really working for me, have lost a stone in 6 weeks and have been able to eat lots of foods, probably better than stapling your mouth shut

Connie, I didn't take your advice I'm afraid, drank way too much wine instead of spirits and mixers, but could have done a lot worse with the food so I suppose it balances out and have been sticking to it since. I would love to be there when you explaining your hand injury to people and they ask how you did it

Littleoldme, you have done well to maintain and at least you have been able to enjoy yourself, hopefully you will maintain shrek too, just get back on the wagon!

Ria, love your christmas name, still haven't thought of one for myself, answers on a postcard please....

Hello LOM!!!

Fruitgums · 21/12/2009 09:59

Wow, so nice to see that most of you are back now

Hi Q&A!!

Connie, would also love to be there when you explain your injury.

RG, give a SW a go - it will surprise you how much you can eat.

Shrek, don't beat yourself up about pigging out. We've all been there and it's so hard at this time of the year.

Well done on maintaining Little.

As for me I've got my WI and I'm NOT looking forward to that!!

Fruitgums · 21/12/2009 10:01
