morning all

I have been doing SW on and off since DS2 was a baby. He is nearly 6. The best I have ever lost is a stone and a half. IOt never stays away for long I want to lose at least 5 stones. I don't go to class. I find my danger zone to be about 3.30pm onwards.

And this week I can't even get motivated to do EE as since I cleaned the oven I can't bear to use the grill for my bacon

Rialentless · 27/11/2009 11:55

I think only 2 minstrels is almost angelic behaviour

VengefulKitty · 27/11/2009 12:09

I am deffo not a spy Why, have you had that before?!

Ria - that is also my danger zone, and it just gets worse as the night goes on!

My problem things that I can't stay away from are white bread, pancakes and the like. I am not too bad with things like chocolate and sweets. It's the savoury stuff!

Circes · 27/11/2009 18:47

I don't post here very often but it's a good idea to isay hello and introduce ourselves, so here I go!

Hello! I'm Circes (not circles or circus or any of the other derivations I've been called on other boards ). I joined SW way back in 2001 when i wanted to lose weight for my sister's wedding. It has really changed my life and I'm passionate about how good the plan is even now, 8 years on! I got to target after 11 months, losing just over 7 stones, following the plan to the letter. My consultant says I did everything right - variety, home-cooking, new foods, new recipes all the time, eating loads of fruit and veg, staying to class and exercisig as well.

PS Circes was a siren who tempted sailors to their deaths on the rocks

ILoveStripeySocks · 27/11/2009 20:37

littleoldme- pringles are 1 syn each! naughty girl

ILoveStripeySocks · 27/11/2009 20:38

Circes, are you on minimins?

ConnieComplaint · 27/11/2009 21:37

Today hasn't been that bad, though could have been better

I joined sw way back in January and to date have lost 31.5lb, with another 15lb to go to reach target. I would like to have that off by May for dd's Holy Communion.

I did WW before, almost 12 years ago & lost the weight fairly quickly, though spent most of the time hungry and drunk I never noticed the weight falling off No, I am not an alcoholic, but my MIL is the type to offer you 'red or white' rather than 'tea or coffee' so as she was doing WW with me, when we visited we tended to waste our points on alcohol!!

I am a bit annoyed at maintaining this week, but I feel I have a gain coming this week unless I can salvage what's happened so far.

Today have had: Breakfast: Apple & banana with coffee

Lunch: skipped as I had an appointment in my lunch hour & eating at our desk is frowned upon

Dinner: Carrots, broc, potatoes, chicken, stuffing (syns) and mushy peas

followed by a sweeti lolly (2 syns)

BLOODY HELL!!!! 1 syn each? That (and the fact that I think I may be allergic to them) should be enough to put me off pringles for lige (but I bet it isn't). They used to make lower fat ones - what happened to them?

Rialentless · 28/11/2009 10:26

gah, it's the weekend! DS1 off at a friends all day today, DS2 at a party later and DS3 and I are going to Morrisons with my parents while he's there. Exciting stuff hey?

good luck!

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 28/11/2009 10:35

I've lost 3lbs overnight but think it may be partly to do with the fact I gave blood yesterday. Be nice if I'm still 3lbs lighter on Tuesday, weigh day.

VengefulKitty · 28/11/2009 11:23

Somehow I managed to put on 1lb overnight I didn't go over on syns and ate fairly well yesterday. I don't understand

I need to get the dance workout videos out methinks!

ILoveStripeySocks · 28/11/2009 14:03

dont weigh yourself everyday! it is not accurate! and it can have a really negative imapct on your weight loss journey. Only weigh yourself once a week, at the same time/day. Honestly, you will drive yourself demented otherwise.

Ive just made myself a gorgoues baby leaf salad with ham & egg - yummy! Im tryong to save som syns plus my HEs for snacking tonight.

ConnieComplaint · 28/11/2009 17:27

I'm going out for dinner tonight...

I should be pleased, but I'm not!!

I'm driving so the alcohol won't be a problem, but I've spent all day looking for clothes to wear & ended up panic buying in the last shop we went into!

I bought a black.gold.cream knitted type dress with plain black tights & jewellery.

I likely look like some rare breed of hippo in it, but at least I'm not going in my jammies, that was the other option!!!

littleoldme · 28/11/2009 17:39

I syn each - vbloody hell that's bad. that must be why they so tasty, - they are full of lots of naughty stuff.

I'll be back on plan tomorrow with avengance.

Connie - hope you have a happy time out. I'm sure your nbew dress looks fab.

ria - hope you have enjoyed your child free day X

Circes · 28/11/2009 18:29

Hi StripeySocks - yes I spend a lot of time on Minimins - probably far too much

Rialentless · 28/11/2009 18:32

have a great time Connie.

I am waiting to put the 2 littlies to bed then hopefully will get a couple of hours to myself before DS1 and DH get home. Unfortunately I have to spend the time cleaning the house as Dsis is coming for lunch tomorrow

ILoveStripeySocks · 28/11/2009 19:07

Me too Circes Im JerriceBenton over there!

Hope yo uhave a fab night out ConnieC

I have spent the day cleaning Ria, so I am totally vegging out this evening!

Rialentless · 28/11/2009 23:53

I didn't do the cleaning. DS2 wouldn't settle and I fell asleep dsis will just have to take us as we are.

ConnieComplaint · 29/11/2009 17:11

Had a fab night, thanks all

Starters was chicken wings, (but I had free food the rest of the day apart from a slice of w/meal toast)so I made it an EE day.

Main was rib eye steak with spuds & veg & I didn't have dessert. Stcuk to water & diet cola all night.

Today has been good too. HAd oat so simple for breakfast, climbed the mountain with my sis, dh & a couple of our friends. Came home and went 'santa' shopping!! Got some cool stuff

Ah good news then CC! I can 'see' you smiling

My day has been bad and it is going to get worse. I daren't do my food diary yet...

Without doing a sob story or anything, my ex decided to start his past shenanigans of stalking and harassing and the police had to be called at 3am this morning.

It has meant that I have had nothing to eat today except a bowl of leftover rice and chicken with cooked lettuce that I forced myself to eat and 3 purple ones from the Quality Street tin - and now I have cracked open the wine...

I can see the syns totting up already, but can't face any food

I will have to make sure I stay syn free all next week after the amount I have used/will use on darned wine!

Fruitgums · 30/11/2009 11:42

Connie - Great on you for having the willpower to skip the pudding. Not sure if I could have have resisted.

Kitty - sorry about the trouble that you are having with your ex It sounds absolutley horrid. Think you should try & eat something though.

As for me I've got my FIRST weigh in this evening!!! Please wish me luck... I haven't really stuck to the plan and it's also the time of the month for me.... I dread to think of what I weigh as I chickened out on weighing myself this morning But I am determined to get my head into gear and to stick to free food lists.

Also, what is Minimins?

1 syn for a pringle?!!!

tullytwo · 30/11/2009 12:19

Bloody hell am fed up again-another maintain even though I had lost a pound during the week-am hoping its just fluid or something but do find it so disheartening

I am so good the whole time and then I still dont lose-bloody PCOS makes my cycle so irregular too so I never know when time of the month is so dont if this is just bloating!

To top it all off dp made gorgeous lasagne last night and its sitting in the fridge calling me! I will resist but god its hard.

ConnieComplaint · 30/11/2009 20:18

TT - surely lasagne isn't too high in syns? On an EE day it's virtually angelic, unless the sauce is extraordinarily high in syns????

Kitty - sorry to hear about your ex What a prat. But don't let him ruin you! Tuck into fresh fruits & know how slim you will be & he's not worth licking your shoes!!!

Goof luck for your WI fruity Good job you chickend out from weighing yourself this morning - or at least my home scales aren't anywhere near the SW scales, they're always at least a couple of lb out either way!!

Hiya all, can I join in?
Been at slimming world since March this year, lost over 2 stone, and nearly at target weight, finding it more difficult now to stay on track.

Rialentless · 30/11/2009 21:18

tully, I would have the lasagne tonight and enjoy it, then wipe the slate clean in the morning and face it re-energised. Not the same, but I have an all-or-nothing approach to time of the month as I have an implant and it really doesn't agree with me it needs taking out next September (thankfully) I don't know whether I'll have it removed before then though.

Kitty, that's and and a little bit frightening. Good for you that you feel able to call the police though. Again, don't cut back on the syns for the rest of the week, just draw a line under it and start again tomorrow. This is for you

back in a sec...
