I toyed with the idea of a wii fit for xmas for me and DH from my parents, but we got a Midsomer Murders boxset and matalan vouchers instead! (I was thinking new clothes... sadly watchig DVDs involves nibbles and wine as Midsomers isn't nearly as much fun sober)
RC is probably one of the best and most sensible diets out there TBH, especially when combined with her exercise plans, but I suppose it's all down to what you want fom it isn't it? SW is good if you want unlimited carbs, WW/calorie counting good if you only want to eat 2 mars bars and a bottle of wine. They've all worked for me, depending where my head is while I'm doing it.
Anyway, RC - It is low fat and low GI. The 2 weeks kick start is breakfast of 200 cal, mid-morning "power snack" (fruit for the 1st 2 weeks) of 50 cal, lunch 300 cal, mid-afternoon power snack 50 cal, dinner of 400 cal, 3/4pt s/s milk or 1/2pt and 1 diet yogurt, and an extra portion of salad (which I don't quite get as salad and veg are unlimited), but based on low GI choices (so not meant to have more than half a banana, only new potatoes, green apples, multi grain bread etc). My only worry with these 2 weeks is the limited calories, as if I was calorie counting I would be on 1,500 at least I think, and I know it's not a good thing to cut back too much. But I want to try it properly and get the results mentioned in the book
Have had a great day up til now, aside from going to bed with crippling stomach ache, I expect from the paracetamol I've been taking for my head. Could be TOM though as I'm very sore up top. Hoping for a good day tomorrow and maybe some gentle exercise...
