Ria, search egg FR on the SW website, you should find it. It's very easy and very tasty. Now of course you can add a meat of your choice on EE.

Keeping the exercise till i'm slowing down.

MmeJaffaB · 19/01/2009 07:26

Morning everyone: 3lb off this week, got my 1/2stone award in 2 weeks. Yay!

RIAchforthestars · 19/01/2009 09:06

MJB, well done you!

RIAchforthestars · 19/01/2009 10:02

green today. just had scrambled egg on toast and an orange

toadette · 19/01/2009 12:01

MJB, well done!

I haven't stuck to SW plan very well this week. I think the 4.5lb loss last week has worked against me. I 'congratulated' myself by relaxing the self-restraint for a day or two but I couldn't get back on plan so will have to write this week off as I think I have gained a pound. Can't make it to weigh-in tomorrow so will be relying on my fellow SW-ers on here to keep me motivated - HELP me!

dearprudence · 19/01/2009 13:31

Fantastic MJB. Now you see, that's what happens when you carry on posting on the SW thread all weekend!

Toadette - can you get to another class? It really helps to draw a line under a week where you've struggled. Realistically, how much could you have gained? A pound? I'm sure it won't be as bad as you think.

If not, why not just start the new week today - what's gone is gone - and set a mini-target like writing a menu for the week.

I was a bit bad at the weekend, although I was pretty active. I had two social occasions to deal with, so am playing catch-up until Wednesday's weigh-in.

dearprudence · 19/01/2009 13:37

So our goals for this week are:

MmeJaffaB: 3 runs, 1 aerobics, 3 dance classes and a week of yummy health food.
sep1712: stick to plan
Ria: more exercise (and probably a few more name changes )
dearprudence: 15 minutes exercise every day (even if it's just walking)

Any more?

MmeJaffaB · 19/01/2009 13:57

toadette - come on, you can do this, it's really easy to slip and so difficult then to get going again. The 1lb doesn't matter but it will matter if it's joined by another next week, I know you don't want that to happen. Make sure you get to class ASAP, I always found that if I'd put on but then made the effort to stay at class it spured me on for the coming week. Take some time to plan some meals so you feel organised.

At the moment I keep asking myself: do I want that more than I want to loose some more pounds....... the answer for me at this time is NO, I really want to wear my cossi with pride this summer rather than be covering up embarassed.

OP posts:
MmeJaffaB · 19/01/2009 14:06

dearprudnce, looks like I'm going to be lonely at the weekends...... I don't mind, I'm quite happy talking to myself. I have to be good all weekend with weigh in on a Monday AM, see it's my plan and appears to be working for now.

RL over the weekend?

OP posts:
RIAchforthestars · 19/01/2009 14:29

I don't have a RL over weekends, I spend them thinking up new names

The exercise thing not going well so far, but the cold snow/rain has stopped so we will walk the school run. Food going well though

Put it behind you and start afresh toadette. If you have gained, say 1lb, it's a "new" lb and will be gone next week after a week on plan. It will be easier to get ris of than "old" lbs. does that make any sense?

toadette · 19/01/2009 16:19

Thanks for all your encouragement

I think I will try to get to a class on Thursday night instead and keep focused. I definitely need to draw a line under this week and start afresh in the morning.

I think my food goal this week is to plan, plan, plan and to record meticulously so that I stick within syns allowance. My exercise goal this week is to get out running at least two mornings this week and again at the weekend.

sep1712 · 19/01/2009 21:34

Well done jaffa!!!

toad: hope you do get to class it will help, try picturing yourself at target.

keep up the good work ria.

I lost 5lb this week, wit woo.

RIAchforthestars · 19/01/2009 21:37

well done sep (am a bit of these bigger losses)

so, if I go out for a walk and I nearly freeze and get wet through to my pants (DS2 says I'm not allowed to use that word cos it's rude), does that count as a really massive amount of exercise???

sep1712 · 19/01/2009 21:51

Thanks ria,

Wear your rain coat really tight and you'll sweat more!!!!

I'm not into exercise at all so no pointers from me, sorry.

MmeJaffaB · 20/01/2009 09:22

What does he think of kacks then Ria?

How about some energetic housework?.......... hoover to music....... OK, shut up JAFFA, I hear you!

1 Aerobic , 1 dance yesterday and 1 Run/walk this morning, done! Shite...now I'm knackered.

Green today for me, or us should I say as my father (who lives with us) has decided to do it to and is eating what I am eating.
2 Weetabix for breakkie
Potato skins for lunch with a green salad
Quorn sausages, egg, chips and beans for dinner.

OP posts:
dearprudence · 20/01/2009 12:24

Sep - great loss well done.

I'm not one for big losses either Ria. It's taken me 2.5 years to lose 3 stone (1 and a half to go)

Excellent work on the exercise MJB. I'd set myself the target of 15 mins every day - DH is away so I can't get to all my usual classes. Last night I so didn't feel like it after putting DS to bed, but I came down and did 20 mins free step on the Wii fit.

Did another 16 mins of jogging and stepping this morning before school run/work, so managing to keep to my target so far.

Weigh-in tomorrow morning.

sep1712 · 20/01/2009 14:18

well done on the 3 stone pru.

I'm having chips egg and beans aswell jaffa.
Not keen on quorn, if you can't have the really sausage i'd rather not bother teehee.

Well done all with your exercise.

dearprudence · 21/01/2009 12:26

It's quiet here today. Where is everyone?

sep1712 · 21/01/2009 19:45

Hi all, it is a bit tumble weed isn't it.

How did weigh in go pru? did you get away with the naughty week end?

WallOfSilence · 21/01/2009 20:57

Hi everyone!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes from last week, I don't think I've been on since then, though I read them on my mobile!!

I did OK this week again, although I ate out twice, on Friday night it was a green day friendly noodle bar. I had thai chicken noodle soup & looked dead easy to make, I think DH will probably have a go at it. I followed it with Satay chicken on a bed of noodles, OMG it was absolutely delicious!! Foe dessert I have an ecotic fruit salad, pity it was accompanied by a flake & a wafer twirly thing... though I did give the flake to my DH!! I didn't have any alcohol because I was driving.

Saturday we went to HSM on ice & I have to admit that although I just had fruti salad and natural yog for brekkie, I stuffed myself on popcorn

Then on Saturday night we went to a local restaurant (myself & 3 of my sisters) and we had a ball! I had melon for starters, a 6oz steak with tobacco onions, champ & veg.. (bad, very very bad..the champ was to DIE for) swiftly followed by sticky toffee pudding & real vanilla ice-cream, (so fresh I could feel the pods in my teeth!) Accompanied by seven one or two glasses of rose wine!!

My sisters stayed over & one of them is 9 months pregnant so had no room for brekkie after the meal the night before so I chopped up some fruit & we grazed on that... until my other sister got up & demanded a fried breakfast!!! So I made her scrambled egg & bacon (I told her I didn't own a pan so made the egg in a microwave & grilled the bacon!!)

Anyway, had weigh-in tonight & had 2lb off so I'm over the moon!!

Well done everyone on those losses, we're all shrinking!! (Not quick enough for my liking, but slow & steady wins the race!)

RIAchforthestars · 21/01/2009 21:25

that's a good loss WoS.

I am going through a massive crisis with one the boys ATM, so it's all gone on a bit of a back-burner here. Not that I am eating much anyway, but what I do eat isn't SW. Hopefully once tomorrow is over I can get back to it. Poor boy, he is nearly 12, but he's still my baby and I still want to pack him away in cotton wool and not let him out into the big bad world

WallOfSilence · 21/01/2009 21:36

Aw Ria, is it going to be easy to sort it out?

I know what you mean about him still being your baby, my sister's baby is 13 tomorrow & she still worries about her.

Is everything OK though?

RIAchforthestars · 21/01/2009 21:46

we are sorted in ourselves at home (barring DSs anxiety problems that he will no doubt have forever), the school issues might be more difficult, but DH is going in to school tomorrow and won't take any shit. we've messed about too much in the past taking what the teacher said at face value and going away with our tails between our legs. The good thing (?) is that the school has just been hauled through the local papers re bullying, so they should be on the ball for fear of further fall-out. because DH felt the primary failed DH he joined their board of governors, so he is pretty clued up and I'm assuming secondary is similar. it's another one of those stupid situations that happened, were dealt with and spiralled out of all proportion, and then the working through at home brought out all sorts of other issues. It's not doing my health a great deal of good either

sorry for hijacking thread - buggers the old diet up a bit this stress!
