OPEN TO ALL⭐️ Weight Loss, Wellbeing & Motivation Thread To Support Healthy Habits. Following on from ⭐️⭐️

Here we are with our LOSE IT! Superfood September 2026! Thread. To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a trim body) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!

Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We have a WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable) that’s based on several sensible principles including:-

  1. Eat a variety of real whole foods such as fresh vegetables, salad, berries, beans, nuts, eggs, lean meat, good fats etc.
  2. Reduce sugars, simple carbs, alcohol and UPFs.
  3. Plan your meals & log your intake. Also be mindful of portion control.
  4. Intermittent fasting - research suggests (Zoe study) that adhering to an eating window of 10 hours can have a positive effect on health, wellbeing and weight loss. I personally have a eating window of approximately 7hrs - 12:00 - 19:00.
  5. Stay hydrated! 💧
  6. Move as much as able. Particularly strength based exercise. Muscle keeps you strong as well as revs up your metabolism.
  7. Get the fibre in! Great for your gut biome as well as 💩
  8. SLEEP! Good sleep hygiene and a regularly sleep routine can be beneficial to weight loss. I’m always more hungry following poor sleep.
  9. Be mindful about your own mental wellbeing and try not to eat your feelings. We’ve all been there!
  10. Be kind to yourself! ❤️ One or two slip ups won’t undo all your previous efforts. Just check-in with yourself, reinforce your good intentions and carry on!
I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone after having been on the wrong side of 12stone.

Are you in?😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Any recipes/workouts that have worked for you, you’d like to share?

@TheRealHousewifesorry to hear that you are in pain and have been having all these health issues - I hope you start to feel better soon and don’t feel pressure to post, let your tank fill up again first 😊😊😊💜💜💜 you’ve been fab running these threads, and they have been and continue to be a real help!

My family event on Saturday was good fun and I managed to not go totally crazy with hungover comfort food yesterday so a successful week! Back on to the count today and trying to have very minimal calories again Monday-Friday this week as we have a party to go to on Saturday again 🥳🥳 so need to bank more calories for food and drinks out! It would be much easier to lose weight if I had no social plans!! Might have to become a hermit during November, October already looking busy 😂🙈

SummerHols2026 · 14/09/2026 09:06

I pulled out some jeans to wear today for the first time since the warm weather. Having lost 6lbs over the summer, I was really hoping they would be more comfortable but alas, no Blush which is a bit disheartening as I have been saying no to almost all treats for 8 weeks now with the exception of the Krispy Kreme.

Sigh.

This will make you laugh though, I put them on anyway. Working from home today so the top button is undone and I’m hoping they will act as a deterrent if the kitchen calls.

TheRealHousewife · 14/09/2026 11:09

Good Morning You Lovely People 😊

Thank you for the well wishes x. I feel I’ve turned a corner pain wise and I’ve not had pain meds for 1.5 days which is a welcome relief 🙏

I’ve managed to sit at a table today to eat brunch which is certainly more civilised 😅

Sharing a pic of my minestrone inspired soup. I say inspired as I swapped out the pasta for chickpeas and made a spicy version. Very tasty.

Hopped on scale and down a 1lb :). I’ve had a recent Hba1c blood test and my numbers are down which I’m attributing to the GLP1👌

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Ooh! Non-scale victory autumn edition.

Got the autumn coats down. Lovely wool coat that hasn’t fit for years, now fits beautifully. And I have a Didrikson waterproof that never fit ever (I bought it years ago in a sale, hopeful) that now zips up. Still a little tight, so some work to go for that one, but very happy!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 14/09/2026 15:00

Well done and good wishes @TheRealHousewife . Soup looks lovely.

OMAD here today - precisely one tin of baked beans because the morning was total chaos. I may have something small later as that seems a bit meagre.

Fellsbells · 15/09/2026 09:13

Amazing @LemonDrizzle23 well done.

Still in a serious blip here, but it’s partly carb/water weight. It’s amazing how hard it is to lose weight and how easy it is to gain it.

HappyLittleTreeFriend · 15/09/2026 18:18

Oof I am feeling hungry today 😭 I’ve got a bit of a cold and I just feel like I want loads of carbs! So far today I’ve had a banana, a pain au chocolat and a small bowl of soup. Dinner will be cheese and ham omelette with some beans and a smallllll portion of homemade chips!

TheRealHousewife · 15/09/2026 18:41

Hi Everyone

Does anyone else feel the weather is warmer than usual for mid September? I’ve got a right dab on in the kitchen. 🥵

Popped on scales, 1lb down. Fingers crossed it sticks 🤞

Thank you @TheWayTheLightFalls . I hope you’re ok ❤️

Great NSV @LemonDrizzle23 👏

Menu
Meal 1 - M&S Oaty Seeded Gluten Free Loaf, Avocado & Blue Cheese Topping.
Meal 2 - Spicy minestrone soup with toasted sourdough. Kefir drizzle. Fage.
Drinks - Tea, black coffee & water.

Cleaning & closing kitchen then it’s an early night for me as I’m shattered. x

Glad you’re feeling a little better @TheRealHousewife

52.9kg this morning. Pizza for dinner tonight made with a Crosta wholeblend wrap, homemade pizza sauce, mushrooms, red pepper, pineapple and plenty of mozzarella. My favourite.

WearyAuldWumman · 15/09/2026 23:35

My weight is sticking. I'd like to think that it's muscle, but...

Having said that, my arms look not too bad - they'd become quite wasted looking at one point and now I can see muscle when I'm exercising. Shame about the stomach!

10kstepsaday · 16/09/2026 06:30

WOW - gain of 0.6lb this week. Which is probably accurate, I have relaxed a bit with calories thanks to a couple of family birthdays. Cake all round!!
Back on it now. @TheRealHousewifeI keep finding myself boiling hot around the house! Where's the autumn!!?

SW: 10 st 8.0 (1st June)
CW: 10 st 5.6
GW: 9 st 7.0

Good luck everyone !

Building muscle is fantastic @WearyAuldWumman. Muscle burns more anergy than fat (even at rest) 👏

Stayed the same 😢 gutted if I’m honest. I’ve really upped my step count this week and been careful about what I’m eating. I will try to not be deterred and continue with the healthy choices and hope for a pound off next time 🤞

DreamingOfGeneHunt · 16/09/2026 06:48

Not weighing myself today because I was hungry yesterday and had toast and jam before bed.

Size 16 is starting to be too big now but I'm still too large for a 14. I could cosplay as a convincing pterodactyl with my bingo wings though.

AuutumLeaves1983 · 16/09/2026 06:55

Well done, to those who are happy with progress and well done for being here/keep going if you’re like me and a bit disappointed.

I’m up from last week and getting a bit frustrated. I’m thinking I probably need to reduce my calories. According to Nutracheck, I’m averaging 1500 calories per day. But I also walk an average of 20,000 steps a day and do home dumbbell workouts on 4 or 5 days per week. I’m really wanting to focus on body recomposition, so I don’t want to go too low with calories.

PatienceOfEngels · 16/09/2026 06:58

Wow = - 1kg

Managed to get back to where I was 2 weeks ago. Very pleased with that especially since I was away this weekend and ate lots of yummy food. Discovered Italian sandwich shops and sampled a different one each day including dessert - takeaway cannoli and tiramisu! What a time to be alive ❤

Weirdly warm and humid here the last few days, with scattered sowers (thunderstorms predicted this afternoon!). Makes me not want to walk or get outside. Managed to get a lot of steps in at the weekend though and focusing on properly relaxing as well with reading, art gallery, sitting and people watching when out and about. Having lots of conversations about smartphone use with our teen atm and trying to set a good example.

SW 79.1kg 10/08/26 (BMI 29.1)
CW 76.8kg (BMI 28.2)
GW1 67.9kg (for a BMI under 25)
GW2 63.5kg (BMI 23.3)

10/08/26 79.1kg
19/08/26 77.1kg
26/08/26 77.1kg
2/9/26 76.7kg
9/9/26 77.8kg
16/9/26 76.8kg

Beef bean burritos last night with salad, creme fraiche, cheese and homemade guacamole (I only had 1 and it was enough). Also had a wrap for lunch with salad, honey chili halloumi and homemade tzatziki.

Tonight planning broccoli, cauliflower and potato bake (with cheese sauce) with chiplotas. Probably a wrap for lunch as long as no one else snaffles the last halloumi slices in the fridge.

Realized how important my "no evening eating after dinner" rule is. If I give into my cravings (often just boredom actually!) and eat bread and cheese, or nuts, then I put on weight and wake up with a dry mouth/foggy head. I bought some grapefruit for the times when I really can't resist eating after dinner (so tasty and refreshing when cold).

No special occasions/events the next week so hoping for a loss next week.

LemonDrizzle23 · 16/09/2026 07:12

Morning WOWers.

Stay the same for me this week - 13 st 6.4. Nutracheck records tell me I was only in a deficit one day this week. A week of sandwiches, crisps, chocolate and fizzy drinks by the looks of things 😬

So annoying how many calories those tiny things have in them…

Morning wowers. Well done everyone, great turnout for today.

Amazingly I’ve maintained again. I have been up and down again this week. So up that Nutracheck gave me an alert about it!

Focusing on the positives, I’ve upped my exercise again and I’m slowly getting a grip on my calories.

RoseInAPot · 16/09/2026 10:19

Bum, completely missed posting last week and haven't been tracking for a few days which has shown up on the scales this morning!

Not doing too badly with IF but really lost the plot for a few days with over-eating.

I’m using my Happy Scale trend weight, and started on 24th June (12 weeks ago) with a weight of 66.5kg.
I hit my first milestone (65.2kg) on 13th July but went back up to 65.4kg and stuck there for a while.

Trend weight 65.8kg this morning, hardly surprising. Still below where I was in June though, so small mercies!

Exercise not gone well for various reasons and niggling injuries but I have put together a new plan to start next week incorporating more rest days, and I am going back to proper meal planning.

Really must break the psychological barrier of 10 stones (63.5kg) as I know once I get under that I feel so much better in myself.

ToddlersAreBananas · 16/09/2026 15:53

@PatienceOfEngels I'm cooking aubergine parmigana again for tea! Thought you'd like to know as it's a regular of yours!
