Following on from ☀️LOSE IT!☀️Joyful June 2025☀️

OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Summers arrived!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs. Currently I’m maintaining at 9st 2lb but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

Hi, I haven't been on the July month. I was in June, made good food choices for about 3 weeks but then got demotivated as I was still at my start weight. Weighed myself yesterday and I was above it. I did realise tracking my weight regularly in June than I had a peak before my period, which is due in a few days. So I'm going to eat more healthy and move more then do my first June weighin next Wednesday.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 09/07/2025 06:13

73.6 today on actual Wednesday rather than me mixing up the days of the week Grin. 1.4kg / 2.something lb under goal. Nice graph from HappyScale. Good luck to other WoWers.

another 1lb for me this week. I need to set a new goal in a few weeks!

SW 13st13
CW 11st 10
GW 11st 8

well done everyone for checking in

LemonDrizzle23 · 09/07/2025 07:21

Sorry for your loss @Sjanish33 This is a kind group and a good place to take back a bit of control.

Well done to everyone WOWing! I’m teetering on the brink of 200lbs. I think a strenuous work out last night has puffed the scales a bit this morning. But I’ll be back down again.

Loss for me this week of 1lb

SW: 15 st 8
CW: 14 st 4

Raindancer411 · 09/07/2025 07:24

@socks1107Well done!! Looking good :)

i weighed myself today, after getting last Wednesday. It looks like my weight has gone up after my initial 4.7lbs loss. I have been good and keeping to my calories, so not sure how other than maybe carrying more water?

SW: 134.4lbs
CW: 130.4lbs
GW: 114lbs

PatienceOfEngels · 09/07/2025 07:34

I am going to hold off with WoW. Have weighed in at 76kg for the last week and suddenly today +0.8kg!! I'm going to stay off the scales until next week and focus on feeling better about myself.

Wins for the week:
Started daily yoga on Friday so on day 6 today.
Daily nature walk since Friday and have hit 10K steps 5 days in a row.
Home-cooked meals with minimal UPF.
18 months of no booze.

Goals for the next week (as well as keeping up the above):
>no calories in drinks (except white coffee with breakfast or with meal out tomorrow)
>no crisps/biscuits/chocolate
>no eating after dinner

Onwards!

biscuitcat · 09/07/2025 07:34

Hmmm only 0.5lb down this week. I had a big whoosh off from Wednesday to Thursday last week so I imagine that was all water weight - I’ve gained 1lb since Thursday and given I’ve been under calories all week I think the big loss must have been false. Still a little disheartening but onwards and hopefully a bit more off this week!

Well done all weighing in today!

Water, time of the month/hormones? This is why I weigh daily, I need to solve the mystery!

QueenMabby · 09/07/2025 07:44

Back up to 9st 6.2lb this morning. I’m currently transitioning from one type of progesterone on my hrt to a different kind so I’m expecting things to be a bit up and down for a week or two. As long as I hold fast below 9st 7lb I’ll take that as a win!

MsSauerkraut · 09/07/2025 08:09

Morning all! I’m down another 2lbs this week and started a gym class, pretty pleased with progress this week as it’s been an emotional / stressful / hormonal one! I have a big holiday in a few weeks and have a specific dress I want to fit into so fingers crossed…

TheRealHousewife · 09/07/2025 08:39

Good Morning

It’s lovely to see so many of you posting, keeping accountable and making solid progress 👍👏🥳 I’ll be honest and say I’ve not read up on thread since my last posting but hopefully will.

Im back home now after a short stay in hospital after having what I’ve been told was a TIA Mini Stroke, don’t feel too sparkling but told no lasting effects. I have been referred to the TIA Clinic and I’ve been told I’m not allowed to drive until I’m discharged from that clinic.

Keep going and here’s to you all having a great WOW Day 🤞

1.3kg off this week, taking me down to 79.5kg. I'm hoping that if it comes off slowly that it might just stay off!

socks1107 · 09/07/2025 09:34

@TheRealHousewife I’m sorry to read you’ve been unwell!! That must have been a shock. Hope you are resting at home

EasternEcho · 09/07/2025 10:02

@TheRealHousewife I'm sorry to read about your TIA. I'm glad there are no lasting effects.

Hlglu56 · 09/07/2025 10:24

Just half a pound of for me this week but feeling pleased. It’s that time of the month so I always hold on to extra weight and I haven’t gone crazy with cravings. Feeling positive for a better loss next week.

Haemagoblin · 09/07/2025 10:51

Hello Lose It ladies! I'm joining in for moral support. My dad has set us both a challenge to lose a stone by his birthday (20th August) - trying not to feel too downhearted that his starting weight is lower than my goal weight 😂

We're checking in every Sunday and it's been a bit up and down but I think finally I may be on the down part:

8 June: 14 st 10 lb (highest I've ever been 😭)
15 June: 14 st 8lb
23 June: 14 st 10 lb again (why??)
29 June: 14 st 7lb
6 July 14 st 8 lb

But then today I did a cheeky little pre-weigh and it's 14 st 4 lb!!

I always pretty much ignore rises and falls of up to 3 lbs as my cycle affects my weight a lot - but 6 lbs is almost half a stone and that's real, right???

My dream weight would be 9 st 7 lb - but realistically at 40 that is never going to happen. My realistic goal would be 11 st. What makes me laugh is how I once would have considered that grotesquely fat 😂now it's almost a pipe dream!

I'm pleased to have this accountability with my dad. Fact of the matter is I have zero willpower and no self-love to motivate me to improve my weight - but I'll do almost anything to avoid letting other people down, so this may be exactly what I need!

Marshmellowbunny · 09/07/2025 11:45

Oh @TheRealHousewife I'm sorry you've been unwell! I hope you feel a bit better soon.

I forgot to post last week and haven't yet posted on the July thread (as if it's July already)

SW: 67.85KG
CW: 65.25KG
First GW: 65 KG

Not too far off my first goal. I don't really feel any different though! Hmmm. Towards the start of being in hospital I was weighed and I was at 63 KG. Maybe I should make that one of my goals 🤔

Question
How do you decide what units to weigh in?
I've always done stones and pound, but my partner said that's very old fashioned 😹I am trying real hard to understand other units but for some reason I just can't visualise it! I'm trying to stick to KG from here on out.

I wonder if it's because 10.9.6 to 10.3.8 just sounds like more🤔

Old fashioned?? I mean it's a unit of measurement, it doesn't stop working because it's old 😂

I tried to use lbs for a while as lots of american weight loss resources use them, but they don't MEAN anything to me as raised on stones. Stick with what works for you I say!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 09/07/2025 11:59

Sending love @TheRealHousewife

Fellsbells · 09/07/2025 12:01

Well done Wowers some fantastic progress 👏🏻

I wasn’t go to weigh today because I ate carbs and upfs with abandon yesterday. I am up a bit but not too bad.

That's true. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. There's a few measuring things I use that he says are old fashioned but I can't remember them right now. He's from the South and he think it's a northern thing 🤣

He does say it playfully. Doesn't make it any less confusing! 🤣

I will stick with my stones and pounds 👍🏻 haha

frostedshreddie · 09/07/2025 12:06

Well done everyone on the WOWs!
Welcome newbies 😁
@MarshmellowbunnyI am 30 yo and using st and lbs! I can't get my head around kg 🤣

Bufftailed · 09/07/2025 12:09

Thanks everyone who is inspiring me

PreetyinPurple · 09/07/2025 12:14

Went for pizza yesterday and was really overfull after it and didn’t really eat again. And this morning another 0.2kg off so that’s 0.5kg this week, which after my complaining is great. 2 kilos to go until my first target (75kg)
