Summers arrived!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs. Currently I’m maintaining at 9st 2lb but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Today was:
Fruit Smoothie &
Pepper and Pasta Frittata
I also ate a Pick Up! Biscuit And a sausage roll.... I find it so hard to avoid the snacks!!!

Anyway ate dinner @ 5.30pm and started my fast so not going to eat now until lunchtime tomorrow.
Hoping for a loss this week after a small gain last week 🙏🏻

My moving average is going up since returning from holiday! The scales say loss of 2lb but my moving average says up. Bit disappointing as everyone irl said it’ll drop off in days. Fully into my desk job so not even getting the same level of exercise and have a stone to lose in 9 weeks. Feeling very frustrated especially as I’d stalled again before going away

I'm down 1.2kg this week (2.6lb) which I'm delighted about after a stressful week.

SW: 97.4kg
CW: 93.5kg

loss to date July : 3.9kg (8.6lbs) !!!
TW: 65kg

Doing a of walking, but no weight training and weight is up according to hotel scales. I use stones at home, but these are in kilos, so I’m not sure how bad it is - 2 or 3 pounds.

Might just be food weight… I’m halfway through the trip.

Wish me luck for summer holidays i need to stay on top of my weight i need to make sure am not messing up my diet and most of all make sure my pounds are dropping off. I really need to be staying focus. Wish me luck

No weight change but we went to Tim Hortons last night so can’t complain. Was going to go for a big walk this morning but am waiting for a delivery.

Weighing in a day early this week, as we’re going out for bbq tonight. Tomorrow morning will be a write off!

No idea what the actual loss is as my weight is boomeranging, but it’s going down overall, so I’ll take it.

SW: 15 st 8
CW: 14 st 3.6

Wont be seeing a 13 by the end of July, but if I can finish on 14st 2, I will have hit 2/3 of my goals for July.

I cannot get my exercise mojo back. I really want to find it. I tried a strength class last night and body combat tonight but I was just feeling lethargic and getting hot and bothered despite minimal effort. I really want to get my fitness levels back up, but I can’t seem to summon the energy. I have a health check in a month which includes a fitness test and I’d really like to be in better shape for it.

i think the air is just too still and close and it’s making me irritable. Harrumph.

WoW is 74.3kg today, so still under my maintenance goal. Happy. I think the school holidays will test me big time though.

Down another 3lb this week - I’m going to miss the extra breastfeeding calories when I start weaning on a couple of months!! I’m just under half a stone away from having lost 10% of my (very high!) starting weight which feels like an achievement. Still a long way to go after that but making progress. I think my next non-scale aim is to really up my fruit and veg intake so I’m in the habit of filling up on those foods before my calorie allowance starts to drop as breastfeeding reduces.

Good morning WoW'ers and good luck!

Just a quick check in from me. On holiday, so a combination of the wrong food - fish & chips, cream teas and ice creams and meal times being very variable and my period has shown up... so just going to do the best possible. Have done some decent walks of about 6 miles on Sunday and again on the agenda today mixed in with less active days.

So pleased with the last week, it was hard to stick to but managed to stay within my calories and have lost.
I've looked back to start of July when I started calorie counting and my starting weight was 191.9

CW 184.7
So 7lb down in 3 weeks.

I'm really hoping my old clothes will start to fit comfortably soon.

I am down 6lbs this week. I guess it’s lots of water weight and due to being ill with a restricted diet, but I’ll take the win and try and minimise the inevitable bounce back up.

My WOW is 10 st 0.0, so and 0.8 lb loss this week and about 3 weeks at 10 st 0 something 🤣 my body is really making we work to get into the 9s but hey ho a loss is a loss.

I did 25 mins on exercise bike whilst watching TV last night which I haven't done for ages. Felt good and helped me sleep.

Its already testing me had a bad night with food last night but need to keep on going. Another day another start. Need to keep on going and will. Cannot fail to reach my goal.
I have worked sooo hard over 6 months I need to stay strong over summer holidays.

Only 0.2kg off this week but I think I’m on the verge of losing more, I know it.
My PjS are loose and so are my knickers though and my indigestion has improved enormously.
I am also trying get fit @whatwouldthedoctordobut the humidity is making it hard. I was going to join the gym but I am worried about my knee, I don’t dare do any jumping!

Ugh, I was hoping for a low before holiday and I gained! 150.8lb today. 148.4 2 weeks ago.
Do people count on holiday? I'm taking my running gear.

I think the humidity is a big factor @PreetyinPurple It’s very annoying.

I had a shocker of a WOW. Up 2lbs. But I feel very bloated today with painful cramps, so I’m hoping it’s a bit of a false weigh in.

Have been good so far this week, since starting over again on Monday! I'm proud of myself for not falling into chocolate yesterday (my day off), that's a first for a few weeks 😳
I also got a spin workout in.

SW: 167.3lbs (Monday)
CW: 166.1lbs
Loss so far: 1.2lbs
I know it's water weight and will start slowing down, but it's nice to see a drop!
