⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Following on from ⭐️Move It March 2025⭐️

Spring has sprung at long last! ☀️ Are you ready for Active April?

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st The last time I weighed I was hovering around 9st 2lbs. I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! Come summer you’ll be pleased you did 😊

Beloved long timers it would be great for you to keep going❤️

Weighed in this morning.

SW: 91kg
CW: 89.5kg (only 1.5kg loss over the whole month 😭)
GW: 79kg

Butterflyarms · 02/04/2025 07:55

Actually maybe my expectations are unrealistic. It's because I hit 88.4 just before my period and then went back up as my cycle progressed. Have to remember it's about the long game - will take a year to reach my target so just need to keep plugging away. It's still a loss

socks1107 · 02/04/2025 09:15

Another 1lb for me this week. Happy with that as we battling illness and I overate on Mother’s Day plus drank too much the night before at a concert.
SW 13.13
CW 12.9
GW 11.8

LighterSpring25 · 02/04/2025 09:25

I forgot to weigh this morning but I've had a couple of bad weeks. I'm going to weigh Friday.

I need to take this more seriously. 6 weeks on Saturday till my first holiday. Only 4 nights but I will be wearing swimwear.

LighterSpring25 · 02/04/2025 09:41

@LemonDrizzle23 I'm sorry for your loss.

socks1107 · 02/04/2025 09:45

I’ve got the date wrong, actually Ive stayed the same. So I’ve bounced around the same few ponds for a few weeks now.
i tried dropping calories but that’s clearly not worked. Could be as simple as two heavy weekends with drinking so will do this week and reassess next week if no change. Bit frustrating

belnding · 02/04/2025 10:19

Weighed in this morning and was down to 70.5kg - very surprising, but I’ve been really active every day since last Tuesday- so that combined with calorie counting must have made the difference.
also have barely eaten any bread since last week. (Although still managed home made cake).

SW:72kg
CW: 70.5kg
GW: 68kg

Now can I maintain that loss and continue to slim down throughout April?

TerroristToddler · 02/04/2025 10:34

Not a great WOW for me this week, but definitely expected! I'm up 0.4lbs on last week's WOW (and up 1.4lbs from Friday's sneaky weigh in!). Blaming Mothers Day weekend, which saw me eat a takeaway one evening and a lovely lunch the next day. I won't regret it, as it was nice to be sociable and enjoy food!

SW - 140lbs
CW - 129.8lbs
GW - 125 lbs

Am out for dinner tonight, but will try hard to limit the damage! Am walking on the treadmill a lot during the day whilst working to try and get more movement in. Peloton rides are out at the moment as I've got another cold (second cold in 2 months!)

TheRealHousewife · 02/04/2025 10:53

Good Morning

Welcome to the thread @TheWayTheLightFalls @Midlifeshenanigans and anyone I might have missed. 👍

Menu
Meal 1 - Sardine Stuffed Red Peppers.

Drinks - Tea, black coffee & plenty of water.

Just back from a 5k walk. Weighed in the same this morning but I am on period week

HollyGolightly4 · 02/04/2025 12:35

Is wow 'weigh on Wednesday'?

LighterSpring25 · 02/04/2025 12:41

@TheRealHousewife Isee you follow a mediterranean diet. I'm going to try this. I ordered a recipe book. I'm eating the Greek salad from Tesco right now which is nice.

Yes it is.

I forgot today though.

LavenderFields7 · 02/04/2025 12:46

SW 11 stone 3
GW 9 stone

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 02/04/2025 13:49

Afternoon all! I was pleased to maintain at 10st 9lbs today after a fairly indulgent weekend.

Focus for April is to keep up with the calorie counting and exercise. My first goal is to get back to 10at 4lb which is where I was at at the start of the summer holidays last year, but if I could get to 10st by the summer I would be delighted!

buzzofthebumblebee · 02/04/2025 17:14

Will take yesterday's start weight 12 st 0 as WOW.
Day 3 and sticking to calories so far.
B - berries, greek yoghurt & seeds / spoon museli
L - chicken, salad & v small portion leftover pesto pasta
D - baked cod, roast veggies & 1/2 packet Spanish grains
S - pear
Determined to see a decent loss by wow next week.

IDareSay · 03/04/2025 07:22

I'm a day late as was out all day yesterday but weighing in for April at 67kg.

Higher than last week but a fair bit lower than it was on Monday when I got back from a very indulgent weekend away!

I need to find my last March post to remind myself of some targets, but I do know that I have lost roughly 5 or 6 kg since January start and 4" off my waist.

Back later...

socks1107 · 03/04/2025 08:05

I’m def in a plateu even happy scale has moved my goal date to October from June and has moving average of 0.3. Not sure how I go from here and feeling a bit fed up as March has seen a slow loss and I’ve still realistically got two stone to lose

LBB2020 · 03/04/2025 08:05

Morning, an ok day yesterday. Tried to stick to three meals no snacks but did end up having an afternoon snack as I was so hungry. I did an arms and core YouTube video so overall not too bad

I've had such a rubbish two weeks I reckon when I weigh tomorrow I'll be back to my SW in March.

Today I have yogurt & strawberries then wholemeal pitta, chicken & salad planned up to yet.

Fellsbells · 03/04/2025 08:59

Good day yesterday.
B - egg and avocado
L- salmon & green beans and a brownie
D- pasta bolognaise and a chocolate bar.
S- greek yogurt. Nuts. Probiotic drink.

I kept within calories, but didn’t hit my protein goals.
I am feeling tired all the time.

socks1107 · 03/04/2025 09:27

@LighterSpring25i had three days where I went over calories but that’s all. I’ve looked back and every Friday in March I’ve been the same weight and then bounced up back and down through the week but always settling back at 12.10. Im at a loss how to break it tbh.
I am so active at work dropping calories makes me shake with hunger, I set my activity to sedentary when in reality I’m active 4/5 days a week of around 18k steps and the gym twice a week. Feel a bit frustrated and summer is fast approaching and I’m still teetering on the obese side of a bmi depending on the weight that day 😔

That is so annoying when you have been so good. I have no advise but hope you get better results soon.
