⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Following on from ⭐️Move It March 2025⭐️

Spring has sprung at long last! ☀️ Are you ready for Active April?

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st The last time I weighed I was hovering around 9st 2lbs. I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! Come summer you’ll be pleased you did 😊

Beloved long timers it would be great for you to keep going❤️

Checking in with my 1 week progress. I know I’m a bit out of sync with the Wednesday weigh!

SW 66.5kg
CW 65.3kg
GW 64.5kg
UGW 63kg

LBB2020 · 07/04/2025 12:39

I weighed myself yesterday and was 11st1lb was hoping to be under 11st but never mind! New week and feeling motivated

LemonDrizzle23 · 07/04/2025 20:42

First day of our holiday today. No scales at the cottage! However, I managed 11,000 steps today and I’m aiming to continue with nutracheck. We’re so busy everyday, and I know that if I sit and eat a load of crap I’ll get a vaguely dodgy tummy and the outings will feel dicey 😬

Weather has been absolutely glorious! We had to put suncream on in the end. DHs forehead is toasty pink… Such a lovely day though.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 07/04/2025 23:31

Ooh, busy weekend of chat.

i was rubbish at calorie counting this weekend, I didn’t even have the excuse of enjoying a sunny weekend, but I was very busy around the house and garden despite being in a lot of pain after a complex root canal treatment. But despite less wine than a normal weekend and being fairly mindful of food choices a spot weigh in this morning had me three pounds up on last WOW 😭. Surely some mistake… so I will see what this week brings. In response I did go out for a 20 walk at lunchtime and complete a Les mills strength class though.

LBB2020 · 08/04/2025 08:14

Ok day yesterday drank lots of water, stuck to three meals no snacks (although had a doughnut for pudding after dinner) and did a C25K run

Midnightstar76 · 08/04/2025 08:21

Fast day today. WFH day today so will be busy with that distraction and find it easier to fast when at home. Weighed in on Monday at 12 stone and a 1/4 so delighted with that. Finally going in the right direction. Doggy walk at lunch then this evening weight work out and work at the belly zone

HollyGolightly4 · 08/04/2025 08:48

First official day of the holidays didn't quite go to plan. I couldn't resist the leftover prawn crackers (that I'd virtuously shunned the day before) after I burnt my healthy chicken meal.

Went out for a meal and didn't choose my planned one. Then we shared a desert (a sharing one, so it was huge!)!

I exceeded my calories by about 800, but I had earned back 1000 calories through exercise so I was left with 305. I won't do that often (I think calorie calculations can be a bit dodgy), but I thought it'd be ok for one day.

It's really handy that nutracheck have eating out places for calories! Definite plus for it.

Hope everyone else is getting on ok ☀️🌷 this feels very cathartic!

Good Morning!

There are some fabulous results being posted! 👌👏.

Full disclosure, due to not being 100% I’m not in my foody groove. I don’t feel I’m over eating or anything but I’m not on it like I was. Tracking food/macros is intermittent and I’m not weighing portions. If I don’t shift up a gear I can fully expect not to see downward movement on the scale. I know from previous experience that not doing those 2 things are enough to totally sabotage any weight loss. I need to get my arse in gear 😬

Menu
Meal 1 - Vegetable frittata & side salad.
Meal 2 - Spicy Chicken wraps & salad.
Drinks - Tea, black coffee and water.

I need to remember to WOW tomorrow to see where I am at 👍

I'm getting so disheartened. I've actually gone up now and I'm hungry.

It’s so frustrating when we do what we think will get us results and the opposite happens and you are still hungry! Try to eat enough food that keeps you satisfied such as protein, healthy fats and plenty of fibre. Try to reduce sugars, processed foods, alcohol etc. It can make a difference ❤️ PS I hope you have a better day and not feel miserably hungry x

Relaxed over the weekend and it’s pushed my weight up. I thought I was safe because I’m doing more exercise than normal, but no. A bit of cardio doesn’t give me free rein to eat all the carbs in sight.

I need to get myself in gear and stop sabotaging myself a couple of days a week which ruins all the progress I’ve made. I’ve only got 4 weeks now. May has snuck up on me.

TheRealHousewife · 08/04/2025 17:53

You can do it @Fellsbells👍

After what felt like 5 years of a plateau I am down a 1 lb today. Hope this is the start of movement downwards - happy out

WearyAuldWumman · 08/04/2025 23:45

Had a gym session this morning. Trying to keep up HIIT. 10 minutes only on the treadmill - but got up to 7km per hr, fast walking. 5 minutes on the SPARC at the end.

5 sets of 10 on the low row at 30kg. Only 3 sets of 10 at 20kg for the lat press; only managed one set for the triceps.

Weight was down half a pound this morning...probably just fluid!

Have cut back on the lattes - now taking coffee with just a little oat milk.

QueenMabby · 09/04/2025 06:52

I was 9st 12.6 on the scales this morning. Have been 9st 12.0 so a gain for me. I’ve had/got a bad cold so a bit of comfort eating combined with a heavier weekend will have caused that.

I did go to the gym last night. Still a bit ill so just took it easy but better than doing nothing!

LBB2020 · 09/04/2025 07:17

Not the best day for me yesterday but not terrible. Didn’t drink anywhere near enough water, snacked on nuts in the evening but did go for a long walk and do a YouTube core workout.

socks1107 · 09/04/2025 07:20

I’m still on this plateu. Week 4 of the same weight.
it dips down in the week then comes back up. Very fed up. I feel bloated too so I don’t feel good anymore like I did a month ago.
I had my next goal set and likely
wont make it now but trying very hard not to just give in and eat everything in reach 😂
I am going to change when I take my progesterone and see if that helps!

TheRealHousewife · 09/04/2025 07:35

Good Morning

WOW - 9st 3lb. To be fair, in light of my laxity I was expecting a gain so sts is a bonus.

@WearyAuldWumman All that gym work 😮 Very impressive! 👍👌👏

Menu
Meal 1 - Chicken Caesar salad.
Meal 2 - Spaghetti Bolognaise with buttered cabbage ribbons.
Drinks - Tea, black coffee & water.

Good luck to everyone WOWing! We are away this week with no scales, so no WOW for me. But having a reasonably active holiday so far, over 11,000 steps a day.

Midnightstar76 · 09/04/2025 08:09

WOW - 11st 13lb hello 11’s hope to stay in this range for the foreseeable too.
Moving it today with walk with dog at lunch then a grow with Joe workout on you tube as like the music she plays or possibly yoga/pilates will see how energetic I feel after work.

Fellsbells · 09/04/2025 08:09

Good luck wowers. I’m down on yesterday, probably water weight.

Yesterday was a good day. I did C25K. 19k steps and ate within my calories, lots of fresh air, exercise and good food.

nessiesnotreal · 09/04/2025 08:22

Having a decent week so far. 2 good workouts smashed and all food on point. Not sure how the rest of the week is going to go. I have a busy week from now and not sure where I will be able to fit it any further workouts. 😕So trying my best to walk a little further and faster when walking the dogs as its all I can do. Trying not to beat myself up about it but its difficult when you have the momentum and I am worried having to miss workouts will make it harder to get back into them again when I can fit one in 🙄I had a massive mental block for months trying to get myself into a good place and now I am here I don't want to lose it.

buzzofthebumblebee · 09/04/2025 10:33

Quick check in. Sadly my WOW has seen a 1lb gain. So cross with myself as I totally sabotaged a very good week & potential decent loss by nose-diving last night into all - and I mean all - the stuff I've been so good at avoiding. Lost all sense of willpower. It was like I was possessed!! No point beating myself up though. What's done is done.

Most importantly I know why I did it - huge crash after very physical non-stop 4 days (probably didn't fuel myself well enough ?) & so will start afresh again today.

Food goal for the week: varied and tasty nutritious food to keep satisfied. Stick to calories.

Mental goal for the week: don't keep setting too high and unrealistic goals as I don't have mental or physical energy / capacity in my 50s & then just get too tired, & crash (& eat)

Well done everyone else though. Keep going!

TerroristToddler · 09/04/2025 10:40

WOW - down 0.5lb on last week, but still overall up generally from a couple of weeks ago when I got down to 128.5lbs. I don't feel I've been overeating much, but my exercise has been down a bit due to illness. Back feeling good this week though, so hoping I can get those scales to properly shift!

SW - 140lbs
CW - 129.2lbs
GW - 125lbs

I'm down 11lbs so going to keep going! Really want to feel good on my holiday which is mid-May.

After what felt like 5 years of a plateau I am down a 1 lb today. Hope this is the start of movement downwards - happy out

This has made me smile! I'm with you on the bloody plateau & I'm losing faith🙈.

Hi all,

Been off thread a few weeks as the bloody plateau has been - excuse my language- seriously pissing me off! I was all set to drop just one more pound for the one stone off - ring the bells & celebrate- by the end of March, & I STS for 3 ruddy weeks- three!!!!!! I honestly thought I'd scream.

Then thought I'd see a whoosh, but nope, just the 1lb this week. Least I've reached the stone mark, but my body is not playing ball. It's so very slow for a lot of work. That's the bummer of being 53 & menopausal.

Some days I just feel like it's all too hard. This was especially salient on Sat night when I saw a friend I've not seen since November & she's lost 4.5 stone on the weight loss jabs. She looks marvellous. I am SO tempted. I think she's lost too fast, mind you, & worry about her maintenance, but it is such a difference in her. She was your typical yo-yo dieter since I've known her 20 years, & says it's just taken away all food noise. The thing is, I do feel I don't eat that much, but still an over-weight 🤷. My 2 best friends eat way more than me & have always been slim/ never need to worry. They're sisters, so genetics play their part, but it's so frustrating.

Also listened to a great podcast by Chris & Xander Tuliken about willpower - super interesting if anyone fancies it.

Back to the grind.

Good morning WoWers.

I'm taking a short break from concentrating on weight loss and will be happy to stay at my current weight of just under 67kg for the rest of this month.

Last week we were adopted by two gorgeous little girl dogs and we will be concentrating on getting them settled in and recovered from some surgeries and treatments. They have had a rough start in life and will need all our attention for the next few weeks.

I'll be continuing with my fasting as it's second nature now and sticking with my weekly meal plans so hope to maintain in the 66 to 67kg range for now and revisit at the end of this month.
