⭐️ OPEN TO ALL ⭐️

Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! Revive & Thrive January 2025⭐️

WOW January passed in a heartbeat! Let’s keep the momentum going ladies!

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!
Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 2lbs.

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Yesterday went to plan. Stuck to food plan and did what I could exercise wise.

Managing a lot better than I thought these first few days would go.

LBB2020 · 07/02/2025 18:51

1.5lbs down for me this week, very pleased with that! Hoping I can stay on track over the weekend (I am out for lunch with a friend tomorrow)

Jenstam · 07/02/2025 21:24

Drawing a line and back on it tomorrow. I've made zero progress and feel a big blobby failure. No excuses or putting it off till Monday again. Enough! Putting this here for accountability. X

FairyBloodyMary · 07/02/2025 23:03

Keep plodding on even if you're getting nowhere! You'll get there in time.

57 miles walked so far this week. I'm tired.

Goodafternoonmillie · 08/02/2025 07:02

@Jenstam I have definitely felt the same at times in the past. You can 100% do this!!

happy weekend everyone

20 mins of yoga with adriene this morning, which I really loved. Not quite as zen with the DC trying to climb on my back. At one point they made a pillow tower on my back whilst doing cobra pose 🤣

Today:
B: Smoothie
L: Soup
keeping the day low calorie as dinner will be:
McDonalds at a DD birthday party 😅

last year I must have eaten 1 McDonald’s in total and this year I have 2 had already!!

socks1107 · 08/02/2025 09:38

So I'm down another 2.4lbs. I'm beyond thrilled!
Well done everyone else.

Today is counting calories but going to maintenance as it's Saturday 😊

Jaderz · 08/02/2025 10:36

I am back up again on scale. Am tracking and all is good so I am assuming it’s either muscle or water. I have been working out a lot with weights, I have a bit of DOMS. I don’t mind if I am higher weight due to muscle but I will need to start measuring myself see if that’s the case .

Jenstam · 08/02/2025 11:46

Thank you!!! Feeling good today. Just woke up in the right mindset and am on it. Just having a cuppa in the gym before I hit the treadmill. Meeting friends for tea and I'll be mindful when I'm choosing off the menu. Good luck everyone.

AnonymousMum37 · 08/02/2025 20:12

164.2lbs this morning 🥳

TealSloth · 09/02/2025 06:44

Morning everyone hope you all are well. I am. stuck on shifting my pounds i think am on plateau. Any tips please. Thankyou.

Goodafternoonmillie · 09/02/2025 08:20

well yesterday did not go to plan at all and my calories must have been sky high+++.
felt awful for it too, bloated and sluggish! Woke up feeling gross. Going to drink a ton of water today and reset.

45 mins dumbbell workout done ✅
for dinner I’m making a groundnut stew.

LBB2020 · 09/02/2025 09:33

I was way off plan yesterday but knew I would be as had a day out with friends (lunch, drinks etc). Back on it today so hopefully one day off plan won’t cause too much damage!

Jaderz · 09/02/2025 09:36

I also had an off track day but calories were not too far off just quality! Up on scales again but I feel fitter recently so that’s a plus

ThriveIn2025 · 09/02/2025 09:38

Hoping to join quietly on 9th Feb if that’s ok… I’m on the dry Jan thread and I feel like I need some support cutting the junk food. I’ve started filling the evening with food and it has to stop. Today’s the day 💪

socks1107 · 09/02/2025 11:06

I did go over yesterday but not quite to maintenance. Slight increase on the scales, nothing major that will likely be gone by Tuesday.

ts96 · 09/02/2025 21:32

Have tried to be gentle with myself this weekend- time of the month and absolutely knackered with it. Stuck to calories each day and have had a walk (albeit shorter than my usual) both days. Intake planned for the week ahead.

Jaderz · 10/02/2025 08:57

Still no loss, I have lost 1kg since 1st Jan 😂but I’m 1kg behind where I should be by now.

Gonna still keep going and tracking as might just be having a weird fluctuation in the 5 weeks I have lost 1.5kg then regained 0.5. This has tended to happen to me in the past it just drops off randomly.

Setting myself up for a good week of healthy behaviours. Alongside trying to lose weight and getting my fitness ip I am caring for my skin this year, putting more effort into looking after it, taking make up off every night and cleansing and moisturising instead of just falling asleep, also got other goals so I am not just focused on weight loss or it will get to me. I’ve cut down so much on alcohol and given up vaping so lots of other wins to celebrate and stay positive

getting my hair done this week too

even just little things like self care are good for you, it can make you feel good even when things are not working out the way you hoped

Goodafternoonmillie · 10/02/2025 09:45

Good Morning Everyone
Hope you had a good weekend!

I slept in this morning, so a late workout this morning - but 30 minutes dumbbells done.
B: Smoothie
L: leftover groundnut stew and rice
D: cod, peas and new potatoes

my littlest wants to make a lemon drizzle cake today so will do that for her and dig down deep find some massive willpower to avoid munching a load of it. After this weekend I need to focus on eating healthy foods that will get me to my goals.

@Jaderz huge well done for giving up vaping and for focusing on self care too.

StealthyBMI · 10/02/2025 13:46

Happy Monday all!
We were away for the weekend (and had dinner at a friend's on Friday) so I ended up eating 2 x dinners based on cheesy carbs, and as usual failing to stick to my promise that I wasn't going to drink more than a glass or two of wine over the weekend. I did resist the croissants on Sunday morning though. Scales have jumped up again today.... but now my calendar is clear for a few weeks and I am focused - 3 weeks until my birthday and I am determined to be under 80kg by then. Weighed in today at 82.6kg which is 1.3kg higher than Saturday morning!! Socialising really makes dieting hard work and it's infuriating that a couple of days of eating largely the same as everyone else causes that immediate weight gain. Fingers crossed it's largely water weight from the alcohol...
I'm now trying to add in some gym workouts to my exercise, hitting the gym later today.

Goodafternoonmillie · 11/02/2025 07:59

Morning All,
another day slept through my alarm! And I was asleep by 9.30 last night which is early for me. Not feeling myself this week, not sure what’s going on really. I will have to try and workout this evening after work even if it’s something small. I think I will have gained this week, slightly scared to WOW tomorrow..

but hey ho, progress not perfection as they say.

B: Smoothie
L: Stew
D: Pasta

Ethiopianflower · 11/02/2025 09:35

Lost 2.5lbs this week - I’m delighted with that. I get a lot of walking in and drink so many fluids. Heading for a weekend away with the girls at the end of the month which is giving me great motivation. And then heading away for a night with my siblings at the end of March which will be my next motivator.

Jaderz · 11/02/2025 10:33

Still no loss BUT I wasn’t really focused on it today

I have IBS so I had to take a laxative last night as I am so badly constipated I assume this is causing me to hold onto weight and water and felt dreadful (barely been for over a week), feeling awful. Well I feel better today if nothing else! I may not be drinking enough water so will try to adjust that.

NessaSmith · 11/02/2025 11:21

Morning everyone!

Lost 1lb this week (I weigh in on Sundays) which I'm happy with. I always aim for 1 and anything more is a bonus, that's still over 4 stone in a year.

Went for a (very little, 10 mins!) swim this morning. Really want to push myself to go often and build up my fitness, the only barrier is I hate all the palaver of hair washing etc after and it puts me off going. To get into the slow lane you have to go under the barrier things- so no avoiding getting hair wet at all.

AnonymousMum37 · 11/02/2025 13:37

Feeling a bit low as I've lost nothing this past week, not even sure how as I'm way under calories! I think my iron tablets are making me constipated.

I have ran 5k and done pilates today so feeling good about exercise anyway.

beezlebubnicky · 11/02/2025 13:41

I'm back. After falling off the wagon in the depression, cold and darkness of January, I'm back on the horse. Spent weeks eating crap but I only put back on the weight I lost at least! Have a holiday end of April and want to feel at least semi-bikini ready.

Done 2 days of healthy eating now. Trying to add in some exercise daily - had a lunchtime walk yesterday, and today did a YouTube exercise vid for 20 mins. I'll gradually build up from there as my hypermobility and osteogenesis imperfecta means I'm really prone to injuring myself, and that impacts weight loss.

SW: 11st 3lb
CW: 10st 12lb
GW: 9st

B: Rice cakes with chickpea 'tuna', cucumber, Babybels
L: Spicy beans on toast
D: Amatriciana pasta with added peppers for health
S: Berries, plain Greek yoghurt. Rice cakes.
