Weigh In: 10st 4
Dress size 12

Looking to shift a stone in 6 weeks; feel free to join me or peruse from afar.

Nothing more than moving more, eating less and cutting back on booze...

Can I join you all? I know I'm incredibly late to the party but I've just started FAST800 on Monday. I'm the heaviest I've ever been (even when pregnant) at 12st 5 and am 5ft 4. Feeling very matronly and frumpy and I'm tired and achy and menopausal which definitely doesn't help!
I'd like to be back with my healthy BMI in 8 weeks but ultimately would like to get back down to 9st 7.
Have read the whole thread and am really inspired ☺️

Welcome!

Yes I put on a dress last month and the image in my head to how I looked, and the reality, were sadly very different!! I looked like a Matron from one of those old films! I’m also aiming for 9st 7lbs at 5ft 3, but presently stuck at 11st 4 this week. 😕

MagsMagnolia · 04/02/2025 21:33

@RestingLettice I'm a stone away from where you are!! Can't wait to see an 11 on the scales again (never imagined I'd be saying that) 🫣

Welcome! I'm on Fast 800 Keto and generally find it really effective although I find when I deviate from it my body takes a while to start losing again which is really annoying

Really hungry tonight and just checked my food log for today and not had enough protein so that won't be helping!

MagsMagnolia · 04/02/2025 23:17

@HorrorFan81 it's you who I spotted on the thread! Didn't choose the keto option but have paid for the app. It's 9 weeks until my sisters wedding so I'm hoping to see a good difference by then🤞
I'm a shift worker so sometimes struggle with timing meals and fasts around changing shift times but hoping that the 9 week deadline really makes me commit. Have an Apple Watch so also tracking daily activity and exercise ☺️

If you stick to it you definitely will. I found the first few days quite hard but then your body adapts and it gets alot easier. I advise lots of water (fizzy or still) and lots of herbal tea in the non eating windows it really helps. Good luck!

Morning everyone

sorry I missed Friday weigh in, had to go to see the in laws which involves a 6 hour drive each way so bad for steps and then in laws like big meals and snacks.

We have been listening to lots of podcasts recently and DH decided he wants to get more into fasting for some of the other health benefits. So we did a 45 hour fast from Saturday night and then are going to try and do two meals a day something like the 18:6

It does seem to be working as I was 10st 13.7 on Thursday last week (a blip I think as I had been 10st 11 the rest of those week) and today I’m 10 st 8.5. I know there will be water weight in that but wow.

I have also been trying to keep my steps up most days apart from when travelling but still getting 10k minimum.

I normally have lots of plateaus and then Bob up and down slowly so I understand how frustrating it can be. There seems to be quite about stress effecting weight loss and I would imagine that there will be a lot of stress for most of us which won’t help.

@Scarecrow2016 i am sorry. I think I would have avoided the meal out if I was only eating soup. The soup probably was saltier than you realised. But it’s your birthday so I don’t think some cake and wine is bad.

HorrorFan81 · 05/02/2025 10:05

Just done a cheeky mid week weigh in and the scales have started moving again! 1lb off which takes me to 149.8lbs, the first time I've been in the 140s since 2019 🥳
3 more lbs and I will have officially lost 3 stone since my starting weight in Jan 2024

Littlemissweepy · 05/02/2025 11:52

Oh good milestone! @HorrorFan81

RestingLettice · 05/02/2025 12:01

@HorrorFan81 wow you’ve done really well!

RestingLettice · 05/02/2025 12:05

Off for a walk this afternoon to get in those steps. Also got some exercises to do from my physio that includes dumbbell weights so hoping to look like Popeye by next week! If I don’t lose anything this week I’ll be sad. Was going to do a cheeky mid week weigh in too but I’m worried if I haven’t lost anything I’ll just get demotivated. I am looking less tubby I think though, even if I’ve plateaued this week.

How you feel / look is more important than the scale - are you measuring? Often you can lose inches but not lbs

No I haven’t been doing that. Will have a go the next few weeks, good idea.

Highly recommend photos too - i didn't take any early on but really wish I had, it's so inspiring seeing your efforts paying off

Fibrous · 05/02/2025 16:08

I've been following the weight loss injection threads as a bit of a control group, and it's interesting to see how even they plateau for a bit or don't seem to lose much and then there's a bit of a jump. I think we have so much water in us, and with our ever cycling hormones, weight is such an unreliable method of tracking what's going on. I try to limit the effect it has on me and just keep ploughing on, knowing if I'm eating well and exercising lots I have to trust the process.

Yeah I think you're right. It's so hard though when you're working your butt off and you know you're in a good deficit and those bloody scales won't move 😅

Littlemissweepy · 05/02/2025 18:55

Down to my pre blowout weekend weight today, phew. I actually have another dinner/drinks night out on Friday - Thai - so bang goes any deficit that day. Another reason I am making Friday morning my weigh in point - gaming the system I know but can’t bear another disappointing Monday with the scales.

Will end today on 400+cal under my MFP target cals largely because I earned over 600 cal in exercise.

Also exceeded my protein goal but I am still having to be really conscious about loading up on protein to do so including supplementing breakfast and smoothies with protein powder.

Hang on in there everyone. Especially fellow plateau’ers.

I'm totally doing this too! Weigh in Friday then having a social day on Saturday with friends which will involve lasagne and wine so not logging any weigh ins til the following Friday 😀

GrannyClanger · 05/02/2025 20:04

I’m most definitely a tactical weigher- generally only after I’ve been for a run. I seem to have lost my discipline this week - keep reaching for the snacks!! Still, it’s run day tomorrow so I’m at least hoping for a maintain.

I’ve also signed up for a half marathon so think I’ll be switching my focus a bit onto nutrition and how to fuel my body better. It might be a nice distraction from calorie counting!

On about 1500 today so just have to try not to eat anything else this evening.

nodtik · 06/02/2025 06:04

Good morning everyone, sorry I have been absent since my weigh in on Monday.

Work has been like a car crash for me and this has meant very little time fir much else.

Sounds like some really positive things have been going on!

Anyway I made it to the gym on Monday and Wednesday. Did an hour on my walking pad on Tuesday.

Food wise has been around 1400 calories, so in a deficit.

@HorrorFan81 3 stone weight loss is awesome!

As for how you look and how clothes look is a thing.

Wore a dress yesterday which normally would not do up around my tummy and pull, but it was fine and fitted without gaping. Those hours in the gym are having an impact!

Littlemissweepy · 06/02/2025 07:53

Just read back in the thread a bit. Don’t give up @Scarecrow2016. I think eating with the family is a really good thing. I always do that too. I remember my mum when I was growing up eating different things or not eating with us when she was “on a diet” and there was always a subtle atmosphere around it.

I end up choosing healthy things for us all - or sometimes DP and I have something different to the kids - example he and I are having fish curry tonight and I’m doing the kids breaded chicken and wedges - because they won’t like fish curry. Breakfast and lunch are where I am more disciplined and do my own thing.

Scarecrow2016 · 06/02/2025 09:30

@HorrorFan81 Well done!!

I feel happier now. I'm counting calories for all meals/snacks apart from Dinner and this has taken the pressure off, making it a much more realistic shift (for me). I'm still slowly loosing weight but it feels more sustainable in the long term, and I feel like I'm forming better eating habits. Thanks for the encouragement.
Starting weight 3 Jan: 10st 5lbs 0oz Today: 9st 12lbs 8oz

Amazing work! I think whatever makes it sustainable is key

I'm managing ok with the Fast 800 Keto at the moment but know I need to plan a transition out at some point

Another mid week weigh in and another 1lb down, looks like my body is back to losing again. 41lbs altogether since last Jan. Be good to get to that 3 stone mark in tomorrow's official weigh in!

nodtik · 06/02/2025 18:48

Good luck @HorrorFan81 for your weigh in tomorrow!
