Looking to shift a stone in 6 weeks; feel free to join me or peruse from afar.

Nothing more than moving more, eating less and cutting back on booze...

Good luck @HorrorFan81.

Kind of shocking how one (not even that bad) weekend of not being strict takes a week of slog to reverse. I will be you next week. Birthday waffle breakfast, restaurant meal and drinks planned for tomorrow night which is also the end of Dry January 🤷🏻‍♀️. Sunday will be a cooked breakfast too. Will not go deliberately mad but won’t be counting calories and will eat and drink what I fancy (and pay the price later!)

Yes it's so annoying! Literally been eating 800 cals again from Monday, In ketosis, with time restricted eating and have zero loss this week due to some drinks and pudding at the weekend.

Having said that, when I've done this WOE before I do think I had a plateau on week 3 so that could be coming into play too

Hopefully next week will be a good one 🙏

Theemperorsnewshoes · 31/01/2025 12:56

I appear to be stuck on 128.5.

nodtik · 31/01/2025 20:32

@HorrorFan81

Don't lose heart ❤️

I don't seem to think I will have lost much this week.

But I have tried .....

Today;

1428 calories
10246 steps
45 mins at the gym
50 mins on the treadmill, needed after an extremely sedentary day at work, came home with a step count of only 2200 😨

We have to keep our spirits up! Xx

nodtik · 31/01/2025 20:33

@Theemperorsnewshoes

Keep going, remember the closer you get to goal, the hardest it is!

Ethiopianflower · 02/02/2025 08:40

I’ve just done a sneaky mid week weigh and I have lost 2lbs. I am over the moon. Probably go up again on my weigh day but I’m taking this loss and it’s seriously giving me motivation.

nodtik · 02/02/2025 20:12

Weigh day for me tomorrow;

Finishing the week on 1600 calories, not ideal, it was the wine!

17,807 steps today!

Hoping to see some loss tomorrow xx

Great work! I'd bank the 2lbs and ignore any upward fluctuations 😀

Ethiopianflower · 02/02/2025 22:11

@HorrorFan81
thanks for that - I might not even weigh myself on my weigh day now🤣 and keep myself in my happy bubble instead

nodtik · 03/02/2025 06:07

@Ethiopianflower

Sounds like a plan, it's so easy to get demotivated!

You have lost 2lbs!! Congratulations 🙌

nodtik · 03/02/2025 06:10

Weigh in today, not as much as I would have liked, but I was over calories yesterday, so a fair reflection I guess.

Lost 1lbs......

SW - 12st 0lbs
CW - 11st 9lbs
TL - 5lbs since 13th Jan

Slowly but surely......

Littlemissweepy · 03/02/2025 07:21

Weigh in day for me. Saturday and Sunday I didn’t track, and just ate and drank what I liked because of a birthday.

SW: 10st 8.8lbs
Last week: 10st 5.7lbs
Today: 10st 6.5lbs

So yup, bit of damage done, gained just shy of a lb. This week will be back on the tracking, mindful eating and exercise in a bid to reverse and actually log a loss next week.

Fibrous · 03/02/2025 11:51

Weigh day for me at the gym today, too.

7/12 - 66.5 kg - 35.4% body fat - 26.3 kg fat - 43 kg lean - BMI 27.7
18/12 - 66.2 kg - 35.8% body fat - 23.7 kg fat - 42.5 kg lean - BMI 27.6
23/12 - 65.0 kg - 34.4% body fat - 22.4 kg fat - 42.6 kg lean - BMI 27.1
15/01 - 63.1 kg - 31.4% body fat - 19.9 kg fat - 43.2 kg lean - BMI 26.3
20/01 - 62.5 kg - 32.0% body fat - 20 kg fat - 42.5 kg lean - BMI 26
27/01 - 61.4 kg - 31.2% body fat - 19.2 kg fat - 42.3 kg lean - BMI 25.6
3/2 - 61.0 kg - 31.5% body fat - 19.2 kg fat - 41.8 kg lean - BMI 25.4

I had a different bra on today and the scanner seems to be very sensitive to those kind of things (this one was less supportive so saggier boobs) so think my lean to fat ratio change may be due to that, as I've lost cms in my measurements again. Anyway, half a kilo down and inching towards the 'normal' weight category.

Weather is better today so it's making me hopeful for getting my legs out this year. I've barely worn shorts for the last couple of years as I carry so much fat on my legs, which due to being short, were never that great to begin with. Maybe this year I'll 'just wear the shorts'.

I’ve plateaued at 11st 4lbs this week. 😢

I did less steps but did stick to my 1200 calories so feeling a bit disappointed. Will try and get moving a bit more this week and may do a mid week weigh in just to see if it’s a bad day today (hoping so!). I have had this before when dieting so trying to stay motivated! Well done to all those that have lost weight this week

I've plateaued too.

In fact I have put on 1lb even though I've religiously stuck to Fast 800 Keto for the past week. V annoyed

DuckWithOneWing · 03/02/2025 20:26

I'm not weighing today. I conquered my fear of the dentist, so I had a celebratory wine and McDonald's.

Today I did a new gym class. It included highlights such as a 2.5 minute wall sit, and lots of Burpees. Hated every minute of it, can't wait to go back next week.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone! @HorrorFan81 I don't just feel like a new person, I am a new person! I do so much more now. I used to just stay at home a lot of the time and now I'm always up and about.

NahThen · 03/02/2025 20:28

I'm stuck as well. Looked this morning and I've bounced back up half a pound so I'm almost back to where I started!
I think the calories MFP has set me are too high to be honest, I'm sure they were lower before. I actually double checked to see if I'd set my activity level higher or something but it all looks right. May need to do some online calculators and tweak!

Ethiopianflower · 03/02/2025 20:45

Hopping on the scales can be a killer for motivation. Water weight can really skew them. Time of the month too etc. I weighed myself one day and I had put on a pound and a half. 3 days later I was down 4lbs. I try to not let them create noise in my head - but easier said than done. If you’re sticking to your plan and getting your exercise you will DEFINITELY lose weight. The scales are not the only indicator - how your clothes fit and measurements are good. We have this ladies, just stick to the plan as much as you can and the weight will drop.

Littlemissweepy · 04/02/2025 07:16

I’m going to swap my weigh in day to Fridays. Looking at patterns my Monday weight is usually haywire.

Ethiopianflower · 04/02/2025 07:46

3.5 lbs down this week after having gained last week. Ridiculous how much scale goes up and down like a yo-yo. But it’s given me great motivation.

SW: 12st
CW: 11.1st
GW: 10.5st

HorrorFan81 · 04/02/2025 12:53

I lost the 1lb I'd put on, so I am back down at 151 which is where I was on Jan 24th. So annoying! Will keep going tho. Determined to get back in 140s soon

Scarecrow2016 · 04/02/2025 12:55

My motivation has hit an all time low. I went out for a birthday meal and ate soup (lowest cal on the menu at 417) whilst everyone else had starter and main - and to add insult to injury I paid for everyones meal. And the scales did the dirty on me. So after 5 weeks of a miserable diet I've ditched the porridge for dinner and I'm back eating with the family and had birthday cake plus wine. Ironically I lost a couple of ounces in the process but overall I too have plateaued this week.

GrannyClanger · 04/02/2025 15:53

I’ve seen loads of fluctuations too - but overall I think I’m losing about half a pound a week. So it feels very slow!

But at least it’s sustainable and going in the right direction, if only a tiny bit at a time.

It is so hard to keep motivated, especially this time of year too. I’m going to keep on trying to be consistent with my exercise and if I have wobble, that’s ok!

RestingLettice · 04/02/2025 16:07

Same here! I’m sticking to my calories of 1200 so hopefully over time it’ll go down even if I plateaued this week. From tomorrow I’ll try and get out more too. Been busy over the last two days so not had a chance to prioritise my steps and exercise much
