Weigh In: 10st 4

Looking to shift a stone in 6 weeks; feel free to join me or peruse from afar.

Nothing more than moving more, eating less and cutting back on booze...

SW: 12st 0lbs
LW: 11st 9lbs (last week/weigh)
CW: 11st 5lbs

I’m down 4 lbs this week which is a surprise. I have been out walking a lot and kept under my 1200 calories but that’s still a bit of a surprise. However I think again it’s just because I’m in the first couple of weeks of weight loss. Had it before like that and then I usually plateau. I feel I’ve lost a lot of bloating too which is probably diet related as well.

chalkyc2 · 27/01/2025 08:29

Down just 1kg this week which feels tough as I've been pretty disciplined!

Tried on the snowboard trousers and they're better than they were 2 weeks ago so that's good. 3 weeks until trip!

nodtik · 27/01/2025 08:33

@Scarecrow2016

I can only dream of seeing a 9 on the scales again, well done you!

As for you @RestingLettice another 4lbs - you must be over the moon 🌙

Phenomenal stuff all round xx

Scarecrow2016 · 27/01/2025 08:41

@RestingLettice
If SW is starting weight what is LW & CW?

Littlemissweepy · 27/01/2025 08:42

Hmm I’m a bit grumpy with my scales this morning:

SW: 10st 8.8lbs
Last Monday: 10st 6.4lbs
Today: 10st 5.7lbs

Less than a 1lb! Annoying as I weigh daily and yesterday was 10st 3.5lbs and I ate maintenance cals yesterday and did 1 hour of yoga. Oh well. Natural fluctuations I suppose.

Just did an 8km run so starting this week as I mean to go on.

Well done everyone!

I put LW down as last weigh in/last week. CW is current weight. Sorry it’s probably not very clear, edited to include LW meaning 😃

Well done! It’s probably just a little bit of water retention this morning if you were down to 10.3.5 yesterday. Daily fluctuations due to water/fluid can make a big difference in a day

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! I was out for dinner on Friday but managed to keep on plan, the restaurant chain Pho has some great low carb high protein options
Yesterday was a long boozy day in London so definitely off plan! Food wasn't too bad (bunless burger with a few curly fries, some tapas later - mostly meat and veg) but the cocktails, gin and wine definitely took me over 🤣 Did do 22000 steps though
Birthday celebrations continue today, heading out for Sunday lunch later and might even have a dessert, in lieu of cake (told my husband not to bother getting me one)

Back on Fast 800 Keto tomorrow 💪

Who wants to guess how much the scales shot up this morning??

Reminder: been doing Fast 800 Keto for 2 weeks. Came off for 2 days- cocktails and wine on Saturday. Sunday i had a roast beef lunch (including potatoes and Yorkshire pudding). Had popcorn in the afternoon and sticky toffee pudding and ice cream later 😋

Hello all
Started a few days into January, at 8:12.
Currently 8:8.
Goal 7:6 (I’m 5ft tall).
Need to have larger meals so I don’t snack, and stop counting half a packet of biscuits as a meal!

Hope everyone is doing well.

ACuppaAlwaysHelps · 27/01/2025 16:35

I've been lurking a bit on this thread.

@orangegato Well done! Can I ask what your strategy is? I have similar stats but really struggling to lose! (It's hard being short.)

orangegato · 27/01/2025 16:45

@ACuppaAlwaysHelps thanks!

I got off to a ropey start but I calorie count, about 1,200 net (if I do 300 cals exercise I can have 1,500 etc).

I try to eat protein with every meal and trying to limit snacks and just have larger meals. I’ve fallen into the trap of having 2-300 calorie meals then eating cereal out of the box or yogurt out of the tub etc and it’s made my body used to grazing.

I used to be terrified of feeling hungry but slowly learning to power through to the next meal, not fully there yet but not as obsessed as I was with grazing.

Oh and ‘exercise snacking’. Smaller burst of exercise when I get a few mins (squats/ab exercises etc). They all add up over the day!

Scarecrow2016 · 27/01/2025 17:06

@HorrorFan81
Really hope its not too much damage. I hate the idea of slight indulgence impacting heavily.

Fibrous · 27/01/2025 17:09

Weigh day today for me too, at the gym, on the body scanner. I like the scanner as it gives me a few metrics to process (including body measurements) so there's always something to celebrate. My aim is 20% body fat although that might not be realistic, it's a while since I got that low. Trying not to lose lean tissue in the meantime. One of the posters up thread mentioned it was difficult to get high protein as they are vegetarian. I am not vegetarian but my DP is so 95% of my diet is veggie, I eat about 50g protein a day mostly through beans and pulses, and the occasional egg. I don't think a high protein diet suits everyone, I love complex carbs and a diet high in them seems to work for me.

7/12 - 66.5 kg - 35.4% body fat - 26.3 kg fat - 43 kg lean - BMI 27.7
18/12 - 66.2 kg - 35.8% body fat - 23.7 kg fat - 42.5 kg lean - BMI 27.6
23/12 - 65.0 kg - 34.4% body fat - 22.4 kg fat - 42.6 kg lean - BMI 27.1
15/01 - 63.1 kg - 31.4% body fat - 19.9 kg fat - 43.2 kg lean - BMI 26.3
20/01 - 62.5 kg - 32.0% body fat - 20 kg fat - 42.5 kg lean - BMI 26
27/01 - 61.4 kg - 31.2% body fat - 19.2 kg fat - 42.3 kg lean - BMI 25.6

4lbs! Went from 151 to 155. Ignoring it though, should be off in a few days 🤞

ACuppaAlwaysHelps · 27/01/2025 17:54

Thanks for replying @orangegato I also calorie count and eat between 1200 and 1400 every day, but I've not lost anything since Christmas!

Good attitude and glad you let yourself have fun. I also have birthday celebrations this weekend where I will indulge and trying not to let it derail me to the extent I feel being good the rest of the week is pointless!

Exactly! This is a marathon not a sprint so a few days of indulgence won't make a difference in the grand scheme of things. Straight back into F800K today and hopefully by Friday the 4lbs will be off, ideally with another 1 🙏

@HorrorFan81 ignore!!!

And get back on track - you know we have this, right?

Littlemissweepy · 27/01/2025 19:59

@Fibrous such a good set of stats. You seem to defy the trend of getting bigger and bigger as December progresses.

nodtik · 27/01/2025 20:42

@HorrorFan81

We sure do!!!

Finished the day on;

10494 steps
1441 calories
60 minutes on walking pad - 278 calories

Whoop whoop, good day!

I finished on just under 900 calories, 7200 steps

bigdecisionstomake · 28/01/2025 07:55

I had an overindulgent weekend so have dropped off the thread for a few days. Back on it today though although I haven't weighed as I think it will be a shock. I'm going to give it a couple of days and hope I can mitigate the damage in the meantime.

Good to see you here @NahThen 🙂

@nodtik and @HorrorFan81 it sounds like you are both smashing it! I just need to pick up some of that motivation now 🤗

Ethiopianflower · 28/01/2025 08:20

Stayed at same weight this week. Little bit disappointed as I have been in calorie deficit every day and getting my steps in, but understand this happens and not getting obsessed with the scales. That said, I have put the scales on the naughty step in the hope that they Won’t do that again 🤣

It's so annoying but just keep going and the scales will start moving again 💪
