Hello Members, both Original and New!

Following on from 🍁LOSE IT September 2024🍁

Where did September go!

Now October is upon us, it’s time to start the 12 Week Countdown to Christmas 🎄🎄🎄

If you’re a returner or a new starter feel free to jump right in to reset & refresh to become a healthier version of yourself. These threads are for those who’d like to lose and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.
As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.
We generally have a WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).
I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost nearly 4 stones. After having been on the wrong side of 12st I am currently idling around 9st. Aiming to reach my goal of 8st 12lb.

Are you in?😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Feel free to share your own links, tips & recipes.

Am avoiding the school holiday weigh in! Will weigh next week once we're into the November thread and the two roast and pizza express weekend is a distant memory...

Have kept up the movement, and food has been sensible since yesterday. Salmon tonight.

I’m back (again). Another unsuccessful month. Currently at 10st 8 after getting to 10st 4 at the start of the summer. My GW is 10st, but if I can get back to 10st 4 consistently by Christmas I’ll be pleased.

Back to the calorie counting today and ready to sign up for November.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 30/10/2024 16:49

oh, today’s menu:

B - baked oats with berries, Greek yoghurt, chia seeds and flax seeds
L - lentil & bacon soup (home made), portion of chicken, apple, packet of quavers
S - mini snickers 🙄
D - pork ragu with pasta

not much on the exercise, I have a couple of aches and pains that I want to heal, but did some stretching and hip strengthening exercises this morning to help. Going to focus on that for two weeks and then will hopefully be able to get back to strength work.

Evening all. I stayed the same this week, which was disappointing, but better than a gain. Hi to the newcomers. What does a day of eating look like for you @Margauxdes on keto?

So many of you doing great! Hi 😊 I'd like to join too. After switching from teaching to a sedentary job 3 years ago and some injuries meaning I can't do intense exercise or very long walks, I've piled on 3 stone.

I'm on day 2 of healthier eating, have tried several times but I always give up and binge. Emotional and boredom eater especially when stressed at work! I'm scared of getting diabetes which runs in my family so really trying to make a change.

SW: 11st 2lb
GW: 9st

Although I'd be happy at this point if I could just lose a stone. I'm size 14 and on the cusp of a 16, not too wide elsewhere but an apple shape so I have a huge belly for my size.

I'm on 1300 calories daily, 300 below my TDEE and using Nutracheck to track my food. Will weigh in Sunday and see how things are looking.

Well done everyone. Welcome to the newcomers. I forgot to weight today, so will tomorrow. October has gone so quickly. I’ve not done as much exercise (any) due to a virus and half term.

B- vegetable tagine.
L- chicken curry and rice.
D- roast pork with vegetables.
snacks- greek yoghurt, snickers, two biscuits.

apart from the snickers it’s been a good day.

beezlebubnicky · 31/10/2024 09:00

@Fellsbells That sounds yum! Yesterday I had:

B - porridge with chia seeds, banana
L - homemade leek and potato soup
D - mushroom edamame rice bowl with tuna, topped with a fried egg and spicy chilli oil
S - 1 mini chomp, 1 pack sour cream & chive lentil curls, 1 pack pomegranate

Stuck within calories and lots of water.

Fellsbells · 31/10/2024 09:09

Weight is the same as last week. That’s good actually considering I haven’t felt hungry or deprived. Just need a small deficit to push me over the finish line then get back to maintain my goal weight.

My body wants to sit about 5lbs above my I want it to.

Margauxdes · 31/10/2024 13:27

@ChickenChipsandBeans black coffee for breakfast, salad with chicken, eggs or fish for lunch ( usually lettuce, tomatoes, avocado) and for dinner green veg like spinach or courgettes with meat. I snack on cheese and nuts
