Wow = no change!
I'm really happy with that considering I spent 4 days eating the best processed carbs the UK has to offer, mountains of cheese and Cadbury's.
This month I have been fighting a losing battle with a hotel stay for work, a big birthday in the house so lots of cakes and treats, and then out trip to the UK for half term. Very pleased to have only put on half a kilo in October. I'm 0.6kg lighter than my high this month (only a few days ago) and 0.9kg heavier than my lowest.
November will be easier. No birthdays. No weekends away. Have 2 nice days out planned which might mean a lunch or dinner out but I will be sensible and plan properly so that we don't end up scarfing down crappy food or having 2 meals out when a bit of planning could have helped it just be one. (Going to see a matinee musical in the big smoke with one DC and then Cirque de Soleil for the first time in another big smoke with both DC).
I have managed to keep up my almost daily yoga. On track to finish a 30 day programme (YWA Home...not my favourite as found she talks a lot so sometimes it's too slow, but kept me moving). Will start another 30 day sequence on Friday for November.
Yesterday didn't quite go to plan food wise as I was home alone for a few hours so attacked my Cadbury's and Stilton stash, and forgot I'd taken some home-baking out the freezer to defrost and use up (lemon slice 🍋).
Today:
-boiled egg, rye toast with butter, coffee
-fruit plate
-greek yoghurt, honey, banana
-spaghetti bolognese
Will be setting my intentions for November.
At the moment I really want to see the scales move down, so I have to make a real effort to knock all snacking on the head (except fruit/veg), drink enough water, and no eating after dinner. If I can then stick to my normal rules (no booze, no caffeine after breakfast, home-made lunches and dinners with lots of veg) then I really hope to see a difference. I don't think it's realistic for me to reach my goal by Christmas (-4.5kg) as I've been trying to get there for a year already and am only half way there, but even if I could get down to 70kg I'd be happy (-2.5kg....so -1.5kg this month would be great).
Exercise wise I'm going to keep up a daily yoga practice but try to get more steps in with an evening walk and podcast/audiobook (just sent act via Spotify premium I can listen to lots of audiobooks!).
I'm feeling pretty stressed and chaotic at the moment with all the recent problems at home and work. So I need to focus on relaxation and calm. No scrolling in front of the TV. Make lists to get things done in house/for work during non-working days. Get outside every day for some daylight. Start journalling again.
Have a good day everyone.
