2 Stone Slimmer For Summer - a thread for those with lots to lose

RedDoughnut · 01/04/2024 11:54

Here we go! This is our third 2 stones off thread.

I did really well in 2 stones off for Xmas, less good in the Easter thread.

I found having an end date in sight meant I could focus on the date rather than than the monumental amount of weight I needed to lose

End date for this thread is 15th July which will roughly tie in with school holidays. 15 weeks from today.

Welcome to anyone new who wants to join and to anyone who has been involved in either of the two previous threads.
Im not starting until tomorrow

I'd also like to ask that everyone adds one element of self care that they don't usually have time for. I'm going to start using a specific cream for my eyes. Maybe by summer that will also show a difference?

This weekend has all in all been a bit of a sh-t show, ended up having a Starb-cks coffee twice, a few chips and a marsh and mallow chocolate and raspberry bar quite disappointed in myself really.

socks1107 · 14/04/2024 20:57

I've packed lunch ready for tmrw, charging my Apple Watch so am ready to take on another good week!
Loving this motivation here thank you

Teaformetoo · 15/04/2024 07:29

Eating has been ok this last week - stayed on the low carb. Carried on using the cross trainer but not so much walking unfortunately. Downfall has been drinking the last two weekends which I’m sure will have an impact on weight loss. Will find out shortly at my weekly weigh in. Good look if you are weighing in as well today.

Waffleson · 15/04/2024 07:34

My weigh day was yesterday

Week 2
SW: 13 st 8
CW: 13 st 5
TW: 11 st 8

Yay! That's 10 per cent of my target achieved.

Hank86 · 15/04/2024 07:43

Weigh in done. A decent loss this week but mostly water weight I think after falling off the diet wagon and starting again.

SW 1st jan - 12st
CW- 11st 4lb
GW - 10st

Well done everyone!!

ItRainsItPours · 15/04/2024 07:44

So I am packing the dc off to school today after two weeks of them interfering with my diet, little tykes. We had a week away and ate out each night. That said as soon as we got home I got back on track and now weigh the same as before we went away which I am happy with. I am also 3lbs lighter than the start of the month so very happy with that.

Started 1/1/24 at 243lbs
Now 15/4/24 at 222lbs
Target 15/7/24 208lbs

TW: 150

I’ve been aiming for a 1lb loss a week, so 1.6 isn’t too bad considering that I’ve had a couple of evenings drinking and some treats. I feel like my current meal plan is pretty sustainable!

Teaformetoo · 15/04/2024 07:52

Just weighed, have lost another 1.1/2 pounds so three pounds off so far. Am happy with that - as long as the scales are going in the right direction. I always find low carbing slow and steady. Well done everyone!
SW 03/04/24 10.13 3/4
CW 15/04/24 10.10 3/4
TW 12/04/24 9.13
Just worked out I had 15 weeks of weight loss until my holiday so if I lose 1lb a week I should meet my target.
Am finding it really helpful to keep going by using this page so thank you.

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 15/04/2024 07:57

Stayed the same this week but due to start my period any day which usually causes a hit of a slow down in the week before so hopefully it's just blip

socks1107 · 15/04/2024 07:57

I lost 2lb again this week.
SW 87.6kg
CW 78.9
TW for June 75kg

SW: 16st 12

Tw for June: 14st 12

3lb of this week which feels good after 0 loss last week. Ate out last night though and did not make healthy choices 🙈 Walked every day last week and got my minimum 10,000, with most days 15-19,000. The weekends are my downfall for eating and steps though.

Emjem73 · 15/04/2024 08:50

No loss this week sadly. Spent the weekend visiting my parents and over indulged!
Back now, and back to school tomorrow so back to it!

Sending good vibes for a lucky week for everyones lifestyle change

Gummibärchen · 15/04/2024 09:20

1lb off this week; takes me to 170lb CW.

MooQuackNeigh · 15/04/2024 10:37

Well it's my second weigh in after one week and I'm 8lb down! Chuffed! I've done a lot of first weeks and that's the best one for a while. Things have definitely slowed down now though so the easy loss is over and I will cut down on the really indulgent keto eating, too much meat and cheese and cream and portions probably too big.

My graph says I'm 3 weeks ahead of schedule based on a 2lb weekly loss but based on previous experience I will only loose half or a pound a week now😓(then loose motivation and fall off the wagon) but I'm visualising my beach holiday and my swimming costumes that don't fit.

Sw - 196lb
Cw - 188
Tw 154

QuirkyBrickSwan · 15/04/2024 12:38

1kg down this week so happy with that but takes a lot to get there....

Tracking calories pretty consistently under 1400 and keeping up daily walks. Got my gym sessions in too.

SW 81kg
CW 80kg
GW 70kg

AllThePotatoesAreSinging · 15/04/2024 13:07

Checking back in after being slow to go on the Christmas/Easter threads. I have found some momentum recently.

SW - 93.6kg
CW - 87.9 kg
TW - 65 kg

I'm going on holiday in June. I’d like to be 83kg by then. The last time I felt I looked ok in clothes I’d just started a new job and was weighed at this around the same time at a hospital appointment. My swimsuit fits at this weight.

I’d like it even better if I was 79kg but we will see.

I’ve got a long way to go until my target weight so instead I’m setting myself some smaller targets so hopefully I stay motivated when I hit them. Next mini target is 85kg.

Mrblueskys · 15/04/2024 14:45

Hi 4lbs off this week (think it's with it being the start though). Pros - exercised / no sweet food except fruit. Cons - didn't track a couple of days / went out a couple of evenings and drank wine.
Back to tracking now though.

recklessgran · 15/04/2024 16:41

Ooops late to todays party on account of a busy morning.
It's a 2lb loss for me this week so I'm very pleased. I think it's because I have banned myself from having any snacks. Either way I'm really happy with that after STS last week. My losses are ridiculously slow but at least I'm going in a downward trajectory. The key is to keep on trying and not give up!
Start weight 1st Jan 15st 1lb
Last week 14st 6lbs
Today 14st 4lbs
I'd be beyond thrilled to get to 14st 1lb by the end of the month so that's my goal.

socks1107 · 15/04/2024 19:12

Recklessgran well done, my loss is slow too. A stone since Xmas but it's in the right direction for us both!

WinterStar1 · 15/04/2024 21:05

So after a disappointing start in gaining 0.2 kg... not sure how that happened but it is what it is 🙅‍♀️. I weighed today and had a 1.5kg loss. Happy with that.

Current Loss - 1.5kg
Total loss - 1.5kg
Target loss - 13kg

LolaJ87 · 16/04/2024 11:00

I stayed the same this week. A bit disappointed as I was extra active and tracked everything properly. Still, onwards we go!

afrikat · 16/04/2024 18:25

When I weighed yesterday I was 2lb up from Friday's weigh in (bloody water weight from booze) but today it's off again. So overall a 1.5lb loss since last Monday which I am happy with

Crawling back to the thread after dropping off for the Easter holidays and putting on over 3lbs. Since I came back I've been scoffing the kids' Easter eggs on the sofa and snacking during the day.

Basically I need to get back on it!

I will weigh officially on Mondays, but my current weight is 11st 3.2lbs. Not sure how accurate that is as weighed the morning after a takeaway and I think the salt in takeaways contributes to water retention - as well as putting on the lbs!

I am still a stone light that I was in January but just need to get back to being strict. And posting on here as it really does help.

Eumie · 17/04/2024 15:11

So I had a really busy and stressful day yesterday, and ended up having a takeaway and some wine. I did pick a more veggie/less creamy curry to eat though!

I’m in the frustrated phase of dieting. Where I can have a day eating super well and do loads of exercise, and the next day the scales are up. Then I can have a day off plan like yesterday and get on the scale and it’s dropped. I know it’s normal to fluctuate, it just seems to be so random!
