Following on from the February thread.

Spring is right around the corner so it’s time to embrace a fresh new month, fresh new start, fresh new habits. Jump right in to reset & refresh to become a healthier version of yourself. These threads are for those who’d like to lose and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have a WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now maintaining around 8st 12lb; although I’d like to see another half stone off 😬

Are you in?😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Feel free to share your own links, tips & recipes

LumionaMoonsplash well done for getting into the next stone bracket, always feels so psychologically good

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter weekend!

Off to cinema today with DC and will take water and some unsalted nuts (and try to stay off the kids popcorn/sweets)

B - boiled egg, rye toast, butter, coffee
S - pear
L - avocado on sour dough toast
D - sausage casserole with rice and broccoli

This weekend DH wants to make beef rendang on Sunday (a spicy beef stew with onions, tomatoes and served with rice). I have a picnic tea for Easter Monday (cheeses, salmon, olives, salad with bread and crackers).

I was too late to get hold of Lindt bunnies (they don't sell U size Easter eggs here) so will be spared a chocolate overload! Just have some minis for the kids to find in the garden Sunday.

Trying to keep up with my walking, stretching, herbal tea in the evenings.

Feeling frustrated with a 1.25lb gain this week. Perhaps was a little less focused on weighing stuff and feeling a bit complacent. Annoyed with my self as I loose so slowly that will probably take three weeks to come off. Might try intermittent fasting for a bit.

18:6
L: avocado salad with some edamame beans for protein, apple.
D: grilled salmon fillet with green lentils and tender stem broccoli.
Exercise will be an hour long dog walk plus standing all night and most probably dancing at a gig.

Thanks, I have OTC sleeping tablets. Going to sleep normally is fine but I'm waking anywhere between 1am and 5am and struggling to get back to sleep. I don't know if it's hormonal or what?

LumionaMoonsplash · 29/03/2024 08:58

I've just checked my Google fit app and the last time I got down to this weight was June 2020.
I've hit my first goal of 2st down! I'm looking forward to getting below 12.7 as that's the lightest I've been in my adult life.

Very quiet on here (guessing everyone's pushed off to April thread). Happy Easter everyone!

TheRealHousewife · 03/04/2024 20:36

@PatienceOfEngels Sorry, Ive only just seen the notification for your post. Yes it does appear everyone migrated over before the end of the month.

Ive ended the month at 8st 12.5lb which I’m pleased about. Currently maintaining but would like to say goodbye to another 4 or 5 lbs.
