Following on from the February thread.

Spring is right around the corner so it’s time to embrace a fresh new month, fresh new start, fresh new habits. Jump right in to reset & refresh to become a healthier version of yourself. These threads are for those who’d like to lose and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have a WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now maintaining around 8st 12lb; although I’d like to see another half stone off 😬

Up from approx 63. So I’ve re subscribed to BetterMe which I liked, but got complacent and dropped. Logging calories works for me 👍

I've not posted in a while, I had a hospital procedure recently which interfered with the healthy eating but have been back on it for the past few days.
I've been having a think about my motivation for losing weight recently.
I had a blood test a couple of weeks ago and my Hb1aC (blood sugar) level was at the top of the normal range. I'm concerned if I dont curb my bad habits around sugary snacks it will continue to creep up into the pre diabetic range. I'm having my bloods retested in 3 months, to check my iron levels which are low atm, but I will see the blood sugar level too. My goal is to see if I can shift this down by then.

No change. But that's fine. Wasn't expecting much. Annoyingly winter is back and it is ridiculously icy again so haven't really done my C25K. bur hopefully we get from below freezing to plus soon so the ice will be gone!

My absolutely ancient MP3 player died yesterday, had it since about 2008, that thing has walked so many miles with me. And no idea if that sort of "old fashioned" player is even a thing anymore to replace it. I don't want to fill my phone with music, just that player was perfect. I'm sadly annoyed!

Did 20minutes Joe Wicks work out, I saw he is doing a throw-back to Lockdown PE with Joe live workout on Saturday, 4 years to the day he started the PE with Joe.
Then done some cleaning.

Well done to everyone weighing in today.
No change here, but probably warranted. I also now have a UTI 😫 meds are on the way, but I'm feeling miserable, can't be bothered to cook and am comfort eating.

I'm going to allow myself a few days "off" while the drugs kick in, and then get back on it.

Good day today. WOW was 10st 7, so pretty much the same as last week despite my weekend away.

B - slice toast, cheese, yoghurt, raspberries, chia seeds and flax seeds

L - lentil & bacon home made soup, 2 falafels, humous, satsuma

D - salmon, rice, mixed greens.

Resisted a LOT of snacks in my office.

Exercise - les mills body combat class. First of those in a while so it was tough but challenging in a good way.

Likely to have a biscuit or something later, but within my calorie goals.

Tomorrow will be tough as I have a three course lunch with work! But I'm taking the car so can't drink, which will help.

L Quorn, houmous & rocket pitta Strawberries
D Sausages, cauli, green beans, mange tout, mini potatoes with gravy and a un-needed slice of bread to mop up excess gravy 😞
S Lovely (& much needed) glass of wine, crisps .

Currently watching tennis and fighting the urge to stress eat.

Sorry to hear some of us are struggling a bit, I think part of it is that 'end of winter' feeling where low mood starts to really set in.

After 10 days of no movement on the scale, my period started today and the scales dropped by 1lb. Bloody hormones and their weird weird ways.

I've gotten to the point in ny diet that I feel hungry all the time. I know if I 'suffer' for 2 weeks it will pass and all is fine. But man is it annoying 😅

Yesterday’s WOW - 9st 1lb. 3lb fluctuation on last week. That’s how I see it. It’s a natural fluctuation rather than gained fat. It’ll soon be gone 😬

Been for a walk, then it rained on me. It's all I could do to not buy a pile of something carby and a block of Kerrygold. But I didn't. Home, had a coffee and last of a box of disappointing muffin bars.

An extra pound coin, a letter written in tiny writing on tissue paper apologising for being late due to a huge number of fallen out teeth causing her to run behind and a sprinkle of glitter. Problem solved

@FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain I think I made it worse by getting the bag off her door handle and collecting the £1 while she was still waking up. She'd said " oh my fairy bag" already. I really should have just made up something like that. I feel really sad.

@FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain Oh that is so good, thank you so much. I have written a tiny note, (got cramp in my hand lol) cleaned a £1 with jewellery cleaner and put it in with a tiny set of sticky notes and wrapped in gold tissue paper I didn't even know I had, so not been seen by anybody!
Going to say I saw the bag when I went to the bathroom early not collected, then realised it still hadn't been collected when I went to get her up, so I tried to fix it, badly!

Our tooth fairy was regularly late! I'm impressed by the efforts to make up for it.

Terrible day calorie wise, the lunch ended up being long and a bit boozy, so I was very snacky last night. No Friday night wine for me!

Dont forget to keep hydrated ladies. If feeling ‘snacky’ have a large cool glass of water first! After which you might be able to avert temptation 👍

The Tooth Fairy shenanigans was a success, I acted super sheepish that I had tried to fix it.

I weighed in today, lost absolutely nothing this week. I really hate how hard this week has been on me, and still exactly the same after only 1 day being off plan.

Went for a walk to get something I forgot at the shops, then also forgot again to get some of the fancy cat food my cat will eat still.
Did end up eating 1 hot cross bun with real butter today, but only one. And everything else on plan.
Despite getting a delivery of something totally messed up and annoyed and upset at myself for thinking a company on ebay would have decent service and didn't check how bad their feedback actually is!

We did the Live PE with Joe 4 year anniversary workout this morning together. We did all of them under lockdown, we had fun revisiting it today.

Food been pretty good, a couple of mini chocolate eggs, but not bad.

B: scrambled eggs, 1 slice wholemeal, mushrooms
L: taco soup, 2 mini tortillas
D: cabbage steamed buns, broccoli, kimchi

Maintaining just under target weight but it's very difficult as I've had a bad period week, we've had a family birthday with the meal out and cake that comes with it and tommorow is a planned treat day.
Trying to increase number of steps and eat healthily because Easter is coming soon and that will inevitably lead to Easter egg indulgences.

Morning all! I've not been so great at the calorie counting since Thursday, do focussed on having a good week this week, particularly as we're away for much of next week. Not helped by having a bit of a cold. Exercise wasn't too bad last week, but could be a bit better. I'd fancied a big walk yesterday, but had a smaller one instead so it didn't wipe me out!!

Hi hope everyone is doing well ☺️

I haven't been on for a few weeks I think it is. Broke my phone had to get a new one and all that nonsense.

I have lost 3 lbs in the last two weeks. Feeling good about that. Just plodding along taking every day as one rather than the week as a whole. Some days are better than others of course.

Have started Zumba on a Monday. First one last week. I have dyspraxia so not the best at it but do find it good fun which I think is the most important part of exercise.

Going to go back the the beginning of the thread and read through how everyone is getting on.

Wishing everyone positive vibes 😊
