I'm waiting for some extra money to arrive (should be next week) so I can get started although will probably be on Mounjaro rather than Wegovy, but still finding this thread very useful and interesting as they are very similar.
I'm just wondering if there is anyone else in very specifically my shoes. I have been slim or at the very least normal BMI my whole life (I'm now 48) up until 2021, when a combination of lockdowns and perimenopause did it for me!
I am 5'8.5" and had previously never been above a size 10/12 or between 10 and 11 stone at my absolute heaviest. I'm now a size 16 and 15 stone!
It's really weird for me being overweight (actually now obese), I now have soooo much more empathy for those who have been for years and have much more understanding of how difficult it is to reverse it once it's set in.
I'm wondering if my having been a lower weight most of my life will help me in maintaining a lower weight when I come off it, but suspect I've left it too long before really doing something to handle the weight gain and lost that advantage!
