@GracePalmer33 It's remarkably easy to buy, I do wonder over time if it'll change and you'll have to see someone face to face before being approved.
Fill in the questionnaire and see, you might be asked for a photo, I used Asda for the first lot and had to send in a full body photo which was then accepted within a couple of hours and the order sent.
It was super quick, I applied late on a Sunday evening and the order arrived on the Tuesday morning.

@Lovesthebeach Yep I'm having exactly the same issues, better than constipation though because at least it's coming out!
What dose are you on?
I'm due to take my 3rd 0.5 tomorrow (which reminds me that I need to order the 1mg soon)

I’m sorry you’re having the same problem although it is reassuring I’m not alone lol!
I took my 5th dose of 0.5 on Xmas day…. My tummy is not loving me at the moment. Every time I eat it’s going straight through :-(

Lovesthebeach · 28/12/2023 08:12

@Dopaminefuelled I’ve read to drink lots and eat small portions to stop you from feeling sick. I’ve only had a few days at the beginning when I felt nauseous but it passed fairly quickly. Hopefully someone else will be along soon with some advice x

Lovesthebeach · 28/12/2023 08:15

@MuckyPlucky im sure you injected it right don’t worry x
i think everyone reacts differently to this medicine, some feel effects straight away, others don’t until they increase the doses. I definitely felt mild effects on 0.25 but moving up to 0.5 definitely worked better.
I was worried too as it’s such. A lot of money…but definitely worth it!

troppibambini6 · 28/12/2023 10:30

Morning! Just checking in. I've delayed injecting a few days as I've had a little rest over Xmas. I've gained a pound which I'm fine with. I will be injecting tonight after another family get together today.
Then onwards and upwards (or downwards I suppose!).

hellsbells99 · 28/12/2023 12:15

Hi everyone. I have also delayed this week’s jab - was supposed to take on Tuesday. I had a cold a couple of weeks ago and it has left me with a nagging cough - I do feel a bit rough and nauseous but not sure it that’s from coughing, lemsips or Wegovy! So far, I have done 4 weeks at 0.25 and 1 week of 0.5. I have lost 10lbs which I am very happy with considering my socialising and meals out during December and family get togethers over Xmas. Christmas Day, I overdid the champagne, Prosecco and food and felt very bloated but doing okay otherwise.
unfortunately we have piles of chocolates, biscuits etc that have been given us. I tried to get DH to take a load to work yesterday but he didn’t.

singlemum93 · 28/12/2023 20:53

Hi everyone been trying to order wegovy all day after reading on these boards.. gone from 12 to 16 stone in a year pretty much 🥹 and with small children finding it so difficult. Just wondering where you all order from I have requested Asda and they are yet to confirm but just wondering do
You have to order in advance from loads of sites to ensure you have supply? Do they automatically prescribe it again for you when running low? Or how does it work thanks in advance!

Weigh In Update

Age: 39
Height 5'5"
SW: 13.1stone
CW: 12st 4lbs

0.25mg
Week 1: -4lbs
Week 2: -0.5lbs
Week 3: -2lbs
Week 4: -1lb

0.5mg
Week 5: -0.5lbs
Week 6: +2.5lbs
Week 7: -4.5lbs
Week 8: -0.5lbs

This month has been a bit up of down but overall a loss of 3lb considering everything that happened (my back went and I was laid up for a week, Christmas and birthdays) so I'm content with that. I'm looking forward to getting into the next stone bracket in the new year, a dream that has felt so out of reach and almost impossible for the last 4 years (the last time I was in the 11stone bracket was 28th January 2019!). It actually feels completely in reach now which is an amazing feeling.
Hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas. I'm posting my daily(ish) weight chart to show the normal fluctuations. Don't get to disheartened if you have a shock gain, as long as the overall trend is going down, you are doing great

Shewhobecamethesun · 29/12/2023 09:39

@singlemum93 I order from Asda, usually is approved within a couple of days. You have to reorder each month but they will send you email reminders when it's time and reordering is much quicker and easier, you just put in your new current weight and select if you want the same dose or to go up to the next. I hope you manage to get it prescribed soon

Tindrum · 29/12/2023 11:51

@Shewhobecamethesun that graph is such a great way of visualising the downward trend rather than focusing on daily fluctuations, thank you.

Superlambaanana · 29/12/2023 14:50

Oooh will have to catch up with all the latest posts later on. Hope you have all had a nice Christmas. I injected 0.5mg on 15 December after having been on 0.25 for nearly two months and felt sick as a dog for quite a few days afterwards. So much so that I took a break until today as I didn't want to ruin my Christmas dinner! Today I went back to 0.25mg and plan to start injecting every 5 days instead of every 7. By my calculations taking 0.25mg every 5 days means i’ll inject an equivalent of 0.4mg per week over the next 5 weeks. Anyone better at maths might confirm if that's right for me. Also let me know if anyone else has tried this rather than counting clicks. Will let you all know how I get on!

MuckyPlucky · 29/12/2023 18:16

Ummm, so I’m a FOOL. Took my first ever 0.25 on Tuesday. Felt nothing by yesterday (Thursday) so I convinced myself it hasn’t worked, and re-injected another 0.25. Today I feel diarrhoea-ish (not terrible, just several loose stools 😳) and generally uncomfortable in the intestines. I’ve retched a bit too, and feel pretty off-colour & exhausted.

I still managed 3 weetabix for breakfast, some quiche & salad for lunch, and a big bit of Christmas cake….. so I’m thinking this was a stupid mistake..:.: no weight loss will be happening but I just feel like shit….

Anyone know if these symptoms wear off after a couple of days maybe? 🙏🏻

AhBiscuits · 29/12/2023 19:14

They will wear off soon.

There's a reason you start low and build up very slowly. It's a powerful drug and not to be taken lightly. Trust the process and don't try and rush through.

Totally. I realise now that it was my own anxious mind persuading me that the first dose had somehow gone wrong & not worked.
Ill keep going with weekly 0.25, probably next Weds as that’s halfway between Tue (first dose) and Thur (second dose).

singlemum93 · 29/12/2023 20:51

@Shewhobecamethesun thank you! I had my prescription approved so now just waiting on the delivery! Feel so positive about starting the new year now! I'm sure I'll be back chatting on here with lots of questions soon

troppibambini6 · 29/12/2023 21:05

@MuckyPlucky yes you will feel better soon. As pp said trust the process!
Also it's not going to magically make you lose weight you need to eat sensibly. Don't have 3 weetbix because that's what you used to do just have one and you may find that's enough.

NoMoreCheddar · 29/12/2023 21:25

I decided to stay on 0.25 for my second month and not jump to 0.5 as I have had lots of heartburn and bloating this week. Now I'm wishing I had gone up to 0.5 as at the end of week three I'm suddenly getting food noise back.

I ate half a full size bag of Doritos tonight! Definitely feeling more peckish. First two weeks I had some appetite on day 6 of the weekly injection, this was on day 5. Definitely wearing off a bit sooner this week for me 😕

Gingerlygreen · 30/12/2023 10:19

Welcome to the new people, hope you all get great results.

I've just checked to see the damage from Christmas and have lost a pound! I'm really chuffed with that. I obviously haven't eaten anywhere near as much as I usually do but I've had a fair few chocolates and a couple of Baileys.

I'm now in the 14 stone bracket and it's so nice to see, I've been in the 15's or 16's for so long now and it was feeling like I'd never see the numbers go down.

Gingerlygreen · 30/12/2023 10:22

@NoMoreCheddar Could you take the second dose of the 0.25 earlier then use the remaining ones when you feel the hunger coming back?

It's going to have cost you more money but it's better than wasting it all together by overeating and losing no weight for a month.

I found the same with the 0.25, by the end of the week I was really hungry.

witte · 30/12/2023 10:53

I'm just about to take my first injection. Any tips on less painful areas or anything? I've watched all the videos on how to actually do it! Thank you

AhBiscuits · 30/12/2023 10:55

You'll hardly feel it, don't worry and just crack on.
I do tummy because there is A LOT of flesh to choose from 😄

Thank you. I've just done it in my tummy. Loooots of fat so I didn't feel much at all! Huge fingers crossed this works for me

EC22 · 30/12/2023 11:19

I attended a wedding of a good friend yesterday.
The wegovy meant I couldn’t eat my meal or drink very much at all. And I was still very very sick in the evening. It really spoiled my enjoyment of the whole day.

First time thinking it might not be worth it, I’m usually a very sociable person but I just felt off all day yesterday. I don’t have any other big social events in the next few months so I will continue, I’m just still feeling a bit upset about yesterday.

AhBiscuits · 30/12/2023 11:56

Sorry that the day was spoiled @EC22

I'm quite mindful now of how it effects me, hence skipping a dose over Christmas which I knew would have impacted some planned events. I take mine on a Monday because it's rare for me to drink or have any meals or nights out Monday - Thursday and I'm generally feeling ok by Friday, although appetite still suppressed so would still be having smaller amounts.

Hopefully you can find a way to make it work for you.

FiveCows · 30/12/2023 12:51

I made a big mistake yesterday and had a (very small) portion of Christmas pud with cream. I felt awful with stomach ache for about two hours.
Ten pounds down though with pretty much zero effort in 6 weeksand still only on 0.5 so I am ok with that.

Sorry to hear about the wedding @EC22 . Hope you are feeling better today. I’m leaving so much food I think the dog is putting on as much as I am losing!

Gingerlygreen · 30/12/2023 14:54

@EC22 Sorry to hear you didn't feel great yesterday, when did you have your jab?

Also what dose are you on? If you're on 0.5 or higher you could maybe drop back down.

I've put my social life on hold for a while, part of the reason I started in early November was because I hibernate over winter anyway and will now be lovely and slim for the warmer months when I'm out and about more with friends.
