A fresh new month; perfect time to re-set the mind, outline goals and affirm intentions. A fresh start to become a healthier version of yourself. These threads are for those who’d like to stay healthy, lose weight as well as those who wish to maintain; to encourage a healthy & varied diet and to exercise.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 1lb. I had a blip a couple of years ago when my thyroid went wonky but now back (mainly) on track. I Would love to wave bye to another half a stone 😬 The main thing is to never give up! Keep going!

PS - Positive thought:- If you were to lose on average of a 1lb per you could be a stone lighter by Christmas 🎄

Can I join please? I've been doing keto 800 and 16:8 for two weeks. I think I disgusted myself by eating like a BEAST for the summer, but time to reign it in. Menopause not helping one bit!!!!

I’ve just got back from donating blood. One unexpected benefit, according to the nurse, is that it will take my body 650 calories to make up a new pint!

I was surprised! But it’s the energy that your body burns to replace the blood lost that requires the 650 calories I think.

Checking back in after absence!
Wednesday weigh in. 1 kg above TW since last week.
I'm not surprised. Eating has been very disordered. Just as i think I'm getting through this breakdowniI hit a wall again.
H and I are still together but i really think we need to split for my mental health.
Just found out my surgery has been bumped up to Oct 23rd (eeek) so I'm going to make sure I concentrate on good nutrition from today to be in the best health as possible for that.

How is everyone today?

I've done my weigh-in today as well!
First month for me
SW and CW: 55.5 kg
TW: between 50-52 kg

I'm hoping to reach 54.5 kg by the end of the month but will be happy if I'm consistently weighing sub 55 kg.

Just logging my Weds weight - I’ve maintained. Not a huge surprise as have been travelling / celebrating this past week. Total loss for Sept was 2.4 lb. Think I can do better for Oct 💪

Good morning! Well done everyone for the losses.

A modest 0.4kg loss here. But for a week with two big junky takeaways / meals out, and very little exercise, I will take that. Really understanding the calories in our standard burger order is quite frankly terrifying....

Might be having a nice dinner out on Saturday, but will aim to have that as my only not home-cooked meal this week.

Disappointing for me this week, although my Eufy scales report for September shows I lost 4 pounds. I know slow and steady wins the race, but….

Up about half a pound on last week, no idea why as I’m trying hard and have started exercising, but just got to keep plodding along!

Hang in there @UtahGirl12 Sometimes the scales are just bastards, but it doesn’t mean what you’re doing isn’t working. I’d be delighted with 4lb a month!

Well, despite the (absolutely delicious) fish and chips, and the once a year seasonal treat of a small parkin cake, the good walking I did last week has left me weighing in at exactly the same as last week.

Slightly disappointing, but not unexpected really, and better than a gain. I need to knuckle down the rest of the week and next, before my birthday weekend.

Got lentil soup in the slow cooker, been for a VERY windy 3 mile walk on the prom cliffs, was hard work getting home and my hair was so salted I had to wet it to brush it out.

I have an interim goal weight of 10st 7 as 10st seems too far away right now! I’ve been bouncing around 10st 12 to 11st for the last few months so will be happy just to get off the plateau…
