⭐️Open to previous members as well as new members⭐️

Summer countdown starts here! The holidays are right around the corner so it’s time to embrace a fresh new month, fresh new start, fresh new habits. Jump right in to reset & refresh to become a healthier version of yourself. These threads are for those who’d like to lose and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st. I had a blip a couple of years ago when my thyroid went wonky but now back on track.

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Feel free to share your own links, tips & recipes!

Morning all. Weighing in at 55.6kg today! I can't believe I'm in the 55s! My goal weight was 55kg but it's now 54.5kg because that gives me even numbers across stones, pounds and kilograms. 5 is an even number in my world 😁 54.5kg is 8st 8lb or 120lb. So 55.6kg is 8st 10lb (rounded down-I'm not getting obsessed with parts of pounds) and I'm amazed I'm this weight. I don't really feel any different though. I obviously look different and my clothes are too big so I fit back in my much loved stuff but I don't feel any different. I'm not sure how I'd feel different but must have thought I would. It's weird. Maybe I thought I'd be magically different when slim 🤷🏼‍♀️ Silly I know.

Hope you all have a great weekend, the sun is out here and I'm having a lazy morning while deciding what to do.

Congrats @AutisticLegoLover!

Was126orbustandmaybebust · 30/04/2023 08:37

Well done @AutisticLegoLover
I am not weighing myslef today as DH did a barbeque yesterday and I ate so much! Off on a secret london walk now to burn iit off!

buzzofthebumblebee · 30/04/2023 08:45

Belated well done on your 1/2 stone @Puffalicious - that is fantastic!! Keep up the good work and you'll be another 1/2 stone down. Really pleased for you.

And glad everything in the Pea-camp is finally looking positive @ImALittlePea - and 2lbs down too.

I can't believe that comment @Ninjachicken - very snide. it would have given me the hump. Brush it off as a bossy busy-body, not personal. Some people just have to have their say, and because they know it all, and are right the whole time, with not an ounce of empathy. Fingers up to them and keep up your good work. Far nicer to be "overweight" and a kind person than like them.

I've purposely not been posting or coming on the thread as I've nothing positive to report !!! Still under a big shadow of work project. My DH away, so taking this Bank Holiday w'end to try and complete it. Very dull especially as for once the sun is shining. Will take pooch out for a plod but then head down.

Big wave to everyone else - have a lovely day!

Good Morning

Trigger warning the following might contain offensive material:-

Light hearted 😬 Woke up reaching for a scrubbing brush and bleach to scrub my mind after having dreamt that Matt Hancock was coming on to me 😱 He was proper smitten. What’s that all about 🤭 Don’t particularly dislike him but defo he doesn’t float my boat either.

Last weigh-in for April = 9st 7lb. Overall loss of 1lb. Better than a gain.

@AutisticLegoLover Good weigh-in 👍

Enjoy your walk @Was126orbustandmaybebust.

Hi @buzzofthebumblebee Nice to see you pop up 😬

Menu
Meal 1 - Roast chicken, roast potato, peas, carrots, carrots, cauliflower & gravy.

Goodness, that's enough to put anyone off their breakfast! Normally I can trace where dreams have come from so maybe you'd been watching or listening to something connected to him? Distressing regardless.

Final April weigh in is 55.55kg. I was 56.7kg at the start of April so I've lost very little. A measly 1.15kg or 2.5lb. There's slow and steady and then there's me this month. I must be an arthritic tortoise with no map! However, I can see a big difference now. I have a thigh gap when stood up with my feet and knees together. It's small, but it's there. My legs are much slimmer and I can really see it at the end of this month. My clothes are mostly quite big on me now. I'm selling what is too big to save for next years holidays and enjoying fitting in to old favourites I couldn't wear the last few summers. I'm the lowest weight I can remember since my early to mid 20s. I'm mid 40s now. It's my birthday in June and I've promised myself for about 20 years that I'll lose weight for my birthday and never have. I never thought I'd see the must longed for 9st 3lb and can't believe I am firmly in the 8st bracket now. It's thanks to you lovely posters that I have finally achieved this loss. I couldn't have done it without you and it's been achieved sensibly and slowly so I'm hoping it will stay lost forever. I've got that last but to go and then it's maintenance and toning for me. I'll never have a flat stomach but it can be improved.

There has been great progress on here from everyone even if the loss hasn't been achieved because it's not just the loss, it's the healthy mindset and I see a lot of healthier eating, increased exercise and self care going on along with posters being kinder to themselves. Society judges us harshly no matter what we do, weigh, look like, eat, drink, and it's nice to see this thread fights against that and supports everyone. A big thank you to you all 😊

Looking back there's a few names I've not seen for a while so I hope everyone is doing ok and will join us again if and when they want to.

Enjoy the last day of April. May is a lovely month of hopefully warmer weather and successes. Summer is coming ☀️

@Ninjachicken OMG ... Really? Really really? In the flesh. Was it before he was married?

OP posts:
TheRealHousewife · 30/04/2023 21:35

@Ninjachicken My mind must be in the gutter ... as I read your post about RS as 'coming' on her, like actually on her from his trouser snake 😮🤢😅 Rather than 'coming onto her' 😅

Flipping 'eck @Ninjachicken , definitely not being sensitive!! One to try and ignore though, sorry someone has been so crass towards you.

Well done @AutisticLegoLover lovely way to end the month!

Bug wave to @buzzofthebumblebee I agree, if I had to choose, I'd choose kindness over slimness every time. I hope your work project goes well.

@TheRealHousewife I have nothing to say but 😂😂😂😂😂

(Btw - aware May's thread is up and running - I'll be there shortly, but couldn't leave this thread without those last few comments!)
