"I Started Ozempic Last Night" THREAD THREE

1000 replies

Athena51 · 16/02/2023 08:44

Starting a new thread as we are dangerously close to finishing thread two. So great to have this supportive community to share our experiences of taking Ozempic for weightloss.

"Old-timers" and new starters all welcome!

Hi could anyone please tell me the best place to buy from right now as it seems to vary regularly? Also is there any discount codes?
Been following these threads for a while, now I'm ready to go for it too. I'm so overweight I want to hide under my bed and never leave ☹️

Aw, sorry you’re feeling so low 🙁

Being overweight isn’t a character flaw! I unfortunately don’t have a discount code as I used Mayfair who don’t seem to offer discounts but Im
sure someone will be along with one soon.

Sorry to hear you are feeling so low with it and hope you get to a better place soon but it sounds like it's not time for you to hide as you sound like you are ready to be on a mission. Doing this for myself was very empowering and I've never felt quite so motivated in the days I researched and made the initial enquiries.

It wasn't without fears and reservations but I'm so glad I did it!

I used Manual and they have honestly been great, customer service was amazing, quick and simple with fast delivery.
I have a discount link for your first pen at around £129 (£50 off)

manual.co/r/U-voYaAb0LTO

Good luck and let us know how you get on

AndSoFinally · 04/03/2023 19:07

@Twiglets1 why don't you try a half dose? 10 clicks on the 0.25mg pen is around 12.5mg. See if that's any better?

I don’t know. It makes sense but I just feel done with the side effects and like I’m one of the small percentage that can’t tolerate it at all.

ILostMyself · 04/03/2023 20:33

Does anyone know if it’s possible to get a higher dose pen with Manual if you haven’t ordered from them before? I did my first order with Mayfair but it would be a lot cheaper to get one with them, with that discount… I went all the way through to checkout but it didnt have the option to pick the dose and I couldn’t see anywhere to write a note… will just order with Mayfair again if not 🙂

msssm · 04/03/2023 21:33

@Twiglets1 @Mumonamission123 @theproblemchild you all are so lovely you made me well up. Thank you for your kind words. It really feels like I've lost me in this alien body, so a mission is right, it's time to come out fighting and find myself again!
Thank you for the discount codes. I'm off to buy my first dose.

msssm · 04/03/2023 21:37

@theproblemchild is it the men's site I want?
And the weight loss and coaching thing? I can't find a link for Ozem pic only Saxenda

msssm · 04/03/2023 22:04

It's ok I sorted it. Thought it was all going well until after I paid when I got a message asking for my gp details so they could confirm with them my height and weight before they dispatch to me ☹️ I hope it doesn't delay it a lot.

It is marketed as a man's site - but same product and best price I found so far and as you fill in the form you will find ozempic offered as you agree you are willing to inject but less so daily etc etc..

I was also thrown with the form when I saw it on a link previously but pleased I got on with it. Now down just under 8lb in just over a week so feeling more than pleased with my decision and more motivated than ever as it's cost a significant amount I can't not make it work. If that makes sense.

Phew.. it didn't delay mine. They asked for a photo or GP details and before I could act upon the request they had already approved it on the info given

msssm · 04/03/2023 22:10

Oh that's promising @theproblemchild. I popped in all my gp details but no submit button came up then I got an error message and it took me back to the main page. Maybe I'm just gonna get it too 🤞🏻

Mumsdaword1 · 04/03/2023 22:50

@WhyDoesItAlways hope it goes well for you.
yes, fizzy drinks and spicy/oily foods dont agree. High fibre supplements will help with digestion

Surely it must be possible as people seem to switch sites and don't go back to the start. I am not sure how though.

Hopefully someone will come along with the answer soon (I was going to ask the same).

Big day of sugar y'day, I couldn't really avoid it. Met a friend and we had afternoon tea but it was all tiny sugary pastries. Plus wine. I'm already on my fourth pint of water to try and flush it through a bit. Craved yoghurt and fruit for breakfast, I assume my system is still trying to fight the sugar. 🙈. Very unusual day for me food wise but she really wanted to do it so I didn't have the heart to say no.

Athena51 · 05/03/2023 08:52

@alwayssocomplicated @ILostMyself I switched suppliers and got a 1mg pen with no problem. When I was filling out my consultation form I explained my history and usage of Ozempic and was prescribed it straight away.

Oh brilliant. Which supplier was that with? I don't think I filled out a consultation form with health express from memory.

I moved from Medical Weightloss 4U to Quickmeds. Both very good but Quickmeds offered a better price and cheaper delivery.

I've been pondering this morning how different my whole body feels in relation to hunger. I've always loathed my body as I just felt it didn't 'work' properly. My hunger used to be all consuming , I wasn't binging sweet or junk foods, I just felt hungry all the time and felt physically ill when the hunger was at it worst. Hunger for me caused headaches, nausea, tummy upsets and lack of concentration. And I don't think this was sugar withdrawal as I really don't eat much of it at all. I have lived on 1400 calories for years just to maintain. And I am active and those 1400 calories were spent on healthy proteins etc.

Now the hunger is not all consuming - I feel hungry in waves only at certain times of the day and my body is just not interested in food when it's full. If this is what 'normal' hunger feels like then no wonder some people find it easier to stay at a healthy weight.

Today feels like an epiphany and I don't hate my body so much.

Just a suggestion; you’ve most probably gone from the blood sugar high of yesterday to a bit of a low this morning which has made you crave sugar (fruit is mainly sugar in terms of energy but fructose is obvs better than glucose). Source: I’m qualified in Physiology.

Try and balance out with some protein rich foods and veg and you will be back to normal in no time.

Perfectly normal to go out with your friend and enjoy your food; I hope you enjoyed your time and so did she! X

Rapunzel91 · 05/03/2023 13:23

Joining the thread please!

I did my first injection yesterday. Very mild nausea but otherwise fine. Woke up very hungry today actually! But could be partly as I had very little sleep due to snoring DP🙄 have felt hungry for lunch and actually feel hungry again now a couple hours later… Not really craving sugar like I usually do so that’s something but I definitely still have an appetite. Will be exciting to see how it continues.

I'm also feeling this must be what it is like for normal people to experience living through a day. It's bloody brilliant!

I can still enjoy the taste of my food. But before I would have had something like a poached egg and avo on a slice of toast with some salad, and be still ravenous afterwards and I'd go for something sugary.
Now I can just eat my sensible lunch. Staying within calories for the day is easy peasy.

I could miss meals if I wanted to, but that's not the point of me doing this, and isn't healthy or sustainable in the long term. I'm retraining for a time when I've reached my goal and stop the meds.

I'm so happy!

Good Afternoon, I've been hovering on your threads since late 2022 - finally took the plunge and ordered from Manual yesterday. How long is delivery usually, and what courier do they use? Thank you!
