Here’s a shiny new thread for everyone who’s been sharing their experiences on the original, and of course all new starters are welcome too!

PM'd you mine Smile

FatandNearlyFifty · 21/01/2023 10:42

Have been watching/reading both threads, thank you for inspiring me to do something about weight, I can't carry on like this anymore, today is the day to make a change.

If I could kindly request a code for Juniper it would be much appreciated. Do they ask for the code straight away or are the eligibility questions before signing up to a program?

Lavenderwoods · 21/01/2023 11:08

Hello everyone!
I started ozempic last night, I got it from manual so if you would like a code from me please let me know as it will mean I can get discount too. It's so expensive!! But I'm hoping worth it.
I have really struggled to loose weight for a while now, I'm wondering if it's under active thyroid that is the issue... and I've got a busy year this year with weddings etc so I really want to loose 2 stone.
I have been following the previous forum for a while before making a decision to go ahead as I have been feeling anxious about the side effects! However so far so good. I started last night and I have felt a little bit nauseous but not sure if it's just my anxiety. I woke up this morning and made a bagel but ate less than half of it and realised I felt quite satisfied and wasn't really interested in it anymore and since then not wanted to eat at all.
I have a hen do coming up, does anyone have any experience with drinking on ozempic?

Thanks everyone.

Peridot1 · 21/01/2023 11:38

@Lavenderwoods for me the worst side effect is constipation. I’m my own worst enemy though as I’m rubbish at drinking enough (any!) water.

Some people can’t drink at all on Ozempic but sadly I can! Kind of wish I couldn’t. I can’t really do fizzy drinks though.

You mentioned under active thyroid - are you on medication for that? Or is it just a suspicion? I wonder if you should get that sorted if possible? Although I know it’s so hard to see a doctor now.

OneAndDon3 · 21/01/2023 11:40

I've had a few drinks on Ozempic. And I've had a few utterly crushing hangovers.

Heavy drinking is definitely out, but a few glasses of wine and lots of water will most likely be ok

polopolopolopoo · 21/01/2023 11:54

@StuckInTheUpsideDown good tips, thanks 😊

polopolopolopoo · 21/01/2023 11:55

@HermioneWeasley this is what I'm hoping will work instead of having to radically change my diet.

BalloonArch · 21/01/2023 13:07

@Lavenderwoods I'm a pint drinker. On a recent night out I had 3 pints, then felt stuffed so had rum & Coke. I was absolutely fine.

I've seen that lots of people are either sick or have awful hangovers though.
I was due an injection on the Friday, but knowing I was going out I postponed it. And I'm only on 0.25. And I've had no side effects anyway.
So I'm not sure which of those things made it all ok.

missfliss · 21/01/2023 17:26

Does anyone have a code for any of the sites?

missfliss · 21/01/2023 17:26

Pressed send too soon - I forgot to add a polite 'please'

HermioneWeasley · 21/01/2023 17:30

Thanks very much @HermioneWeasley.
I have just deferred a marathon place to next year so am ready to try this - my main concern is maintaining !

Honeyyyy · 21/01/2023 19:22

Hi all. I've read both threads and ordered mine today... Nervous but excited.
After miscarriage I was diagnosed with hashimoto's and hypothyroidism and put on 7 stones in 8 months.. I stopped gaining thyroid meds but can't lose. I really hope this will help me.

Glad I found this thread!

HermioneWeasley · 21/01/2023 19:41

Welcome @missfliss and @Honeyyyy - hope this works for you

Thank you, I will have to take it easy on the hen do! I will try to make it look like I'm having a gin when I'm having a water to avoid getting picked on haha!
I haven't been diagnosed but I'm going for blood tests next week. I only wonder because of weight gain and I'm always feeling cold.
Still no side affects today so I am very pleased :)

Abeachsomewhere · 21/01/2023 21:09

Been feeling rubbish all day, very nauseous at intervals which is strange as I started Ozempic two weeks ago tomorrow and hadn’t really had many side effects until last night’s vomiting episode. Needless to say I’m going to stick to the 0.25 dose for at least one more week.

On the bright side, I have now lost a full stone and am feeling better about myself than I have in ages!

Kfjsjdbd · 21/01/2023 21:14

That’s incredible loss @Abeachsomewhere I’m so jealous. Might weigh myself tomorrow, but I know I’ll be upset if I haven’t lost weight

Happierwithouthim · 21/01/2023 21:20

Wow great weight loss, I've a stone lost since 14th Nov but I'm not following any particular diet just eating less due to appetite suppression

SwimmingFree · 21/01/2023 22:29

I received my first package tonight from Juniper and have taken my first dose. I wasn't expecting the scales!

Abeachsomewhere · 21/01/2023 22:29

Thank you so much, I am really happy although I’m aware any further loss may be much slower now. I also had five stone to lose in total and when you have more to shift it is generally easier to lose the first few pounds.

I’m sure you will have lost weight tomorrow, but remember that sometimes it doesn’t show up on the scales right away. Good luck x

Cozytoesandtoast00 · 22/01/2023 07:26

Congratulations on the weight loss everyone!
Don't forget to take measurements too (waist, stomach, etc)
On week 3 I'd not lost any weight but did lose inches!

Vix112 · 22/01/2023 07:59

Hi does anyone have a juniper referral code please? Many thanks

Peridot1 · 22/01/2023 08:07

I agree about taking measurements as @Cozytoesandtoast00 says. And also photos. I haven’t done either but should have done. I have lost almost 3 stone and gone from a size 22 to an 18 on top and 16 on the bottom. I am an apple shape and still have a big stomach. And that sometimes has me feeling I haven’t lost that much. But then I look in the mirror! Or feel my collarbone! I have lost a lot around my neck and face. And legs. I have noticed this week that my eyes look different so I think I’ve lost more in my face. I didn’t realise even my eyes were fat! Grin

OneAndDon3 · 22/01/2023 08:12

Fat eyes 😆

My boots are going on more easily too these days, so apparently I've lost weight from my feet.

I do feel what you're saying as a fellow apple shaped person.
