Here’s a shiny new thread for everyone who’s been sharing their experiences on the original, and of course all new starters are welcome too!

OP posts:
Prettybubblesintheair · 14/02/2023 13:04

Saying that I’m sat with my Usual lunch and I can’t finish it! So ignore me :)

MiniCooperLover · 14/02/2023 13:07

That's the thing isn't it, it's hopefully helping us to learn how to be full without over eating ... We still need to eat to live, just maybe not as much as before. it took me a while to figure it out psychologically 🤷‍♀️

Prettybubblesintheair · 14/02/2023 13:10

I think I have real fears of being hungry due to being hungry a lot as a child. I think I feel like I need to eat it all as I don’t know when the next time I’ll eat will be! Trying to unpick all that now.

orangelous · 14/02/2023 13:14

do we need a new thread!
I can't do the @ thing to the op

MaireadMcSweeney · 14/02/2023 13:14

I get hungry in the morning and when it's coming to lunch time but not gnawing tummy rumbling hunger, more like 'oh yes it's time to eat' feeling. I get full after smaller amounts of food then don't feel hungry again til the next meal and I'm not thinking about snacking in between. That's all I want from this, some of it still has to be willpower, it's not magic, but it's dealing with the main reasons I overeat which are massive appetite, sugar addiction and emotional eating.

Kfjsjdbd · 14/02/2023 15:40

I’ve been on Ozempic for about 5 weeks now, and have lost 8lbs (so pleased!). Had no negative side effects, except for today I had a couple of chocolate crispy cakes that the kids made yesterday, plus some of the valentines chocolate my husband bought me, and I have felt so sick all afternoon.

Definitely a learning that I shouldn’t eat chocolate while I’m on this!!

A thread can take 1000 posts we're ok for another while I'd say!

Ozempicvirgin · 14/02/2023 18:31

Hello everyone!

I’ve lurked on this thread and decided to bite the Bullet and try it. I’m not diabetic. I do low carb and 16:8 and have lost fuck all. I do like wine but don’t drink any alcohol m-Thursday. No milk or sugar in coffe and only drink water as a soft drink. Am on HRT (incl testosterone) walk the dog for a couple of miles each day plus a peloton hiit and toning class. Lost 4 stone pre pregnancy about 18 years ago in Atkinson but nothing is shifting post pregnancy. No gestational diabetes.
looking forward to top tips, best source of product and any offer codes anyone has (if that’s not too cheeky!)

Ozempicvirgin · 14/02/2023 18:32

Would also add I cook from scratch, no processed foods and no takeaways!

orangelous · 14/02/2023 18:33

lovely , yes i can give you a code if you message me or lots of others also have codes .
good luck i don't think you'll regret it

Ozempicvirgin · 14/02/2023 18:40

Thank you @orangelous . I’m sad to think I’ve got to resort to drug intervention but I’m at my wits end. Any codes gratefully received!

Oigetoffmylawn · 14/02/2023 19:06

5 weeks in and 8.5lbs down. Whoop. Very pleased.

Elephantino · 14/02/2023 19:17

Hi everyone, I'm starting on 0.25 Ozempic dose tomorrow. Hoping this helps me kick-start my weightloss and under no illusion it will do it all for me. I plan on getting my steps up to 10k gradually, I only manage about 4000 at the moment. Work in a secure environment so once I'm in there I can't leave to walk at lunchtime or during breaks. Whether I do that before work or after is undecided. Glad to have found this thread for support.

Twiglets1 · 14/02/2023 19:41

Welcome @Ozempicvirgin & @Elephantino we’re a nice supportive group so please feel free to post any questions that come up as you move forward. I will be on week 4 tomorrow so not exactly an expert myself. But I find this group really helpful.

Ozempicvirgin · 14/02/2023 20:10

@Twiglets1 thank you!

Hi, here's my code from manual manual.co/r/U-Q5gZ4aTsmW you can get your first order for £129

Prettybubblesintheair · 14/02/2023 21:33

Evening everyone well I definitely think 0.5 is working, couldn’t finish my dinner! Have been feeling a bit sick too. Very bloated but also got my period today too (happy valentines!) I started losing weight in March 2022, started at 18st 7lb and now 12st 13lb. I’ve been stuck between 12st7lb and 12st 13lb for two months, no matter how good OR bad I am I either gain or lost a few lb, can’t get any lower so I’m hoping this will help me kick this last 3 stone.

Elephantino · 14/02/2023 23:09

@Twiglets1 thank you!

Happierwithouthim · 15/02/2023 09:24

@Prettybubblesintheair that's unreal weight loss in less than a year, hopefully this will help you with the final 3 stone.

@Ozempicvirgin I felt like that in the beginning but don't anymore, if people have a sore back they don't feel bad for taking pain medication.

Prettybubblesintheair · 15/02/2023 10:35

Thank you, lots of walking, yoga and intermittent fasting! But my lifestyle has changed a bit, I’ve now got a job that makes it harder to find time to exercise. I still do the fasting when I can but I do struggle to do it at work, I struggle to focus if I’m ravenous and it’s healthcare public facing so I need my wits about me!

Did anyone watch GMB? They were discussing wegovy coming to the uk, hoping it won’t be long but no release date yet.

Twiglets1 · 15/02/2023 11:26

I’ve heard conflicting things about the Wegovy release date. Daily Mail recently reported it could be in Boots by Easter. Another source said we’re unlikely to have it even by the summer. It does comfort me though that Ozempic has the same active ingredient so I think it’s basically the same product just different branding.

Prettybubblesintheair · 15/02/2023 12:25

And it’s higher strength i believe x

Twwodoorsaway · 15/02/2023 13:10

It’s weigh day and injection day for me, and another 700g gone. So I’m 5.1kg down in 5 weeks, which is so much better than I’ve ever done before on any diet. I’m so pleased. It even feels quite easy, I do 16:8 with no issue, and often find I’m not finishing meals I would have polished off no trouble before. I’ve had my second 0.5 dose today.

Welcome to the newcomers, hope you find this as good as some of the rest of us have. I’m definitely making better food choices and cooking sensibly. This weekend might be a bit of a challenge as I am out for food on two nights (family visiting). But if it is a maintain it won’t be a surprise.

IAmBreathingIn · 15/02/2023 13:34

I just asked my usual supplier if they will still be selling Ozempic off-label once Wegovy is released here. They said as far as they know they will continue to do so. I do hope so, because I think Wegovy will be more expensive.

IAmBreathingIn · 15/02/2023 13:38

Sorry, pressed too soon - meant to say congratulations to everyone on their losses this week 👏🏻👏🏻

I'm nearly 5 weeks in and have lost 9lb of fat. To anyone quite new having a slow start, I would say persevere. I did too but now I'm starting to see results. Stick with it! ☺️
