Here’s a shiny new thread for everyone who’s been sharing their experiences on the original, and of course all new starters are welcome too!

OP posts:
FatandNearlyFifty · 27/01/2023 15:42

Just checking in, finally, after a massive migraine mid-week and mental work week, I've managed to do the 1st injection! Not sure I held it in long enough as I missed the bit it said to hold for 6 🙄

Order was approved same day, parcel arrived following day and was huge, was not expecting scales as well.

Spoke to a nurse friend earlier this week who advised no dairy as it will, erm go straight through. Has anyone noticed this and now have almond milk tea instead of dairy milk (Milk, not the choocy!)

missfliss · 27/01/2023 15:57

Has anyone else noticed that certain foods are just not as appealing?
Specifically sweet / fatty foods like chocolate and creamy type desserts?
I have felt hunger today but only for smal salty and crunchy things - felt really full after one slice of whole meal toast with peanut butter and salt earlier.

So odd

Katrinawaves · 27/01/2023 15:57

I’m ok with milk. I had porridge made with milk yesterday for breakfast and tea and coffee with milk throughout the day and no side effects at all.

Kfjsjdbd · 27/01/2023 16:21

@FatandNearlyFifty I did the same with my first injection, didn’t leave it in for any time at all. It still worked.

I’m nibbling at my daughter’s jelly tots and realised that 0.25ml isn’t cutting it any more!

polopolopolopoo · 27/01/2023 16:23

@missfliss it's so weird, I'm very able to say no to sweet things now, and even sweet fruit tastes odd. So happy as it's a goal to cut my sugar addiction.

orangelous · 27/01/2023 16:38

i haven't reported in fir a while as i am currently in Thailand on holiday.
No problem at all transporting the drug no one has asked at all.
I have been quite unwell from a gastrointestinal point of view i'll leave it to your imaginations!
i can't weigh myself as no scales but i don't feel as if i've lost anything at all.
I definitely haven't been eating as much as i usually would- feels really wasteful to be honest. But i'm not noticing any clothes getting bigger etc.
However there have been a lot of beers so maybe this is the problem.
To the holiday people it really hasn't spoiled anything so please don't worry about that. usually i'd gain weight but i'm hoping to return much the same .
good luck to everyone especially the new starters

Honeyyyy · 27/01/2023 18:33

Okay so did my first injection!
Glad I have started and I was hiding in bathroom from my husband, don't want him to know.
Definitely not as bad as I thought it would be!

Twwodoorsaway · 27/01/2023 19:56

I’m part way through week 3, and have to say although I’m less hungry I feel not as suppressed as the first two weeks. I’ve found myself nibbling this afternoon. However in other times I would still have eaten my full dinner whereas tonight I ate quite a small portion. We are out at a party tomorrow and dinner out first so it will be interesting to see how that is, I haven’t had a meal out since starting. I might go up to 0.5 next week as plenty in the vial and the following week will be that anyway. I’ve had no side effects, not even burping!

IndigoTinsel · 27/01/2023 20:19

Started today. I didnt feel a thing when the needle went in. Has me doubting I even did it?! I'm still thinking about food and I was hoping it was going to make more of an instant difference but maybe that is unfair of me to feel disappointed when its been only a few hours. This is why I have no willpower as I just want instant gratification. I've tried not to eat too much before and since injecting as don't want to experience anything nasty if it can be avoided but it has been hard.. will see what the next few days bring. Thank you all for posting your experiences as it is really comforting and helpful and thank you OP for starting this!

Yes! I am usually a sugar addict but I can literally leave it entirely. I had a bit of dark chocolate and just didn't fancy it. That's the biggest shocker for me!!

Lots of us went up to 0.5 in week 3 or 4. I found week 3 was almost like before ozempic but when I went up to 0.5 I feel the effects even more than I did when I started it. I hope this lasts a while!

For me it doesn't make much difference until the next day.

IndigoTinsel · 27/01/2023 21:35

@MaireadMcSweeney thank you, that's good to know. Will see how I feel tomorrow then!

OzzyOzworn · 27/01/2023 22:17

I’m exactly the same. Zilch now. Thinking when my 4th is due on Tues I will try 0.5 rather than 0.25:/

Mumonamission123 · 27/01/2023 22:54

Did juniper send you scales as well as the Ozempic?

Yes they did!

I'm with Manual, I paid £129

I’m only on 0.25 at the moment but I’m drinking several cups of tea a day with normal cows milk and no bad effects

weightymatters73 · 28/01/2023 07:57

HELP!!

It arrived yesterday, I'm now scared to take it 😳

Shall I just get on with it now, take it this evening, or put it off (I have a good reason to take it once a week on a Tuesday)

I'm thinking though I should take it today, and just get on with it...

OneAndDon3 · 28/01/2023 08:21

Crack on with it. Start the change today.

Honeyyyy · 28/01/2023 09:31

Day after taking .25
I was going out and had a small glasses of wine and some food and was worried about side effects but I feel fine and normal so far! Will see how the day goes

polopolopolopoo · 28/01/2023 09:39

@weightymatters73 for me I wanted time to myself to take it and a clear day ahead in case of any side effects, but in the end it was really simple to inject and no effects during the day. I did wait a couple of days after the box arrived.

polopolopolopoo · 28/01/2023 09:40

@Twiglets1 me too, no problem with milk although mine is lactose free

Abeachsomewhere · 28/01/2023 10:32

Probably a silly question - I only have one needle left in my current pen and so if I want to take 0.50 tomorrow as my fourth dose, can I set the pen to 0.50 (it is a 0.25 pen) or do I need to/can I safely inject 0.25 twice using the same needle? Hope this makes sense!
