Gensola · 01/09/2023 19:15

happier that’s a great NSV!
We are ok, DH is a bit stressed with funeral stuff and related family drama.
I had got to 136.4 but up today to 137 - period due any day and also been eating a few more carbs while walking in wales, we did a 4 day hiking trip and sandwiches were just the easiest option.

life I completely agree about work!! I’d be a supermodel if it wasn’t for bloody work!

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 02/09/2023 17:27

Gen your poor Dh and you , bless you both, l think once the funeral is all over then you will be able to relax more , fingers crossed for you both take care lovely Flowers

Happierwithouthim · 02/09/2023 18:00

175.5lbs this morning half a lb from 2.5st lost at cost of €1740.
I've appt with endocrinologist in two weeks so hopefully that'll help identify a strategy going forward.

Other than taking the injection I'm just doing my walks and eating well like always

Gensola · 06/10/2023 15:49

That’s amazing happier - well worth it, I think!!
I have lost 9 pounds at the cost of £450 in PT and gym fees. I want to lose another 10-12 pounds. I am feeling much better already.

Happierwithouthim · 06/10/2023 17:28

Gen zero regrets I spent more on PT package and did everything I was told and lost nothing so this is great.

Well done you, it's so important to feel good while doing it

im being vey unsuccessful but aiming to be healthy (albeit chubby)

Happierwithouthim · 28/10/2023 15:11

I've been put on strict diet by endocrinologist
Porridge for breakfast
Sandwich or salad plate for lunch
Dinner
Treat once a week go out for it don't bring stuff into house

Clomid for 4 days to try restart periods
Metformin in conjunction with ozempic to try combat insulin resistance/obesity
Amitriptyline 10mg for peripheral nerve pain?

Yikes I'm not a drug taker prescription or otherwise ShockConfused

Happierwithouthim · 28/10/2023 15:11

You're anything but chubby Grin

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 29/10/2023 07:48

Ha defo rotund

yikes that’s a lot of meds. And restart period boo

Happierwithouthim · 29/10/2023 08:09

I'm ten years without one, that's not normal & I didn't have bad ones.
She thinks my pituitary gland went into shock following post partum haemorrhages.

Gensola · 29/10/2023 13:59

I’m defo up for reviving it happier

those drugs sound familiar from IVF!

I am 12 pounds down since 7 Aug, with another 10 to go to my goal. Hoping to get there by Christmas or shortly after.

I have pCOS too so it’s good for my health to lower the BMI and build muscle, I am having terrible periods atm and wonder if I might be peri menopausal, I’m 38.5 but my mum went into it early.

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/10/2023 16:09

No defo not normal happier

well done gen

i did hitt step this morning. Contemplated asod, didn’t bother

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/10/2023 20:14

Spinning this morning plus £10k steps
not brilliant food wise but better

im taking the win

Gensola · 30/10/2023 21:19

Well done life!

I did a strength workout prescribed by PT this morning and met my step allocation, really want to see a loss on Friday on scales! My class bought me a donut so I ate it as they were all sitting watching me, it took me over my cals but these things happen!

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/10/2023 05:49

It’s a one off gen. Sometimes you just have to

Happierwithouthim · 31/10/2023 11:58

Gen I hope you enjoyed doughnut, a treat's allowed!!

172.5lbs this morning, 3lbs down since I started extra meds/diet one week ago. Actually only started meds on Friday so I guess it's diet and ozempic.

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 31/10/2023 12:00

I didn't get any exercise over the weekend, but did lots of sorting/clearing out/laundry etc so was on my feet a lot.

I had my one treat for the week yesterday evening got the caramelised biscuit bun from aldi, it was ferociously sweet and 408kcals.

Gensola · 31/10/2023 18:48

happier 3 pounds in a week is amazing!! Well done 👏
I am hoping to break into a new pound decade (129 or lower) on Friday at my official weigh in. I’m really short so my BMI is still 24.5 at 130 pounds, I’d like to get to 21/22 BMI.
gym tomorrow, have to go at 6am or I can’t get it in because work is so mad, getting my steps in by walking to work and then I get a lot of steps in around the campus.

Happierwithouthim · 01/11/2023 09:20

Just checked my bmi - it's 31.6, this is after losing 38lbs, it was 38.6lbs when I started.

Endocrinologist set a target of 1.5st which will bring my bmi to 28.3, that's another 18lbs away

Gen I never have big losses so I am intrigued to see what will happen with this combo of medication. I'm a lb or half lb a week kinda gal. Best of luck with getting into next decade!

Dc went trick or treating last night, they'd full shopping bags of goodies, I ate one orange creme rose and left it at that.

Missing my Wed walk this evening as have to go to a meeting Haloween Sad
