On road back from short trip north to see ailing family friend for her birthday. Feeling disgruntled as food has been heavily pastry based / pub food. Sigh.
hope you all have a lovely weekend x

Unescorted · 08/04/2023 18:32

It is so annoying when best laid plans are disrupted. I feel your pain gen I have been carefully and slowly getting DS to eat tasty food with a healthy bent. DH will only eat beige. DH was supposed to be away tonight... We had planned prawn tacos with added yum. DH has changed his plans and we are now eating lemon chicken...

Life ... I hope your cold makes a hasty exit.

Mrs 😀 take time for you. Running around after every one else is not going to put you in a good place.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 09/04/2023 17:57

Gen that's such a pita after you wanting to be on point 💐
Unescorted that lemon chicken sounds lovely though 😋
I know you are right time to slow down and watch the world go by , thank you 😊
Hope we are all having the best time
Happy Easter Everyone 😊

Gensola · 17/04/2023 22:00

Thanks mrs 😍 life and unescorted I think it was either food poisoning or Noro, I ended up vomiting and diarrhoea, only just feeling myself again today.
my appetite is very suppressed still, had two tiny meals today, wasn’t hungry at all until 3pm. I’ve lost 4.5 pounds which is a nice silver lining! Hoping to keep it off and keep going. Did an hour walk on my lunch break today with a coffee.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/04/2023 06:19

Every cloud Gen
I’m back to the gym on wed and trying to rein in my eating from yesterday

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 18/04/2023 20:10

Glad you are better Gen great that you have lost that much yay! Flowers
Hope the Antibiotics have worked life Flowers
Been out for lunch today but didn't have pud so that was a huge win!

Happierwithouthim · 19/04/2023 08:44

Best of luck with your return to the gym life
mad I always feel that's a win too!

Dd is 13 tomorrow so we're going to go out for dinner for that, not sure where yet I'll let her choose. She also has orthodontist tomorrow so hopefully won't be too sore to eat.

Gen not the nicest way to lose it but count the wins eh!

I'm plateauing currently which is annoying but I'm not gaining so I'm counting that as a win too.

I ran a little week before last, I hope to get back to running this summer or autumn so I was delighted that I managed this small bit!

Didn’t go, work got in the way
bravo on run and happy birthday happier dd

Gensola · 20/04/2023 09:06

Well done on no pud mrs
Boo to work life I know the feeling
happy birthday to DD happier

Currently 61.8kg, first goal is 59 so getting close. Clothes fitting better already as I’m so short even 2 kilos makes a big difference. My promotion interview is on Thurs next week, after that will start exercising daily.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 20/04/2023 21:56

Evening everyone Smile
Been for my annual medical check up , B/P 128/80 l am happy with that because l was a bit stressed . Bloods done for liver , kidney function, Magnesium levels ? Don't know why l am having those done but there you are , Cholesterol , HBA1C & my normal thyroid checks for my hypothyroidism .
Should have blood test results in the next few days apparently they text us the results now . Fingers crossed.
I have put on 11 lbs since my weigh in last year Hmm
Not surprised tbh God knows what l was before l managed to stop eating a couple of weeks back Hmm
Nevermind up boys and at em Grin
Gen wishing you the very best of luck for you interview next week well done on the loss and l am so glad you are feeling better Flowers
Happier hope your Dd had a wonderful birthday bless her Smile
A Plateau happens but don't forget you have done brilliantly Smile
Life work is a pita sometimes Hmm

Unescorted · 21/04/2023 21:36

Life work is a pain. I was told that I should work shorter hours but I am not sure how.

Mrs hope your medical comes back clear (ish). If it is any consolation I had put on 15kg between drs visits. Thankfully all gone now.

Happier I am on the plateau too. I think I need to reshape my gym time. I'm getting bored of my gym routine and finding food temptation harder to resist now I don't have the oh fuck momentum. Having said that I am still getting less wobbly and now have muscle definition things going on in the led, shoulders and arms. My core is so much stronger too.... Sorry I am sifting through reasons to keep going. One will stick.

Gen I think you would not hit my shoulder... 59 kg would put me at almost underweight! 4lb is a significant amount ... As you say a silver lining.

Gensola · 21/04/2023 22:19

unescorted I’m overweight BMI at 62kg! To be well within healthy I need to be 50-52. Being short sucks 😂

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/04/2023 08:08

I’m was going back to the gym tomorrow but have interview prep too , not for promotion but a rusty topic

good luck Gen and well done On starting
sounds very thorough mrs

can you get a new gym routine unescorted? Different equipment and such like?
