Agreed

lord save me from gym twats

Happierwithouthim · 26/03/2023 10:26

Monthly weigh in 13st 8, so 20lbs lost since 14th November yesterday wasn't a great food day so this possibly could've been lower as I sneaked a peek during the week & saw 13st 6 Grin

5 months of injections has cost €725 so approx €36 per lb, but I'd have lost nothing if I didn't take it and might be creeping towards 16st.

Sounds totally worth it happier

darent weigh here as eating so much shite. Will stop today

Happierwithouthim · 27/03/2023 08:37

Give the shite time to leave your system before weighing, I didn't and saw a higher weight this morning so I'm not weighing again until 27th of April or thereabouts

Hello all! We are in Berlin for a few days break. Food so far has been incredibly delicious stodgy so not really a great place to start a diet lol. My student trip went well but bless them when they took turns to cook it was basically pasta most nights so again a lot of stodge.
back on Friday and shredding for my best mate’s wedding (I am MOH and there are 190 guests so I really want to look my best!!) think I might do a plan where I get a mini reward for each 1 pound lost and a bigger reward at 6 pounds and then 14.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 29/03/2023 11:55

Good morning everyone 😊
So sad about Paul O'Grady , he was only 67 💐
It's terrible weather here absolutely tipping down ☔🌨️
Gen have a brilliant time it sounds fabulous there despite the stodge lol . What an honour to be MOH that's lovely for you 😊
Happier that was worth every penny in my book 👏
Life hope you managed to stop the food 💐
Am not doing well ATM food wise but am so much happier with life in general 😊
Food control will come 😊

Unescorted · 01/04/2023 21:50

Mrs so glad your arm is feeling better.

Happier... If it improves your health (physical and MH) it is worth every penny. I am not sure I could tolerate the sickness so we'll done sticking with it.

Gen I don't know how German people aren't the size of houses. I would have to inhale all the cakes.

Life I had a ear shite couple of weeks.... Work stress and totally losing any motivation.

I am so close to the stretch target... Just into the 70's... Very just at 70.9kg. I need to start thinking of maintaining rather than losing. I am quite scared of that.

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/04/2023 08:23

Bloody cold scuppers gym plans

bravo unescorted on being at stretch, no advice on maintaining as I didn’t seem able to do it. Do you know the theory?

Gensola · 02/04/2023 09:25

mrs so glad you’re feeling better.

unescorted that’s so incredible! Where did you start again? Sorry I should know this. Amazing achievement.
Germany was amazing food wise but I can feel I’ve gained weight, some of my clothes are straining!
Going to weigh tomorrow and use that as my new start. My first goal is 59 kg and then actual goal 52, with plans to maintain between 52-55kg. ( I am very short)
I suspect I’m around 65 right now so a good bit to shift.
DH and I are on a 10 day clean eating reset before his surgery on 11th. Day 2 today.
No booze, sugar, packaged or processed food or refined carbs so no pasta or rice but whole grain sourdough bread allowed in moderation.
Food yesterday:
B: eggs, avocado and roasted courgette
L: homemade pea soup with sardines and a slice of sourdough
Snacks: apple, sliced veg with homemade tzatziki
D: roast squash, fennel apple and sausage tray bake

today:
B: shakshuka
L: leftover squash and sausage bake
D: roast chicken with cavolo nero, baked sweet potato and roasted peppers
S: visiting MIL so will have an oat milk coffee on way and bring fruit. Must not lose temper, must not lose temper!

Unescorted · 02/04/2023 11:10

Life .. just eat a little bit more but not too much & panic if the scales tip up is going to be my approach.

Gen I started at 91.1. so just over 20kg lost since August. I am really pleased with myself. It goes to show the move more eat less approach is effective... But you have to stick at it. And not mind being sweaty and hungry for a significant time.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 02/04/2023 14:34

Thank you re Mum Gen 😊.
l am sure you will get there once you get into it , your food always sounds gorgeous ❤️
Grit teeth while you are there with MIL 🙄💐
Unescorted thank you it's still getting better 😊
You have dome extremely well, like life l found it difficult to maintain but that doesn't mean to say you will too . Give it all you got 👏👏👏
Life hope your cold is better love💐
Am ok here, busy so l am always good then 🙄
Have a lovely day everyone 😊

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/04/2023 15:56

That’s pretty much it unescorted
the r of thumb is increase by 100 cal per week and when you start to gain a little the week before was your maintenance level

cold sucks

bet that gets you off to a good start,
im currently 62.5 ish but feel much better at 59/60, meh

Unescorted · 02/04/2023 22:19

Thanks for the tips. I worry that I will give in to the sirens of crisps and baked goods. Maybe I should have a monthly crisp ration.

Something that I am pleased about is that I seem to have got portion control nailed. I am a finish everything on my plate person so I try to put the right amount on my plate.

Hope the cold goes on it's merry way before long life.

Gen hope you got away with mil visiting. If you need an alibi or patio services let us know.

Gensola · 02/04/2023 22:53

life sorry you have a cold 💐
unescorted ended up eating a scone but didn’t punch anyone or dive face first into a bottle of wine so I’m counting it as a win! That was my only deviation from plan today.
day 3 tomorrow:
B: poached egg, asparagus and a spoonful of leftover shakshuka sauce
L: chicken salad with roast beetroot, sweet potato and pepper
D: cod, chorizo and tomato stew with lime and paprika
S: banana, apple, oat milk coffee

Scared to weigh tomorrow 😅

Unescorted · 03/04/2023 06:30

That is restrained.... I am blessed with a lovely mil. My BIL is another matter. It would take more than a single scone to make it through a visit if he was in residence.

I have got into a groove with the weight loss... No breakfast, lunch on something that doesn't have bread in and then whatever supper is. I find as soon as I eat breakfast it opens a floodgate that needs elevenses, 2 lunches and a mid afternoon snack before dinner. So I think I will stick to no breakfast... My body doesn't feel hungry until 12 -1ish if I do. I might add in a wider variety at lunch or a slice of cake or maybe cheese and crackers for snackage. I have such a rock and roll lifestyle.

I am going to have a target of firming up... I still have a very tasteful belt of lard around my midrift. Operation muffin top. I am realistic enough to know it will never be operation washboard, the reward will be one of those cute 50's style swimmers with the shorts ... So I don't have to worry about bikini lines and stretch marks. There is only so far vanity will take me.

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/04/2023 07:18

Well done Gen a well earned scone

you might also find unescorted that you increase weight but it is muscle as well so don’t be too disheartened on the scales, you will feel if it’s lean tissue you are building or of you feel fluffy

defo stick to the routine you have though. In the Same if I eat too early I then eat for 5

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/04/2023 07:18

Have cancelled the next 2 gym days bastard cold, bastard anxiety

Unescorted · 03/04/2023 07:42

I hate shitty colds. But rest is the way to go.

The weather is soooo lovely today... I want to be outside. I might go out at lunchtime.

Gensola · 03/04/2023 08:37

Ok so weighed in and it’s not as bad as feared - 63kg. So 4 to lose to get to first goal!
It’s sunny here too life but baltic

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/04/2023 08:33

Stupid cold

Unescorted · 05/04/2023 16:38

You can do it Gen.... Be hard on yourself for 4 weeks and you will be there or thereabouts.

I can feel a cold on the brew too.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 07/04/2023 21:57
