I’m resolved to going wed, thur, day sun this week so missing today is ok as I went sat sun last weekend ie yesterday
i Will be walking to work and back tomorrow and mucking out so I count today as a rest day

CurlsandCurves · 06/02/2023 21:05

Well done @Happierwithouthim .

Don’t beat yourself up @lifelongfrugaleer we do what we have to do.

PT day today. Did 3x1 min planks which is unheard of for me, still can’t believe I did it. It’s only an hour a week but the progress I make each week is just amazing, worth every penny.

Unescorted · 08/02/2023 09:51

Bows down to @CurlsandCurves a single 1 min plank is impressive without the other 2.

Mucking out is a really good dynamic full body exercise with cardio added in.

The gym was back to busy yesterday so the cross trainers were all in use so I added an extra 20 min on to my row... Managed 10k. My body now hates me. My ego loves me.

The fibre is yet to kick in.... Brown rice, extra vege, water, oats, black coffee. I am going to have to resign myself to being abnormal.

Happierwithouthim · 08/02/2023 10:22

Just plan to go somewhere unescorted it'll happen then Wink

Have stuck to this SW plan rigidly and was up 5 times last night to wee 🤣

Gensola · 08/02/2023 22:30

unescorted I have found kefir every morning plus probiotics (biokult) has made a big difference to me, I don’t drink enough water in the cold.
I need a root canl on a big back tooth - dentist can’t fit me in for 2 weeks so she’s packed it and temporarily filled it. Hope it settles now she’s done that as it’s just the last thing I need with preparing for my promotion interviews. She thinks it will need a crown which is £££ 😩

well done for sticking it out mrs

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/02/2023 06:09

When is the interview Gen?
Tooth sounds painful

i had a real piggy day yesterday, feel like I’m getting cold today

Unescorted · 09/02/2023 07:55

gen that sounds soooo painful

life Fingers crossed that it heads off & avoid a full cold.

Mrs there is no way that I could be up 5 times in the night. How do you function the next day?

I have been for a run this morning...it was a little darker than I had thought it would be so had to change the route to be a bit more trail less fell. I was quite a bit quicker than I had planned for so I will be able to add a bit more distance and still get back to my desk. I am sat in a cloud of endorphins but could happily eat my own body weight in toast. It is going to be a long time to my eating window.

Happierwithouthim · 09/02/2023 09:37

Gen That sounds both painful and expensive. Dd is going to dentist today for baby tooth extractions and again next week. There are 9 to be taken out, she's almost 13 and some are submerging. Neither she or her father know that there are that many Blush She doesn't do good with pain, so I'm preparing for an anxious girl when I collect her from school.

Mrs I thought the plan was keto? Kinda glad for you it isn't it sounds like a lot of work! Your body will get used to drinking extra water. I drink 3 litres a day and only wake once for the loo at night.

Unescorted you're making me envious with your running story and the endorphins, it's on my mind too because a local couch 2 5k group started up this week and my friend wanted me to go. I've said to myself when I'm in the 12s I'll go back running, I've new Kayanos bought in anticipation, but I feel too heavy on my feet to start back yet. Did you read the thread where someone was wondering if she should exercise less or eat more due to the running hunger she's experiencing?

I tracked on mfp yesterday 1444cals. I ate breakfast lunch dinner and had a mandarin and chocolate for snacks. I was delighted with that.

I didn't see that happier. I am working on the idea that if I am hungry then I am in calorie deficit and therefore losing weight. I try not to overcomplicate things & my body has enough stored energy to survive until lunchtime.

When I was running much longer distances I would take emergency sandwiches/ cake with just in case I bonked.

You should have a whirl at the c25k .. the first week is mostly walking to get you used to the idea of moving. And it will get you closer to your ideal running weight. <Go team happier>

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/02/2023 11:39

That’s excellent happier re the food, poor dd though
I have to be mindful of food as I have no off switch

gym tonight though

Happierwithouthim · 09/02/2023 11:43

Unescorted I've completed it before and also my weight loss stalls when I run, hoping that won't happen this time due to ozempic but if it does it'll be the running that will have to go because I need to get back to a reasonable weight that I'm happy with and can maintain

Unescorted · 09/02/2023 17:21

I am the opposite if I run I lose weight. I can eat anything without a care. My problem is that I injure myself if I don't have the strength before I start doing too much and then I have to stop until I heal. I am hoping that the gym training will mean I don't break before the summer.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/02/2023 18:01

I tell you what eaten everything in sight and can’t be arsed at the gym look like….🙋

Happierwithouthim · 09/02/2023 20:55

Life hormonal or just bored?

I was getting picky earlier so I reached for a can of Monster Ultra Khaotic to tide me over, I only drink a can or two a month now, before I liked to have 2 a week. 11kcal but delicious & full of chemicals 😂

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 09/02/2023 21:02

Both, mainly hormones

Unescorted · 10/02/2023 19:34

Life it is in the air. I cannot be arsed. Did a half arsed session. I will try for more tomorrow.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/02/2023 14:50

Today was a much better gym day

Unescorted · 11/02/2023 15:35

Nice one Life ... I skipped the gym and went running instead. Last night I was dreaming of the fell runs I used to do when I was race fit so I thought I would do one of my short bimble routes. It was lovely It has been so long since I have been out on the fells properly. The gym strength and weight loss has made such a difference.... I am going to have to rethink my training schedule so I can fit it in.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/02/2023 16:23

Perfect day for going over the fells as well

Unescorted · 11/02/2023 17:42

It was perfect weather... Although so busy as I was coming down.
