happier 😁 V day dinner was chicken liver pate with baguette and salad, then confit duck with roast veg and potato dauphinoise then macarons for pudding.
we had guests staying for much of the week, it’s been a lot of party sort of food and then lunches out etc. Le sigh!
how is everyone doing?

Happierwithouthim · 20/02/2023 09:53
Grin

Weighing at 13st 10lbs currently.

Weight loss has slowed a bit but side effects from medication have too so I'm ok with that.

Sounds like a lovely week gen

Yesterday I'd bacon medallion sandwiches for brunch. Half a Tangle twister, it fell off the stick Sad Chicken, stuffing, gravy and brocolli & cauliflower in a cheese sauce for dinner. 4 lily o'brien truffles and a biscuit. Long walk with doggie, dc and bf yesterday.

I can confirm an anxiety spike is good for the waste line, pitty the rest is awful, no gym today as not enough to eat to fuel it. Went Saturday Sunday though.

Unescorted · 20/02/2023 18:19

Baked goods are indeed the work of the 😈.
Life anxiety is no good... Even if it induces weight loss.

Gen that sounds lurvely.

Having got to 74kg a kg went back on again. So this weekend was lots of exercise and not a lot of eating. Back to 74 again... I can see why people lose the will. I have to remind myself that I got to my guilt free Easter Egg and am well on the way to getting to the stretch target of 79kg.

Having said that I have to a different goal for when I get there....more of a what I can do that I couldn't before target. I saw a film about a walk along the west coast of Mallorca... Which is v. Hilly. A quick Google has given me a gpx track and I am thinking 6 -7 days in October. I need to put some more running miles in to toughen up my legs because I will be carrying water food and tent.

Unescorted · 20/02/2023 18:20

79 = 70kg.. dog!

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/02/2023 06:21

135.5 this morning is a new low but when I eat again will go up, gym is planned for today but unfrugally didn’t make lunch this weekend so will have to buy

Happierwithouthim · 21/02/2023 09:52

Life this is what I consider my weight as it's what my body is without bloating/food etc. What it rises to during the day is immaterial, just my opinion.

Unescorted wow that's a lovely plan for later in the year to mark your achievement, working steadily away at weight loss.

I was meant to be at beautican yesterday so cancelled walking with a friend, then beautican cancelled. I walked with dog but didn't cover the distance I would have if I'd my friends company, but I went even though the sky looked dodgy and I got it done.

Went back to the gym yesterday. Still not right but doing ok

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 24/02/2023 13:08

Have fallen off threads here been busy . Have not been good food wise either , SW is not cutting the mustard l am afraid.
Dh is on Keto and doing well, if costing an absolute fortune on meat !
Hope eveyone is ok , l must do better Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/02/2023 08:18

I think with SW it’s easy to eat a lot of calories, pasta for example is very calorific but “free” on SW. likewise most carbs

the theory of good protein and veg is ok though as that’s what most of us need.

kust Need to practice what I preach now

Unescorted · 25/02/2023 09:50

I don't understand why pasta is "free" in SW. I find it gives me a sugar dip. Unless I eat it with protein/ own body weight of Vege I feel really hungry about an hour later. Same with bread and white rice.
In my weight loss journey <sorry for inducing a small upchuck> I have avoided it unless I am eating a late dinner and can sleep through the urge to inhale all the chocolate and do a late night raid to the Swizzles factory.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 25/02/2023 21:07

Yes Unescorted l am the same as you wth pasta . Damn stuff invokes Comas in me 😱

Unescorted · 27/02/2023 11:19

I am in need of stretches.... I did 9k on the hills yesterday and now feel as if I need a double hip replacement. It was lovely to be out though. Sunday afternoon after the walkers have gone home is my favourite time.

Happierwithouthim · 02/03/2023 08:29

World obesity day - when it comes around next year I will no longer be obese, shouldn't be overweight at all at that stage Wink

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/03/2023 17:59

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/03/2023 18:17

I’ve lost the plot but started hrt yesterday so going to be back to it tomorrow

Unescorted · 04/03/2023 18:02

life hrt has made a big difference for me.

I did a double dip today. Weights at the gym this morning and a run over the hills this afternoon. I am quite tired.

Why are the last kg soooooo hard to shift?

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/03/2023 19:06

Because they are twats
I’ve considered my workout mucking out and a long dog walk

Gensola · 04/03/2023 19:25

I haven’t worked out in about a million years - 6 days to my interview then I’ll get back on it. 😁
Had nails done today which was nice little boost, went for pewter metallic grey.
