I started ozempic last night

Going to log my experience here as a journal and also to help others if interested.

having gone hungry to lose 5lbs earlier this year and then stalled because I’m always hungry, I put 4lbs back on. Being v pear shaped I never have a belly, but now it sticks out and digs in and clothes are uncomfortable. Doing more exercise makes no difference. It is clear that will power simply doesn’t work for me.

I took my first dose (0.25mg) last night. Woke up around 2.30 with pain at the injection site which passed. Was v thirsty so gulped water which just seemed to sit there. A couple of small burps. Got back to sleep. Weirdly vivid dreams. This morning, not particularly hungry first thing.

yes i am recovered no more weight loss hardly surprising but am going to have second 0.5 mg today.
And I seem to be safely in the z12 stone zone rather than the 13 ( was really edging towards the 14s if i'm
honest! ) so still huge with a giant 33 BMI but feeling hopeful!
So good to see these stories!!
Now I have a big dilemma, I haven't told a soul in real life but am going on a hot holiday on friday
OP gave me good advice before so I do have a letter from Juniper but no way to print it out without involving someone else!! I could try the library I guess BUT should I come clean to DH ? He
So far no one has spotted the drug in the fridge!!!Only I have the power to clean the fridge
But a small hotel minibar fridge will be a different matter. it's just that i've done so many diets etc over the years i just wanted to keep it to myself
Any advice?
Could i hide it in something else that could be kept in the fridge?
Will an electronic version of the prescription and letter be sufficient?

Can anyone possibly please DM me a link for an Ozempic discount?

I'm finally going to take the plunge as all other diets just don't work as I have no willpower whatsoever!

Yes, an electric version of the letter will be sufficient, just make sure you screen shot it incase you can't download it when you get there.

Personally I'd just put it in a small carrier bag and tie it up. I'd tell my DH though (and I have, surprisingly he asked no questions and made no comments).

I’m also not planning on telling anyone incl my husband as I know he’ll think I’m mad and it’s a waste of money. (He has no problem with his weight and can eat whatever he wants with seemingly no consequences!)

I've lost 3lb since I started on .25mg on Wednesday. Jeans are certainly looser.

It's definitely helped me stay in deficit - I've been nursing a yoghurt and a coffee all morning at my desk and don't want anything else. I was also very moderate over the weekend, including planning and cooking for a big family meal, and was able to eat lightly and wasn't very interested in eating more than I planned.

Absolutely no side effects, luckily, so will go up to .5 as soon as I can

Mine has definitely worn off this morning, 😅 m ravenous! Just need to make it through until my second dose kicks in.

I told my DH in the end as it seemed really quite weird and he's just read the JC article by co incidence.
He was totally fine and actually said he thought i'd lost weight but did want to make a big deal about it! So all good .
definitely not as non hungry as before but have got people coming for dinner tonight and finding motivating myself to cook etc really hard.

Im exactly the same today!!(day 6) and suddenly very hungry. I’m keeping the calories low and making an effort to make decent choices but it’s a real effort!!!! Tomorrow is my second dose. Last time I did it at 8pm but I think I will do it mid aft. A very marked difference to the past 4 days where I’ve had very little appetite or desire to steal a few of the kids chicken nuggets. Today I do and it’s hard again. Second dose here we come then I will weigh wed morn prob. Hoping for 2lbs as I’ve been a maximum of 1000cals all week and a total of 1 bottle of dry wine spread over fri and sat so really hope I get sone loss.

I've been hungry today. Feels like pre ozempic, despite having my 3rd dose this morning. Quite disheartening after having 2 weeks of change to go back to how I was before - hungry but also feeling like binging. Oh well, onwards and upwards. Also worried that despite holding it in for count of ten there was still drops on the needle so am I not injecting it properly?!

however, until today I had lost 2lbs which is about right with the (effortless) reduction in food. Also constipation seems 🤞🏼 to be easing.

i think I would. I eat loads of fruit and veg and plenty of egg/sveggie protein . I’m a veggie and take multi-vits/supplements as well.

I'm due to take my 5th week tonight and my delivery will be 3 days late ( payment error)
Would it be ok to take the remainder in my pen? So 2x 0.25 tonight. I bought extra needles as I was aware it would be late!

That’s the great part: I haven’t been hungry even on 1000 cals a day it’s amazing and yes lots of nutrition with the choices I’m making. You can have awful nutrition on 3000 calories or great nutrition on 1000 calories- it depends on content. It’s been a great first week

so will update any weight loss weds. I only ate around 1500 a day before and continuously gained thanks to PCOS (thyroids fine already checked) and sedentary working from home aside from 4/5hrs a week walking dogs so I really do have to be that low to lose I think and Ozempic enables the deficit so far 🙏🏻

Yes I’m doing it and haven’t been hungry until today (day 6 so 2nd dose due tomorrow which maybe why) also I’ve had lots of energy weirdly and sleeping deeply with vivid dreams-no other symptoms. nothing happened til day 3 though…I also had a drop of liquid on needle afterwards and forgot to leave it in for 6 seconds (only did 2!) so was worried wasn’t full dose but it worked so assume it was

What happens when you reach your ideal weight?
How do you stop taking it? Doesn't the weight come back?

When you reach ideal you slowly taper the doses down til you’re off it then the idea is that your brains partially rewired through the process but most people put sone back on but if you continue to eat the same you shouldn’t logically but I wouldn’t be able to stay at 1000 cals forever obv
