Morning everyone one week down! I weighed every day this week and took the average away from my 1st April weight and am 1.2 lbs down so delighted with that. I don't have a lot to lose so an average of 1lb a week is what I'm aiming for
Even though I don't have high numbers to lose I'm a classic apple shape with skinny legs and arms and any excess weight goes straight to my tummy and looks awful, I have so much belly fat to lose ☹️
One week in and the sugar cravings are lessened and whenever I quit sugar I sleep like a baby, it really seems to mess with my sleep so there's a good incentive to resist the Easter eggs!
My plan for the day

Breakfast : fasting as not running this morning so just black coffee and water
Brunch : scrambled eggs with chorizo, spinach and mushrooms
Snacks : apple, frozen grapes, protein smoothie
Dinner : stir fried Italian cabbage and mince with cream cheese mushrooms
Exercise : hot yoga class tonight

Morning everyone. Had a bit of a stern word with myself last night. Good intentions are not helping me loose weight and I have to stop the snacking. So today my aim is to have three filling meals. No excuse while off work as I have time to prepare proper meals rather than being something in the oven. So far I’ve put on a lb this week. Going to try and be a bit more active today. One day at a time at the moment until I figure out what is getting in my way and why I have such a lack of willpower at the moment.

Morning everyone. Tea and toast so far this morning. I have pork in my slow cooker for pulled pork this evening which I'll have with coleslaw and a gherkin and possibly in a bun. Lunch will be a baked potato with crème fraîche. With apple and orange for snacks

Last night I snacked on pumpkin seeds and craved something sweet so had a bit of vanilla ice cream with tinned mango.

I only get a sweet tooth when I'm trying to curb my calories which is annoying as don't keep sweet things in the house really so end up having what I think are odd combinations.

Morning all and well done. Whatever it is you did (or didn't do) to get to where you need to be, bloody well done!

My moment of doing something - I finally weighed myself. I've put on half a stone in a couple of weeks and now I'm 13 stone 8! It seems like yesterday that I was horrified that I'd hit 11 stone because I'm only 5 ft 5 and that meant I was in the unhealthy BMI zone. I'm actually obese now. Bugger.

I've made an apointment to speak to the GP about whether HRT could be behind such a huge gain (almost a stone in the 6 months since I started taking it), but whatever the medical situation, it's clear I can't go on gaining weight like this.

I've started today. Properly. Someone up thread mentioned the Louise Parker method, which I googled and seems like it would really work for me. She recommends the kind of food I really like eating and a lot of her method is about treating yourself well, resting and using food as nourishment, which resonates with me.

How the elaborate recipes fit with someone who hates cooking (and shopping) and has two junk-food fixated kids to cater to as well... well, I guess that's the challenge...

Ugh, I've just eaten that snickers I was delighted I didn't eat yesterday. Oh well, that's lunch sorted I guess. Cottage pie for dinner and a low impact core and legs thing for exercise.

Going ok here, lost 3 lbs. Typical day breakfast is milky coffee, lunch 1 large scrambled egg in butter, dinner is tray of roast veg (courgettes, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, portobello mushrooms, broccoli, garlic, chilli flakes, salt and black pepper, a couple of baby potatoes) chicken breast and 2 glasses of wine. If I need a snack it’s a piece of cheese or a spoon of peanut butter. I love the food, just need to keep away from the bread.

I went to the gym yesterday for the first time and burned 650 calories. I need to burn away 10 kg until my sisters wedding in July. So basically, I'm on skimmed milk coffee, ice cold water until 5/6pm. Then I'll have a nice meal and continue like this until July. Hoping I'll lose 10 kgs by the end of it. I've also sold my car, so that will mean I will be walking everywhere as well which will add onto my daily steps.

@doyourselfafavour Don't take the calorie burn as being realistic, it usually way way overestimates. I'm not trying to rain on your parade, just a word of warning in terms of thinking about how much you can eat and still be in a deficit

Feeling a bit despondent this evening. It's staff dress down day at work tomorrow because it's the end of term. General expectation is that we all wear jeans/dungarees etc and it's sort of frowned upon to wear you usual work stuff. The kids all love seeing "Miss" in her normal clothes, but I've just gone upstairs to sort what I'm wearing and nothing bloody fits. I can't fasten most of my jeans, and the one pair I can fasten is so tight I can't sit down (and consequently looks awful). My denim dress doesn't fasten, my dungarees do up but look ridiculous because I'm so fat in the middle... I genuinely don't know what I'm going to wear! I hadn't realised how much I've been relying on my baggy work dresses to get me through...

On the plus side, I've not dived into the biscuit tin for a comfort binge or the wine and have got a lovely healthy dinner planned. I'm just so tired of losing and regaining the same four stone Sad

That's exactly where I'm at @CaptainCallisto!! I have ballooned in my stretchy leggings and jumper dress and no jeans will do up. I even put my trusty old baggycombats on to do gardening and after a few hours I had abrasions where they'd cut into my tummy. I cant afford new clothes so simply have to loose the belly!!!!

It's so frustrating isn't it @frostedfruits. It's usually PE on a Friday afternoon so I did debate wearing leggings and a baggy t-shirt, but then I caught sight of my reflection and remembered why I only wear leggings around the house or under dresses!

I tried to put an old stretchy dress on last week and I had such a big bump I definitely looked pregnant. I only have one bra out of 8 that fit me now as well.

I went to work early today so didn't have time for breakfast sohad a cuppa and a banana at 10 instead. I've realised it's much easier being a bit hungry in the morning when busy than being hungry in the evening. So I'm going to try this from now on.

I'm also going to buy some sweetener as 10 cups of tea with 1 sugar is 400 cals which is almost a meal!

Hoping keeping you all company will help with motivation as don't get any at home.

Not in a negative way but husband Simple doesn't mind me chubbier and brings sweets !!

Oh and I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow morning. I can't face it on a work day when I'm having to leave home by 7:30 etc. Off for bath and bed shortly as I had so little sleep last night and I need to get my run done before DH heads to work.

I do a fair bit of exercise. I gently swim and pool walk for 5 hours a week. I also do 1 hour Pilates a week. I hike (but flat because of an injury) once a week. It's not enough though. I need to sort my diet out and build in some more intensive cardio.

I think I know what I need to to do re exercise but I need help with my diet. I have got muscle under this layer of fat 😂. Need to shed 1 stone, maybe 1.5 stones.

So breakfast lunch and dinner
With a banana and 1.5 L sugar free squash in between

There is no reason to add in more intensive cardio, I think just a tweak to diet and you'll find the change happens @LouB76

Tell me about it, I've done well today but I could eat Cadbury World right now.

I've done my 10k steps and some skipping. I didn't go swimming.

Food today was:
B: Greek yoghurt, a banana, a spoon of peanut butter and a tiny drizzle of honey.
L: a slice of cauliflower tortilla.
D: oven baked chicken wings, salad, coleslaw.
S: a few monkey nuts.

Drinks: 1 tea, no biscuits! 3 litres of plain water.

But I want something 😕 I'm in bed though fighting the urge. I dont want to eat past 8pm and well as avoiding the snacks (12-8 eating window).

Today I've got bootcamp and then I'll do w3r3 c25k on my cross trainer, and finish my 10k steps on there too.

Food aims will be:
B: greek yoghurt & banana, peanut butter and honey.
L: cauliflower tortilla.
D: maybe soup & salad, I haven't decided yet.
S: nuts or dark chocolate.
3l water, and I'll try to drop out the sweetener in my tea today.

Marking my place. Am 10 days into Slimpod. Weight so far very small (menopausal, so bolloxed metabolism not helping) but I'm eating better food and my skin is really glowing and dewy which is motivating me to carry on.

Weekends can be tricky for sticking to plans but gonna do my best. Off to a comedy show this evening but will be driving so going to eat light today and allow a few non alcoholic beers, keeping under 1400 cals

Breakfast - banana and peanut butter
Lunch - scrambled eggs with chorizo spinach and mushrooms
Dinner - tuna salad
Snacks - apple, grapes, protein smoothie, 3 Heineken zeros

Well and truly off the wagon today Blush I had a Danish for breakfast, half an Easter egg mid morning and a KFC for lunch (took dd and her BFF out after finishing school. They weren't interested in my more moderate suggestions). I'd lost 1kg this week so that's probably wiped out. Oh well, start again tomorrow...

Can I jump in to encourage you because I did sort my shit out and lost two stone since November and it feels so great and worth giving up the unhealthy foods for ! Do you want choc or do you want to be slimmer and healthier? I ask myself that every day
