@Marvellouslymadmum I’m very medium boobed at most so that isn’t an issue fortunately.

hopefully the shakes will help kick start things for you!

Marvellouslymadmum · 03/06/2022 23:29

@thislittlebird that's what I'm hoping! Mine will get somewhat smaller with weight loss luckily or I may topple over 😂

neverenoughchelseaboots · 04/06/2022 08:00

Ooh I love Fatface @thislittlebird. I actually found a pair of unworn Fatface dungarees in my wardrobe yesterday - I'm usually good for not buying things and leaving them so I feel terribly guilty, especially as they're now a bit too big.

@Knittingnanny2 & @swimming I also find that I lose weight after a bit of a blow out. I remember modernfeminity used to say the same and she was the oracle 😂

neverenoughchelseaboots · 04/06/2022 09:06

Just catching up on the second half of unread messages. Congratulations @thislittlebird! And to everyone on the lost inches.

Waves to Soover, Welltidy and Purple (who is probably having a fabulous weekend with lots of socialising Smile).

Hope you're having lovely long weekends all, I'm mainly realising what a terrible stay at home mum I'd be!

Pommelegible · 04/06/2022 09:14

Back fat is definitely the worst! Mine has definitely reduced though which I’m thrilled about. Not quite so thrilled about my boobs vanishing however.

Started today off with an almond croissant Blush. Not the most diet friendly food! I’ve just got an air fryer and am trying loads of stuff in it. Have to say getting my croissant cooked in 7 minutes instead of 22 is the most exciting thing so far (and possibly very dangerous)

I’ve not tried any shakes, mainly because I think I’d have the shake then eat the food on top!

Marvellouslymadmum · 04/06/2022 11:56

@Pommelegible that's what I've always found with other shake brands but I have to say this one is so much better, keeps hunger at bay for hours and I've only got the normal diet one rather than the extra

Knittingnanny2 · 04/06/2022 13:57

I’m making a cake for our street get together tomorrow. I’ve had to buy several packets of smarties to get the blue and red ones to make a flag...... what shall I do with the other colours!?
I love smarties.... of any colour

Sooverthemill · 04/06/2022 14:17

After a fairly sensible week, DD and I have made 6 mini cheesecakes because it’s Shavuot (basically Jewish eat as much cheesecake as you can day) so that will be a blip for me. I’m also having a picnic Shavuot meal on her bed as DH is away today. However I’m pleased with progress and have done my yoga every day. Small steps

Pommelegible · 05/06/2022 07:42

@Knittingnanny2 well I know what I would do with them…

@Sooverthemill that sounds like my kind of day, it should become a national day regardless of religion!

Yesterday was a bit of a write off in the end, started with the almond croissant and ended with home made pizza and half a bottle of champagne (with pork pie and a cream eclair in between). Today is not looking low calorie either with roast beef and an afternoon tea picnic (involving scones and cakes). Oh well, will just try not to eat too much.

Knittingnanny2 · 05/06/2022 09:37

@Pommelegible theyve gone......

againmaeve · 06/06/2022 09:55

Hello all - finally faced the scales after weeks (months!) of eating and drinking pretty much what I wanted and result was as expected (not good!). Am committed to reversing the trend before it gets completely out of hand...
B mushrooms on toast
L carrot and coriander soup with three oatcakes
D baked vegetable gnocchi
No snacks
Plus a half hour bike ride planned
Current weight 9st 4.6lb
Target - get back under 9st

againmaeve · 06/06/2022 10:01

And waist measurement 33 inches - never tracked that before so will be interested to see what difference I can make to that. Just looked it up and I should be aiming for 31 inches - half height apparently is recommended

thislittlebird · 06/06/2022 13:23

I’m trying to get to 31 or under too@againmaeve. I’m at 32.5 inches but that was before this holiday, but started on 36 four weeks ago

Ok so I’m in Cyprus and the weather is lovely but it’s definitely a reminder that a) I’m glad I’ve lost the 6lbs I already have and b) I need to lose another 6 more and the rest.

It’s frustrating because I don’t really like having my photo taken even if I feel better in my clothes. I’m also still carrying a lot of prednisolone weight on my face from taking it for a couple of months last sprimg for a crazy 18 month long plus eczema flare up. I would never ever gain face fat before the pred, and for some reason the face fat just will not shift, even though other people say prednisolone moon face goes away after 6 months ish 😑. Just really hoping it goes from my face eventually if I get my weight down more when I get back from holiday.

thanks @neverenoughchelseaboots! I’m very pleased with the progress over four weeks and looking forward to continuing when back from holiday, which is unusual.

jadeyxox · 06/06/2022 14:48

hiya all! new here and a fellow shorty (5ft 1) - would love to join the club! what do i need to do for my initiation? 😂

againmaeve · 06/06/2022 19:26

Hello @jadeyxox and welcome. Definitely no initiation! Being a shortie is the only requirement! I stuck to my plan today - just got to keep it up for the next little while...

thislittlebird · 06/06/2022 20:51

@neverenoughchelseaboots forgot to reply to yo he fatface message. I love fatface, I feel like they’re a really nice shop for me now in in the very late 30s and beyond age range. They have a nice selection of stuff. I imagine I’ll be in the same situ with a pair of dungarees too if I keep losing the weight.

@jadeyxox welcome aboard!

WellTidy · 06/06/2022 21:17

Great to read what everyone is up to!

A whole week of all-inclusive has done some serious damage. We all had a really lovely time and I had fantastic wear out of the Thread Jumpsuit!

I weighed in at 9st 3lb this morning, so was back on the treadmill doing an hour’s hill climb after I’d tackled the laundry pile.

I can’t believe how cold it is at the moment. We were only away for a week but quickly acclimatised to the uninterrupted sun. I’ve got the heating on!

jadeyxox · 06/06/2022 22:57

Thanks for the lovely welcome everyone! it sounds like you're all doing really well. I really do need to get my arse in gear and start making an effort!

againmaeve · 07/06/2022 07:54

I was doing well @jadeyxox but it is so easy to let things slip! I find posting here helps keep me somewhat accountable. Today's plan is much the same as yesterday's but with a 5k walk instead of a bike ride.

Sooverthemill · 07/06/2022 08:23

I'm really struggling again. Sleep is dread and my intolerances have kicked off again. So I always feel bloated and uncomfortable and dreadful. Trying to eat totally cleanly ( so avoiding all suspect foods) is dull

purplegirl13 · 07/06/2022 08:49

Hello all,

I'll be back at lunchtime after I catch up on posts.

Today's plan
B - hot water with lemon
L - gazpacho (not quite the weather for it!)
D - spinach risotto

SwimmingOnEggshells · 07/06/2022 11:02

Hey everyone, just catching up after my long weekend. So I've been slogging away at my weight loss and it has been paying off, today I weighed 8 stone 6lbs (and 3/4s), that's a 7lb loss in 6 weeks!! Can't believe it, all that hunger and running has paid off 😂For reference, when I started the first 'shorties' thread I was 9 stone 8lbs. 🎉🎉🎉

And I did week 5 day 2 of c25k on the road which was a total killer, especially given I've been doing all the other ones on a treadmill. Much less boring, I have to say.

jadeyxox · 07/06/2022 11:09

@againmaeve Yes, you're so right! I've been a typical yo-yo dieter through my 20s so I know I can lose the weight if I try but it's sticking to it that's the big problem. Finding it especially hard this time because I feel like I have a mountain to climb from where I'm starting from.

againmaeve · 07/06/2022 11:14

Huge congratulations @SwimmingOnEggshells - inspiring stuff!

jadeyxox · 07/06/2022 11:14

Well done @SwimmingOnEggshells!!
