Lovely dress @WellTidy. Quite tempted to buy one!

@Sooverthemill thank you, I’ll have a look for the yoga thread. I need all the motivation I can get right now! I had covid at the end of February, only mildly but I’ve been exhausted ever since and found my usual activities much harder than I normally would.

Pommelegible · 06/05/2022 12:43

@thislittlebird where are you doing 30 day shred? It’s no longer on YouTube which is where I did it years ago

thislittlebird · 06/05/2022 13:09

@Pommelegible I'm doing it via the Amazon Prime app on my TV. I bought it on Prime to stream good few years ago now.

purplegirl13 · 06/05/2022 13:29

@neverenoughchelseboots I want to take photo's but I am scared to, same with measurements! I did brave the scales today 10st8.4 :(

@WellTidy I knew the scales would show results of your hard work :)

@Sooverthemill I'm also craving pizza since your post!

@SwimmingOnEggshells did you see the post about the george jumpsuit? @WellTidy and I bought it after @Knittingnanny2 recommended it.
This is it direct.asda.com/george/women/jumpsuits-playsuits/red-belted-jersey-jumpsuit/GEM926750,default,pd.html?cgid=D1M1G20C12 and available in other colours

@WellTidy @SwimmingOnEggshells will you be my c25k buddies? Don't be surprised if your second attempt is much easier. I struggle to do the 60 seconds and at the 40sec mark before I think I am going to die, but the second I could do an extra 5-10 seconds.@againmaeve come join us! I am hoping to run on Sunday morning.

Unfortunately the boden dress is too high-necked for my top half but it looks very comfy so am jealous of those who have bought it!

hello to the newbies!

I went to my first swimming class yesterday! I enjoyed it! Thighs were a bit sore this morning.

Eating hasn't been too bad, I've been resisting the pastries but succumbed to a cappuccino today (only 1 sugar instead of 3!)

Inspired by @SwimmingOnEggshells (I think) today's lunch was a small baguette (still warm!) with mushroom pate. I am out for drinks tonight which may be my downfall but I'll start afresh tomorrow.

Happy Friday Ladies! x

Knittingnanny2 · 06/05/2022 13:46

Hi ladies I’m on day 5 of antibiotics, day 15 of blocked nose and day 22 post tooth extraction and still can’t taste or smell anything so eating anything I fancy still!
No point me weighing in yet but am just about fitting in my size 10 stretchy midi dress from crew clothing! Bought myself a denim jacket after consulting my adult children and ended up with a size 14 as I actually wanted it to do up!
i obviously didn’t wear it with slippers!

Looking great @Knittingnanny2 ! Your tooth ordeal is 😮Horrible for you. I really like the denim jacket too. And your duvet cover/bedspread 😁Where is it from? My bedroom is pink and grey and my current pink duvet set (I have two the same pattern) needs to be replaced.

Oh yes I remember that jumpsuit @purplegirl13 I might give it a whirl, I don't normally go for jumpsuits because the crotch tends to be halfway down my thighs 😂

So happy to have C25K buddies!

My duvet is the best thing I’ve bought ever!!!!! It a coverless 4 tog from M and S. we use it from February til November and throw it in the washing machine. It air dries in an hour and I don’t have to wrestle with duvet covers for most of the year.

Knittingnanny2 · 06/05/2022 19:02

It’s a couple of years old though so the colours might be different now. Also, not good for menopausal women as it’s polyester. I’m past that stage so it’s fine for me and mrknittingnanny

Knittingnanny2 · 06/05/2022 20:04

Mmm just looked on M and S and it doesn’t look as if they do them any more. But there are other brands.

Sooverthemill · 06/05/2022 20:07

Pizzas!

@Knittingnanny2 I had been looking at that! I'm sorry I didn't get it now. I have a vague memory that a review said it was more peach than blush which put me off, but it's clearly pink!

Those pizzas look so delicious!

WellTidy · 06/05/2022 21:11

Those pizzas look absolutely amazing!

Sooverthemill · 06/05/2022 21:45

I ate too much…

purplegirl13 · 06/05/2022 22:14

I'm blaming @Sooverthemill

purplegirl13 · 06/05/2022 22:17

I also had a bottle of rose, and a frozen margarita. Can I blame @Sooverthemill for those as well as the pizza 😉

busybeeee222 · 07/05/2022 09:06

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well.

So I joined the thread ages ago, I calorie counted for a few days then stopped. I keep trying and can't be bothered 😫

I am 10.9 at the moment and none of my clothes fit. I need some new clothes as I'm clearly not loosing enough weight to get back into my old ones.

Any suggestions for flattering clothes? I have an hour glass figure (much bigger than I'm comfortable with) and my belly sticks out which I really want to hide.

I find peplum tops are good for hiding my belly, any other suggestions?

As I have a small waist (compared to hips) If I wear anything straight or baggy I look massive.

WellTidy · 07/05/2022 09:51

@busybeeee222 maybe this thread will help:

purplegirl13 · 07/05/2022 10:16

@welltidy @SwimmingOnEggshells when are you next doing c25k? I plan on going tomorrow morning

WellTidy · 07/05/2022 11:12

@purplegirl13 I’m going this afternoon. I thought I’d have the weekend off, if I worked out that I have to go and do run two today or I won’t be able to fit it in. As I have all my Zumba, yoga and spin classes booked for next week, you see!

I am down 0.5lb again overnight to 9st 3lb. Which I have no doubt already scuppered by having a large mocha and a pastry. I’ve used uk half my daily allowance and it’s 11:11am.

Knittingnanny2 · 07/05/2022 11:46

I really want to come to the pizzeria!

Knittingnanny2 · 07/05/2022 11:48

Feeling slightly better today so planning a walk with mr knittingnanny, over the ferry, bus to far end of southsea seafront then walk back to the ferry. Of course the walk will end up in Gunwharf Quays and involve tea and a very small piece of cake!

SwimmingOnEggshells · 07/05/2022 11:54

I'm thinking of going tomorrow too @purplegirl13, the backs of my thighs are still quite sore but I hope by tomorrow they'll be back to normal. It's three runs a week isn't it?

Wow @WellTidy it's falling off you now!

Pommelegible · 07/05/2022 16:26

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Static on the scales for me this week but I’ve copied whoever said they’d done bra and pants picture and also done my measurements.
10 minute full body fat burning cardio workout followed by 10 minute morning yoga done first thing. Eating has been ok(if a bit carby) so far today. I’m nearly at 10000 steps but that’s normal for me so ideally would be doing more if I’m upping the exercise. Just hoping to have a bit more tone by the time I go on holiday.

@Sooverthemill those pizzas look so good!

@Knittingnanny2 sorry your tooth problem is going on for you.

againmaeve · 07/05/2022 16:39

Those pizzas look wonderful!
