I lost 10lb at the back end of last year… weighed myself this morning and I’ve put on just over 8lb over Christmas! I don’t even feel like I overate that much. I blame the baileys.

Anyway, today is a new start, going to get that weight back off and lose another stone on top.

MFP is my friend again and today shall be somewhat of a fasting day as I’ve got so much to do and feel horribly bloated.
Day 4 of no alcohol, going to keep that going for as long as possible as it’s empty calories and my evening wine was becoming far too much.

SW - 10st 8.8lb
GW - 9st

Goal weight for now is back to 10st.

Feel free to join or at least wish me luck 😬

Back in the office again today. I'm hoping I can hold out having my breakfast until about 9:30 again as that seemed to be a game changed for me. I haven't weighed myself yet, I think I'm gonna wait until Saturday. I have a rough idea of Boucher I've lost as I weighed myself quickly with Clothes on 🙈

Got my jeans on today, let's hope I don't regret it later 😂

Hi all! Just coming back to this thread after a horrendous week of being ill and eating virtually nothing! Really unhelpful diet tips from me but actually have lost weight for all the wrong reasons. I will be sorting myself out and getting back on track after a big treat tonight!!! Loving reading this thread, we’ll done so far ladies!

Ladies! I’m here!! I’m so sorry I’ve been awol!
Just caught up on the thread, you are all doing amazingly well 😃

I’ve been so under the weather this past week. Done a couple of covid tests and it’s definitely not that, I just seem to have a terrible cold that has now shifted to my chest.
I’ve managed not to comfort eat but I haven’t lost weight either, still hovering around just over 10st4 😫
Obviously exercise has been on the back burner as I just don’t have the energy.
Got some nice salad & chicken for tomorrow so I’m determined to have a good day, no snacking!

Has anyone tried the Yorkshire Provender roast chicken soup? Ooh it’s like comfort in a bowl, delicious! Low calorie too!
Anyway, hope you are all well, I’m still chugging along… just not as quickly as I’d like!

Happy Friday all! I haven't weighed in today, I'm gonna do it tomorrow morning. I've held off because I just wanted to see a bigger loss and I didn't want to be disappointed. I'm having a little sleepover in my sons room on Saturday night and have promised some sweets and goodies and then I have plans on Saturday so I'm going to have 24 hours off plan so it's the final push today/tomorrow!

Anyone else weighing in tomorrow?

Morning all, sorry you’ve been poorly too MrsH. The last thing you want to concentrate on is a diet when you don’t feel well.

Wednesdayafternoon enjoy your weekend plans. I’m still weighing myself every day and I’m still at 10st 2 so I seem to be dropping a pound every 3rd or 4th day.

I think I’m still under eating so my plan today is a big portion of scrambled eggs late mornings to up my protein. Another salad for lunch. Dinner will be lemon salmon with mash and green beans.

@SingaporeSlinky I normally weigh myself daily too, it's such a rarity for me to last this long!
Unfortunately I have got my period today so the sugar cravings are UNREAL!!! So many time si could've failed today but I haven't so far. Looking forward to my tea and hot chocolate tonight.

When do you guys feel your weight fluctuates during your cycle? For me it's absolutely around the time of ovulation. I store weight so badly around that time and a week or so after! It's awful!

Looking back to last time I lost weight, I’d get chocolate cravings for maybe 2 days before my period, so my calories would go over, but to be fair, although I’d put on a pound or two, they’d dropped off again on day 2 of the period. So I probably wasn’t putting on actual weight - let’s face it, 2 bars of chocolate for 2 days in a row isn’t going to add actual pounds that quickly. I think it must have been water weight.

I think I’ve just gone past ovulation and my weight has stayed very consistent, I’m literally weighing the same for 3 days, then dropping a pound, then same again.

Ive been ok today. I’m doing small things to make sure I move as much as possible. For example my office is on the third floor and I run up and down the stairs all day attending various meetings - I never use the lift! Also I’ve been walking around outside just or ten minutes or so with my mid-morning coffee which is lovely for getting a breath of fresh air and resetting.

Today I missed breakfast but had a coffee mid-morning.

Lunch (catered at work so not the best) - spicy chicken and peppers with a handful of wedges.

Snack - two rice cakes, hummus, cucumber chunks and about a million pickled onions from the jar hahah! Need to stop that! Then a pear.

Dinner tonight is usually a takeaway. I have pulled pork and jalapeños with fries. May try and drop the fries and have over salad or something!

Still on antibiotics so that’ll curb the glass of wine. Hoping for a nice weekend, a few treats but sticking to meals items and not mindless snacking all day long.

Hi all just weighed in and I'm 10st 5.5 which means I've lost 8 pounds!!!! I'm aware 1 or 2 pounds of this would've been fluid from the dominos I had the night before and pre period weight but still I'm buzzing! Expecting I'll put a couple on from this weekend but that's fine :)

Tbh I wish I felt abit better. 10st5 is such an annoying weight for me. I've spent along time at this weight in the past and always felt like rubbish so I don't think im gonna feel any happier or comfier until a few more pounds have gone.
But I am happy with how I've changed my ways this week :)

Wednesday I know how you feel. I’m being really impatient. I think because I know I lost weight before, I feel like I want to just be back there again straight away. I know I’m eating way more healthily than I ever have, and losing consistently, but when the scales stay the same for 3 or 4 days in a row, I think do I need to do more? I’m definitely eating 1200 or less cals per day, but only walking here and there. But if I do some proper workouts, I’ll then need to up my intake. I need to be patient, because I know it’s only recommended to lose 1-2lbs per week anyway. But I know that for the last 10 days I’ve not had a single crisp, piece of chocolate, cake, biscuit or anything like that, I feel like I should be rewarded by a bigger loss 😂

@SingaporeSlinky oh bless you it can be so frustrating. I honestly think when things get to stalemate you just need to mix it up abit. Maybe your body needs a day off to shock your metabolism and get things going again? Or some completely different foods? Like o said I get like this at certain times of the month, could this be the same with you? In 3 weeks time when I'm mid cycle I already know that it'll be really hard for me, but that's just something I've learnt about my body over the years!
Are you drinking enough water also?

I maybe do need to drink more water, I’ve been focusing on having less coffee, so instead of about 3 or 4 per day, I’ve had one most days, and maximum 2. Then green tea and hot water and lemon. But not much plain water as well. I’ll try and increase that this weekend.

I’ve been trying new things, like more veg with meals, wholemeal couscous and I had salmon last night, even though I don’t really like fish. More salads too, and walnuts, less carbs. So I feel like I’m doing everything I can (other than cardio).

I’m not due on for another 10 days or so don’t think I’m carrying any extra weight. Let’s see where I am on Monday.

Sorry @SingaporeSlinky that you haven't budged, I bet you're getting so fed up :( I hope you had better news today?
So I had a very naughty weekend! Not weighed myself this morning as no point 🙈 on Saturday I started with some chocolate and surprisingly it made me feel SO sick! But that soon passed and then nothing was stopping me, haha!
My goal this week is 10stone2. Whether I'll get there after this weekend or not I'm not sure but I'll have a mid week weigh to see what's realistic once everything has settled down ☺️.

Morning, nope, 10st 2 yet again. I don’t get it, how can some people be 8st something eating more than me, and I’m putting in lots of effort and still over a stone overweight. I guess my metabolism is rubbish. Although, based on the rubbish I used to eat, how was I not 12st?
I’ll keep slogging away, I delayed my morning coffee to give me the maximum time between dinner last night and first ‘food’ since I have honey and milk. Plan is to drink more water this week as I just wasn’t thirsty much over the weekend.

Right! Fresh new start for me… feeling a bit better although this cold is really lingering. Can’t keep making excuses though, if it’s not one thing it’s another and I never thank myself for overeating!
I’ll probably ease back into the exercise at some point but for now I need to get my diet under control again.

TMI but it’s time of the month here. Usually I’d use that as an excuse to stuff my face but tbh, in recent months I’ve found that eating less makes my periods easier Confused

Making gammon, mash and veg for the family later but I’m really not fancying that so I’ll have some roast chicken soup.
My OH is on a weight loss mission too and he’s already dropped quite a few inches so that’s spurring me on a bit 😆

@SingaporeSlinky you’re doing amazing too! I could do with some of your self control atm. I need to use your approach and just cut out all the snacks.

I’ve managed to drop my sugar in tea & coffee to just one spoon… I’m weaning off slowly, but it’s a start.

It always helps if someone else is trying to eat more healthily too, then you don’t have to watch them eating junk and resisting temptation all the time.

Yes, cutting out the snacks is the only way for me. The kids wanted to make lemon biscuits at the weekend and I did eat 2, because I thought they were tiny, and I’ve literally had no junk for 2 weeks now. But every time I went into the kitchen I could smell them and was so tempted to eat more, so in the end I put them in containers so avoid the smell. Otherwise I’d have grabbed another one each time I went in. Now I know I’ll resist them, for sure.
I went slightly over on cals yesterday, around 1300 for the day, so not a massive amount. Had yoghurt and raspberries for breakfast, porridge with maple syrup for lunch, and then chicken, courgette and wholemeal pasta with a homemade creamy tomato sauce for dinner. I think the 2 small biscuits and 2 coffees was enough to take me over.
