I lost 10lb at the back end of last year… weighed myself this morning and I’ve put on just over 8lb over Christmas! I don’t even feel like I overate that much. I blame the baileys.

Anyway, today is a new start, going to get that weight back off and lose another stone on top.

MFP is my friend again and today shall be somewhat of a fasting day as I’ve got so much to do and feel horribly bloated.
Day 4 of no alcohol, going to keep that going for as long as possible as it’s empty calories and my evening wine was becoming far too much.

SW - 10st 8.8lb
GW - 9st

Goal weight for now is back to 10st.

Feel free to join or at least wish me luck 😬

I think you’re both right tbh… a treat should be just that, an occasional thing, not every night. And I don’t need them, it’s just habit. I’m just as happy to nibble on cucumber… or nothing at all!
I definitely notice my weight loss speed up when I cut out the evening snacks.
Right, you’ve spurred me on, there shall be no biscuits passing these lips today!

It’s freezing here today so I’ve had 2 coffees and a green tea, just to keep warm! Just an apple mid morning, some couscous and roasted veg for lunch. Dinner will be quiche, green beans and broccoli.

Tbf I've had good meals today but I think it's just a very big shock to the system as been so unhealthy recently! 🙈

Also, it sounds silly, but let yourself feel hungry sometimes. It probably is a shock to the system, like you say, but now when I feel hungry, I think, well you’re probably supposed to feel a little hungry before each meal, and your digestive system needs a break rather than constantly having a stomach full of food to work through.
Now I’ve changed my mindset it kind of feels nice to feel hungry, obviously not ravenous, but then I enjoy my meal a little more too. I’m not mindlessly shovelling everything and thinking ‘wow I’ve eaten a ton of food today’ and regretting it.

It’ll be worth it when you see the results! Don’t cave!

I had some Coke Zero and that helped! I haven't caved though and I'm feeling great! I've already got in mind what I'm going to have tomorrow :)

You're so right about feeling hungry! It makes me feel like I'm doing something right 😅

Morning all, still at 10st 3, are we all weighing in ‘officially’ tomorrow?

I’d finished dinner by 6pm last night and just had a mug of hot water with lemon in the evening. My stomach was rumbling by bedtime but not too much.

Haven’t planned my meals today so need to do that and do a quick supermarket shop, otherwise I fall into bad habits of sticking beige food in the oven come 5pm.

Good morning! I had planned on weighing in tomorrow but part of me wants to wait a little longer so will see how I feel on the morning ☺️
I'm not working today so the morning has felt a little easier. The test will come tomorrow when I'm in the office because I do love a hot chocolate at work 😬😬😬

Didn't want to sit around people having a mcdonald's breakfast so had a double sausage and egg sandwich.

Going to have to stop being sociable or I'll not get anywhere.

Early finish today so weights and yoga will have to be done.

I’ve been in that situation and I did just sit and have a coffee. To be fair, I’d already lost a bit of weight, and it was noticeable at that point, so I kind of felt a little smug watching everyone else stuff their faces, because I knew my end goal was worth it.

I wouldn’t stop being sociable as there’s more to life than dieting, but try and have a sensible option, because it’s probably a lot of exercise needed to burn those calories off. But if you’re going to have it, really, really enjoy it 😀

Yeah it was delicious, thought I'd treat myself as haven't done so in a while.

I'll have to stop soon though as I think it's a regular occurance and the slightest treat stops me losing any weight.

Bought myself a size 10 skirt in Oliver Bonas today and it fit! I’m pretty sure they are terrible for vanity sizing, because I’m usually a size 14 trousers so a 12 would be more likely at the moment, but I’ll take it!

I had a good day 2. J feel the dominos panic weight has gone as I'm less bloated so god know what the scales will say! Still torn as to whether to weigh myself. Tbh I'm not gonna feel good about myself until I'm about 10stone 6 at least and I will not have achieved that in 2 days, even with the dominos panic weight gone, haha! I just can't wait to not feel like I'm going to explode in my jeans 😀😀

So Sunday is going to be a day off. I am meeting friends for breakfast and then having Christmas celebration with my other friends who had Covid over real Xmas in the afternoon. I'm hoping it may have a not so negative effect and shock my metabolism a bit to give me a kick start for next week but maybe that's ridiculous thinking 🙈 Either way Sunday will be a big NO for calorie counting because I'd probably break the app 😅 So need to try my best up until then :)

I’m sure 1 day won’t hurt too much, I guess all you can do is have some really healthy days either side. I’d weigh in tomorrow, and then leave it until next Wednesday and hope for the best! Enjoy meeting up with your friends though!

I've got calorie counting anxiety for today! I've had 30 mins sleep all night as tl 1 year old has had me up ALL night!!!
I'm going to be so annoyed at myself if I don't stick to plan today :(

Wednesdayafternoon I know what it’s like to be up in the night with kids, and I’d feel terrible the next day and just eat lots of junk and drink lots of coffee to get through the day. Just look after yourself, if you need a pick me up, just do the best you can. It’s just one day!

Weighing in this morning at 10st 2, so 5 lbs down in total.
Very happy with a strong start, still 11 weeks until holiday so if I can keep this up, I won’t have that regret or not starting sooner.

aww thank you @SingaporeSlinky I have woke myself up now and feel ok. I'm going to try and have my breakfast really late and lunch earlier so it's a lot of food in one go!
I didn't weigh myself this morning as I just wasn't in the mood. I have an early start at worn tomorrow as-well so I might weigh in on Friday!

Well done in your pound and the rest of the loss! How amazing to have a loss but also NO GAIN!!!

How are you doing MrsH? Did you manage to avoid the evening snack the other night?

I’ve had a coffee, green tea and big bowl of fresh pineapple this morning. Might have salad and nuts for lunch. Dinner is roast chicken with whatever veg I can rustle up from the fridge. Think the kids are getting bored with all the veg so might do some chips or something on the side but I’ll just have a very small portion.

I'm doing well so far. Having my breakfast later has really helped me with my morning weak spots, I'm going to try and do this more often. I believe I have enough calories for one small hot chocolate so I might allow myself one this afternoon to help me get through the day!

Yes I’ll have the roast chicken and veg, just a few chips I think. Not a full roast dinner, I’ve just put a whole chicken in the slow cooker, so it’s quite healthy.

Glad you’re on track today. I’m the same, I’m not usually hungry first thing, I just have a coffee while I’m sorting the kids out and walking them to school. So I leave it until I’m actually hungry, which has been around 10-10.30am and that’s when I have a banana or other fruit, with a big mug of green tea and that fills me up enough until lunchtime.

I've succumbed to having a lot of sausages passing my lips the last couple of days, although my nightly 20 mins stretching have helped to limit the damage and recently starting to feel some tummy muscles I believe I had a few years ago so not too bad. Four sausages left, hopefully don't buy any more or at least binge.
