I lost 10lb at the back end of last year… weighed myself this morning and I’ve put on just over 8lb over Christmas! I don’t even feel like I overate that much. I blame the baileys.

Anyway, today is a new start, going to get that weight back off and lose another stone on top.

MFP is my friend again and today shall be somewhat of a fasting day as I’ve got so much to do and feel horribly bloated.
Day 4 of no alcohol, going to keep that going for as long as possible as it’s empty calories and my evening wine was becoming far too much.

SW - 10st 8.8lb
GW - 9st

Goal weight for now is back to 10st.

Feel free to join or at least wish me luck 😬

Good way of thinking of it @Wednesdayafternoon, new week, it’s not easy tying to change habits, and lose weight, so as long as you keep going, you’ll get there.

Weds once you have a reset, I do find you’re hungry more, it takes me a good 3 days to get past that. Then I lose my appetite, which massively helps.

Talk how are you doing with going to the gym?

Went today but with a pulled muscle in my arm so couldn't do as much as I would have liked and a call from the passport telling me I hadn't done a section on my passport application correctly, which could have been mentioned weeks ago put me off a bit, but okish, 1/2hour on the treadmill.
Plan to go tomorrow for a better session.

Well done for going to the gym though, half an hour is better than nothing! Hope you managed to resist pudding at your parents house!

9st 5 for me now, been to the gym 4 times this week, classes every day, followed by treadmill and cross trainer. One more spin class tomorrow before a break for the weekend.

I've been to the gym two days in a row (Thursday and Friday). I didn't do as much as I'd have liked but better than nothing! I couldn't find a good machine to work my abs, so have been doing stomach clentches on the bed. I've woke up this morning feeling a little sore round the tummy so going to try do this regularly.

Anyone have any good tips for working the tummy?

At my gym classes they make us do lots of planks, which is meant to be good for the abs. I never feel it there though, so I’m not sure my technique is quite right. Lots of crunches too. And one where you lie flat on your back and lift your legs up and down (slowly) keeping them almost straight, which is tough!

Well done for going twice in a row!

Covid has finally got us in this house, so I won’t be able to go at all next week. Plan to go walking instead though, and do some gym work at home.

J@SingaporeSlinky Covid is in our house as well :( have you caught it or just family? I don't have it and it's been a few days so I think I might be spared, but the stress eating has started!
I'm really leaning towards joining slimming world. I just don't know that doing it alone is working for me :( I've always done so well with dieting but I just can't seem to get on board at the minute and it's my sons birthday in may and I REALLY want to look and feel good! 😰

@Wednesdayafternoon DH got it first (from work) and it’s taken about 4 days to get me, and one of the DC so far. Luckily it’s still 3 weeks before our holiday, so in a way it’s good to get it over with now, so we’ll all be clear before we fly.

If you think Slimming World will help, may be worth a try. I’ve never really understood it, but it might help you, having the real life support. Are you at a plateau or are you gaining again?

I think the reason my slimming world always work to me in the past was because it meant that I had to take accountability for any loss or gain and that just motivated me so much. I thought that I could just do it at home but I just don't seem to be able to keep up the momentum. I have gained a bit of weight, I'm pretty much back to square one which is just really frustrating but it's completely justified because my eating is just been crazy. I know that I'm not overweight or anything like that but I just want to feel really good about myself in the summer and the weeks keep passing by and I'm not loosing so something isn't working 😳

Ah, ta, pulled muscle in leg now, though i have a few days to recover before next gym opportunity. Daughter has covid this week, so been a bit limited.

Biscuit tin has been passed around tonight after pudding so some graft to do next week.

Wednesday just like a cold and bit of a cough for me, so nothing much at all really. DH had a migraine first, then shivers, aches, tiredness, classic flu symptoms, as well as a cough.

I know what you mean about feeling good about yourself. I still don’t feel like I have a ‘good’ figure, but I’m getting a little more confidence in myself, even just seeing my reflection when I pass a shop window. I suddenly think ‘ooh, my legs look thinner’. I haven’t shifted my tummy, but it has got a little smaller, that’s why I know I need to keep going, because there must be big fatty deposits there.

Well I hope it works for you, if you’ve done it before, you know you can do it again.

Talk sorry you’ve pulled a muscle, hopefully a full recovery by Monday.

I'm just going for a long pram walk. Brought a salad with boiled egg snd samosas!

Check me out! Another 3lbs off this week so second time under 15 and a half stone since records began.

This after I had my first takeaway in ages. Although a couple of trs to the gym must have helped me out run my bad diet!

On the tinned soups today (usually just have the packets, but deciding to spoil myself).

Hopefully a few mins on the wii and treadmill tonight to match last night.

So I've just rejoined slimming world and I'm excited! Having a last blow out tonight and then I 100% have my head in the game. I went to wallings today and had this and getting a dominos this evening!
So excited to see what I weigh next week!

Good luck Wednesday!

I’m kind of itching to get back to the gym actually! I went for a walk today and then got sidetracked getting a load of washing done, while I can line dry it in this nice weather. I think tomorrow I’ll wear my gym kit for the school run, then I’ll do my dvd as soon as I’m home. I sorted through some bags of summer clothes and was excited to fit into some size 10 stuff I’d bought, hoping to fit into. Now I do!

The nice weather this week was the big reminder I needed! I can't have another summer wishing I was wearing modern summer clothes!

I’m down to 9st 4 and about to do my boxercise dvd, then going for a walk.
