I lost 10lb at the back end of last year… weighed myself this morning and I’ve put on just over 8lb over Christmas! I don’t even feel like I overate that much. I blame the baileys.

Anyway, today is a new start, going to get that weight back off and lose another stone on top.

MFP is my friend again and today shall be somewhat of a fasting day as I’ve got so much to do and feel horribly bloated.
Day 4 of no alcohol, going to keep that going for as long as possible as it’s empty calories and my evening wine was becoming far too much.

SW - 10st 8.8lb
GW - 9st

Goal weight for now is back to 10st.

Feel free to join or at least wish me luck 😬

Aww lol

Had a quick little sleep this afternoon, a little exercise and a fibre sachet so hoping the tikka masala hasn't done too much damage.

Think the fibre sachets really helped me lose weight which I had been forgetting to take, so fingers crossed the scales will be nice to me at my next weigh in!

Wednesday that made me laugh.

It’s funny how my mindset has changed, I felt so guilty for eating my pudding yesterday. Well, I suppose not guilt, and I enjoyed it, but anxious that it would stall my weight loss. I didn’t want to be up a few pounds and then knowing exactly what had done it. But of course I had a word with myself that it was just one pudding, it’s not like I overate for a whole weekend. Plus, when I logged it initially I’d overestimated how much custard I’d have, so the total was more like 540 cals, not 620. Funny how I used to eat things like that a lot, and never give it a second thought. But of course I can’t deprive myself forever, I just need to change it to occasional treats, which it was.

Back on it today, I’ll skip breakfast and just have a coffee. My DH is making a roast beef dinner so I’ll be careful with potatoes and gravy. Weight still 10st 0. Goal is to get into the 9s this week.

Hi all. Hope you don’t mind me joining. I lost 4.8lbs in January which I’m pleased with, it always comes off slowly for me despite a lot of steps / exercise. It all adds up. A new month tomorrow, need to think of some February goals

Welcome @Darbs76 great loss for January! Doesn’t matter how slow it goes, it’s going in the right direction, that’s all that matters.
I think I’ve lost around the same for this month actually, I’m not going to count this mornings weigh in because I definitely feel a bit dehydrated and didn’t eat much yesterday.

Been for my walk, todays food will be salad for lunch, stir fry and tempura chicken for dinner.
This week I’m going to focus on getting more protein, definitely think I’m lacking in it and that’s where I went wrong last time.

@MrsHippopotamus yes I'm all over protein atm! I've never really consciously looked out for protein so I'm hoping that will help!
Protein and water this week!

For breakfast I made overnight oats but didn't enjoy them as had no strawberries in and grapes was not a satisfying substitute!

Snack of banana and hula hoop pufts

Diner is salad with tuna mayo pasta and a boiled egg

Tea is a light one with sweet Chili Philadelphia on rice cakes with some salad

And then I'll finish my day with a mint options hot choc and sex and the city!

All coming in just below 1200 cals 🥰

Morning all, last day of January!
Weighed in once again at that pesky 9st 13 3/4 but I’ll declare 10st 0
Very happy with half a stone total loss in January.

New goal for February I think will be 5lbs, which feels realistic.

Been to a gym class this morning and did about 15 minutes on the equipment afterwards. Early lunch (as I only had water this morning) is a coffee, Greek yoghurt with granola, chia and flax seeds. Dinner will be spag bol.

I’m booked on another gym class tomorrow so I hope I’m not too achey in the morning.

As I walked to the gym this morning I did wonder how I’m going to maintain my weight once I reach a point I’m happy with. That’ll be the interesting part, and of course where lots struggle, isn’t it. The temptation will be to quit the gym, so I’ll need to make an effort to keep going. I think I’m ok with the healthier eating, I’m used to that now and my appetite has reduced loads.

I think I’ve lost a little weight in my legs and bum, I still have a round tummy I’d like to flatten a bit, and general toning up everywhere.

Shall we all weigh in on Wednesday once the effect of the weekend has settled? 😂

@MrsHippopotamus - thank you. Yes I’m happy with 4.8lbs as it all adds up. I stopped weighing weekly and went to daily as it was quite disappointing to see a small loss so prefer daily. Your evening meal sounds delicious! Well done on your loss too

@Darbs76 I totally agree with you about the weekly weigh in! The loss doesn't always reflect the effort so if I didn't weigh more regularly I'd be so disappointed! I try and do every other day but it doesn't always work 🙈

Those of you who use MFP, how do you log meals like spaghetti bolognese that has lots of ingredients? Do you bother adding them all, and dividing by the portion you have, or do you find a ‘meal’ on MFP that you think covers it? So I’ve just made one with beef mince, garlic, onion, green pepper, red wine, courgette, celery, Worcestershire sauce, passata, chopped tinned tomatoes, nutmeg and mixed herbs. I just can’t face measuring it all out! Should I just assume it’s, what, 500 cals?

Right I’ve finally decided to stop making lunch excuses. Our work provide a hot meal but it’s not ideal nutritionally and I never have time to prepare a salad the evening before so I usually pick the least bad option and suck it up. This week I’ve decided to try BOL protein boosting power soups instead - feeling good!

I didn't weigh in today as I had a completely sleepless night last night with my 1 year old and after the weekend I'm not expecting a loss so I didn't want to be even more out out! I'm expecting I'll be around 10st3 tomorrow which is fine. Hoping for 10st1 by Saturday 😳😬

@SingaporeSlinky I'm such a bland eater so not advise I'm afraid! I have started saving meals though with multiple ingredients so that I add them once and then I can just select them in for the next time! I suppose it's all just roughly figured!

Kimmy I think I’d struggle if they were providing it for free, it’s so tempting to save the money. Well done on making the change though.

Got my period this morning so my first chance to see how it affects my weight. I’d usually be up a pound or two but I was actually down a tiny bit today. Walked to the gym and did about 40 mins there, but didn’t have as much energy as usual. My aerobics class was cancelled but just as well really. Had a big bowl of strawberries, banana, natural yoghurt and granola when I got home. Usually I’d be reaching for the chocolate bars but I’m really not craving anything like that anymore.

Pizza for family dinner tonight, but I’m going to be good and have the Fast 800 ‘mushroom pizza’ which is baked portobello mushroom topped with tomato purée,, mozzarella and herbs. Might have couscous on the side.

How is everyone else doing?

Well done!! It’s sooo hard when you’re on your period.

My BOL soup was delicious and I felt full and pleased with myself after it. Work announced this morning that they’re planning a new salad bar included in work too so I’ll see what that’s like when it arrives too!

I’m looking into joining David Lloyd, is anyone a member? DH reckons Peleton may be a better bet and I may use it more as so convenient.

Weighed in at 9st 13, no gym today as I needed to do some errands and stuff. Booked onto a class tomorrow.
Lunch was yoghurt, raspberries and granola. Dinner will be chicken stir fry and rice noodles.
