Accountability - three stone needs to go

Mellowyellow222 · 01/01/2022 19:49

Stood on the scales today - I have gained three stone since 2019. None of my clothes fit and I feel really unfit - can’t even touch my toes!

So today is day one. I have walked 17,000 steps and eaten 1500 calories. No booze and no chocolate.

History of ED so need to be sensible.

Goal is to eat less and walk every day. Treadmill ordered.

@fingersandthumbs ooh so close to breaking that new stone number milestone, fingers crossed for this week! It's so good to see a different leading number on the scales.

Mellowyellow222 · 20/03/2022 15:11

We are all doing really well! Putting in the work now will really pay off this summer. No panicking in may when it’s too hot to cover up in baggy sweaters😊.

If it works the attachment will show just how my weight has jumped around since 1 Jan - but it has defiantly come down.

Hope everyone’s week is going well.

I am keeping to my calorie limit but not much exercise this week.

Have now lost 20lbs which is another mini goal. Nearly have way there😊😊😊

That's a very interesting chart, lots of little jumps but definitely a downward trend.

I'm struggling a bit to get my head back in the game. I need to get back to daily weighing as it seems to help focus my mind for the day. So I can't avoid it!

Lemurville · 26/03/2022 08:10

Today's wt- 13 St 3
Start wt- 14 St 0
Total loss 11lb
Goal wt 10 St 10
I didn't manage to post last week but had gone up 2lbs, so to be back down to where I was 2 weeks ago I am taking as a plus, 🤣
Motivated to keep at it this weekend as those are my downfall
Congrats to everyone doing so well x

I have reached half way point! Which is great. I have had to retire some clothing - too baggy now Star.

@Silversprinkles you can do it. The daily weighing and recoding calories really helped me.

@Lemurville well done!! Motivation can get tough - you are doing really well

I am heading out tonight for a meal and an overnight in a fancy hotel😊.

It’s only one night (plus a hotel breakfast) so I am letting myself enjoy it! Hopefully won’t do too much damage. It’s my best friends 40th so really can’t miss it.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!

Sorry for being MIA - very busy time and a new phone have scuppered me a bit!

can’t wait to catch up with everyone’s news but to start with, here are my stats:

Start weight on 7/12/2021: 14 stone 12
Current weight: 12 stone 1
Goal weight: 11 stone 5

2 stone 11 lbs lost; 10 lbs to go (I think!). My scales broke so I am using analogue ones that are less precise, but I think that this is ok. It will get me into a less obsessive frame of mind for maintaining. Also my phone upgrade has messed up my noom account. Not too worried about this but it is a bit frustrating.

Hope everyone is doing well!

fingersandthumbs · 27/03/2022 11:46

Well done everyone.

I’ve managed to catch Covid this week, really knocked me about and has meant little appetite, so although a loss this week, I’m not sure it’s “proper” loss.

SW 15:11
CW 14.11
Week loss 3lbs
Total loss 14 lbs

Hope to get back to some dog walking next week when I come out of isolation.

Weight standing still again this week - but not the end of the world! I wanted to be under 11st by a holiday that is in three weeks. Not sure I’ll make it but I’ll be close.

But if I keep at it I am confident I will be under ten stone by the summer - which will be amazing😊😊😊

SW 13 stone 10
CW 12 stone 10
GW 11 stone 10

Same for me, weight stayed the same. Even fluctuated up a couple of days this week. I've had too many little "treats" creeping in. I thought I had my head back in the game but I haven't so I'm recognising it and a fresh start this week.

CrunchieForMe · 04/04/2022 08:01

I’ve stayed the same this week too, I haven’t been tracking my for either. Oddly people have started to comment on me losing weight…maybe the gym is paying off.

Will keep going and not give up though!

PaganQueen · 07/04/2022 11:02

Hello all. I've been plodding away with slimming world and using my treadmill whilst working from home, its been nice and steady. For me the charm is watching what I'm eating (I'm not always 100% on the SW plan whoops) combined with about 11000 steps a day. 1lb here, 2lb there, its adding up thankfully.

SW 16 st 4.5
CW 14 st 9.5
GW 13 st

Total lost so far 1st 8. I've just started to feel the difference in how my clothes fit and a few people have noticed too (before I could feel it) which is nice. Aiming on 7lbs a month which means I might get to my first goal at the end of July, ideally I'd like another stone after that but I know when I've been 13st before that I've felt good. My BMI would still be on the high side though and I'd love to be in the green bracket even by 1/2lb Grin

I gained weight this week. I am hoping it’s just fluid!!

This is where I would have given up previously, so accountability is great. Will have to keep an eye on chocolate consumption over Easter

Silversprinkles · 09/04/2022 11:07

Morning @Mellowyellow222 !

Definitely keep going, lots of things can affect weight - hormones, stress, too much salt etc. could be lots of things for a temporary gain - and it's only 1 pound. That's one big poo 🤣

I've maintained same again this week - I've done more gym time but been hungrier, think it's the cold weather! I'm in north Scotland and we have had biting winds and snow this week after some lovely warm days.

TaggieWeightLoss · 09/04/2022 11:27

Hello everyone. Sorry I’ve been MIA. I’ve had all sorts of issues with a new phone and laptop!

Start weight on 7/12/2021: 14 stone 12
Current weight: 11 stone 12
Goal weight: 11 stone 5

Last half stone now to my personal target! And I lost my three stone! Hoping to get to my goal weight in a month or so, but I’m slowing down now and aiming for sustainable maintenance or very slow loss over the next few months.

@Mellowyellow222 and others - fluctuations and plateaus are inevitable. Doesn’t make them any less frustrating though!

TaggieWeightLoss · 09/04/2022 11:53

PS - here is my weight chart, complete with fluctuations and plateaus :-)

Mellowyellow222 · 09/04/2022 19:49

@TaggieWeightLoss you are doing so well!! It’s a long hard slog!

@sliversprinkes I am sue you are gaining muscle weight though with all that training. And yes it has been bloody freezing😂. Not salad weather - it’s lasagne and stews for me!

12 St 5.6lbs when weighed yesterday - finally out of the obese category and 2 stone lost since start January. Happy with that but bit depressed that i still have 2 stone to go to be a normal bmi. Feels like I should be slim by now but am actually still fat. I've never had this amount to lose before so just trying to focus on the positive start I've made.
Been a bit up and down. When I'm on it I'm really strict but still finding it hard to not binge eat on days where I have meals out / social occasions.

Mellowyellow222 · 11/04/2022 19:19

@Jeds55 well done - getting out of the obese category is brilliant!

I know what you mean about it being slow. I have been eating too many treats lately - and there is too much Easter chocolate in the house. Need to get me arse back in gear😂

Jeds55 · 11/04/2022 19:20

@TaggieWeightLoss interesting to see the weight loss laid out like that. Lovely downhill direction

Jeds55 · 11/04/2022 19:46

Thanks @Mellowyellow222 and thanks for starting this thread. It really does help to know that everyone is plugging away and seeing good results.
Re Easter I'm allowing myself days off Sat and Sun (now to be good until then...)
