Anyone else with 10st plus to lose?

HerRoyalHappiness · 28/12/2021 11:07

Im 30 and I weigh 19st 7lb.

Ideally I'd like to lose 10st. I'm obese and I hate it.
I started again dieting yesterday.

I can only manage 5000 steps a day due to being disabled, and I do those with a frame.

I'm hopeful that if I lose the weight there'll be less pressure on my already buggered joints.

Anyone else with a lot to lose would you like a daily check in thread with me?

Oh no! to you and DD @HerRoyalHappiness

ShinyPikachu · 26/04/2022 08:55

Just realised my flowers emoji seems to have vanished in my post. Confused

HerRoyalHappiness · 26/04/2022 09:42

Its the changes MN have made. It's messed up loads of stuff.

It's been an absolute nightmare. I'm on the app and the bookmarks haven't been working (they seem to be today so hopefully that's that sorted) but if I posted on something it would automatically go in my watched list but now it doesn't so I need to watch it or check both tabs.

I'm also having threads pop up as if they have a new post on them when they don't. I'm reading through threads and so many people have multiple posts from the site glitching. It's definitely been one of the worst updates for bugs that they've ended up with!

ShinyPikachu · 26/04/2022 19:07

To get back on subject, I went way over my calories yesterday but there was some ice cream in the freezer taunting me and we ended up with a takeaway last night. I need to work out dinner tonight still but I've got plenty of calories left for today so I might do something easy but within that.

HerRoyalHappiness · 26/04/2022 21:36

It really is a buggy update.

Glad you're back on track today. I'm not. Payday so I treat myself to KFC 🐷

Hi everyone. Completely forgot to log in last week!
Anyway, last week I had put on 2lbs over Easter. Not too concerned - I had been eating 'oddly' when dh and I had covid, then we had our big annual family get together over Easter weekend, so I completely relaxed my eating. To ve hobest, I was surprised I only put on 2lbs! Anyway, have been back to normal this week and today's weigh in shows a loss of 1.5lbs. I'm happy with that. I have lost over 3 and 1/2 stone since we started and although it is slow, it is something I can keep doing over the long term.
Weather here has felt quite cold this week - even at work where it usually feels ok, mainly due to having 28 children in close proximity! Today had been quite sunny and felt warmer, so I'm hoping this continues for a few weeks.

Huge well done @Blueplan that's brilliant! 👏

I lost 1lb this week, which is nothing short of a miracle as I was making my DS' birthday cake.

What I did is set myself a rule that I could only have a bit of leftover ganache, not all of it. That helped mentally

HerRoyalHappiness · 01/05/2022 15:45

Well done @JakeyRolling that's great! 👏
I'm still yo yo ingredients with my weight. I'm currently up at 19st 13. Things have been so stressful this year I can't help but to comfort eat. I really must stop that and find a new thing to use when I need comfort.

It's a fresh week. Time to start again.
I still have over 10 stone to lose and I'm determined. We've got this. I'm going to use exante but still eat a proper meal and as long as I stay under 1500 calories, which is what MFP set for me I will be happy. Team RH doesn't seem to be working for me. I stick to it but 2500 calories a day when I'm on meds that cause weight gain isn't helping me at all. But team RH claim that meds don't make you gain weight despite it being a listed side effect of my antipsychotic meds and they won't budge from that position at all, which means they don't listen to clients and people like me don't lose so its a waste of money each month.

Well done @blueplan and @JakeyRolling

I've managed to lose 2lb this week and that's with only tracking food until Thursday and I got distracted by the weekend again. I haven't tracked today but it's been a bad day here and the type where I forget to eat instead of constantly eating so I know I'll be under.

Will be tracking again from tomorrow as it definitely makes me think more about what we have for meals. I've been out walking a bit more again so hopefully I can keep that up. Smile

ShinyPikachu · 02/05/2022 22:57

And you can do it @HerRoyalHappiness

This is why we're all here. It's a long journey for us and we'll all have stop start moments but we all understand.

Weight loss is definitely slowing down, really need to put a bit more effort in to be honest. Another 2.5lbs and I'm going to be lighter than I've been in a decade, so looking forward to getting to that point, another 6.25lbs and I'll have lost 4 stone, I think the mini goals are helpful when it starts to feel like a slog

SW - 17st 3lbs
CW - 13st 9.25lbs
GW - 10st 6lbs

HerRoyalHappiness · 05/05/2022 13:18

echoes that's amazing progress 👏 huge well done

Being lighter than you've been in a decade will feel so good.

Echoes89 · 06/05/2022 12:41

Thanks guys, hope it's going well for everyone else

HerRoyalHappiness · 06/05/2022 12:51

I've barely lost anything at all. It's quite disheartening but I'm determined not to give up.

Another 1lb this week, so now just a few ounces less that I was before Easter. Happy with that. I am doing well being very strict sith myself in the week and then allowing a treat or two at the weekend. I have some chocolate easter egg left for this weekend. How does everybody else decide what/when to allow themselves a little foody treat?

HerRoyalHappiness · 07/05/2022 16:46

I'm trying to be really strict but that went out if the window today when I got unexpected pennies so bought myself some vodka. I'm child free so I'm drinking already because why the hell not.
Delivery driver asked my D.O.B so I told him and he said "surely not, you look young" I offered to show him my birth certificate as proof. But he's my new favourite delivery guy. 😂

@HerRoyalHappiness
Enjoy your treat! 🍸

ShinyPikachu · 09/05/2022 15:23

Hope you enjoyed it @HerRoyalHappiness

I didn't track again this week as we had some stuff on and I've had a gain, no surprise there. I wish it would come off as easily as it goes on nowadays. Back tracking again this week though, I obviously need to to have any chance of getting this weight off. Sad

blueplan · 21/05/2022 21:09

1 and 1/2 lbs off at today's weigh in. Very happy with that. For some reason I was expecting to lose less, or even stay the same. Very happy to be still losing every week, even if it is only 1/2 a pound some weeks. Total loss is now 3st 11lbs. I have also made an appointment with a dressmaker regarding my outfit for the autumn. I know the sort of thing I would like, and have an idea on colours, so I'm hopeful she will be able to sort me out. She comes highly recommended, so fingers crossed! It's all getting exciting now.
Hope everyone is well and have had a good week.

HerRoyalHappiness · 23/05/2022 06:15

Well done @Blueplan that's brilliant.

I'm 8lb down this week. I'm finally back on it, even though I had a tough night last night I didn't turn to food. And I mean a really tough night. I was suicidal. I phoned the crisis team and they were shit, but my friends kept me calm and talked me down luckily.
