Anyone else with 10st plus to lose?

HerRoyalHappiness · 28/12/2021 11:07

Im 30 and I weigh 19st 7lb.

Ideally I'd like to lose 10st. I'm obese and I hate it.
I started again dieting yesterday.

I can only manage 5000 steps a day due to being disabled, and I do those with a frame.

I'm hopeful that if I lose the weight there'll be less pressure on my already buggered joints.

Anyone else with a lot to lose would you like a daily check in thread with me?

1 lb gain for me. Today will be better.

Blueplan · 05/02/2022 17:15

Just spotted my typo. I don't weigh gin. Don't drink it either come to that - not my choice of tipple at all.

HerRoyalHappiness · 05/02/2022 19:44

Well done @Blueplan that's fab.

I've only eaten a fried egg on toast today. Must have something else to eat...

Well done @Blueplan that's great!

I had a brilliant week and saw a new number on the scale this morning. Only by half a pound, but it felt amazing

BringBackCoffeeCreams · 07/02/2022 09:28

I've had a crap few days again and was feeling pretty miserable as I was hoping changing the filter would sort things. Yesterday was awful, my allergies were full on, my nose is so sore from constant running and I couldn't control my eating at all. Went to bed feeling pretty shit. Just as I was dropping off to sleep I noticed that the filter door on my machine was slightly open and the bloody filter had fallen out completely. How long had it been like that? Is that why I've had some really shitty days after several really good ones?

So I fitted it back in properly and today I haven't had chocolate for breakfast, which is a good sign. But FFS, why is my life completely controlled by a 2x3 cm of fluffy fabric?

ShinyPikachu · 07/02/2022 11:23

Thanks@BringBackCoffeeCreams hopefully that's what it's been.

1.5lb loss for me this week. Still not officially down that big number as I'm sitting at 19st 0.5lb and I only saw the 18 once on an unofficial midweek check. Hopefully next week onwards will be 18s!

But I'm now 1lb down from my start weight. Finally got past those early gains I had. Grin

HerRoyalHappiness · 07/02/2022 12:30

Fingers crossed you've got to the bottom of it @BringBackCoffeeCreams

@ShinyPikachu well done. You're getting there.

FairyLightQueen · 07/02/2022 12:37

2kg loss this week despite my meal plan going to pot a bit and eating chocolate spread on toast most days (eeek). Given the week I've had, I'll take it. Back to the meal plan now though.

HerRoyalHappiness · 09/02/2022 17:20

How'd everyone getting on so far this week?

OP posts:
DuckWithOneWing · 09/02/2022 22:58

I'm having a good week! I've been really organised and taken my lunch to work every day which helps. Hope everyone else is ok.

Neverknowinglyunderfed · 10/02/2022 06:59

We're on holiday this week. No scales here so have missed my wednesday weigh-in. I'll be at home Saturday morning so will just switch this to a 10 day weigh-in.
I've been eating more than I would at home but I'm also walking and exercising more as it's an active sort of holiday. Can't really tell if that will mean good or bad news on the scales but I'm really hoping for more than a 2lb loss this time. Will keep you posted!

Neverknowinglyunderfed · 12/02/2022 15:44

10 day weigh in and I've lost 4.5lbs. Ecstatic with that. Didn't think I'd had a very good week/10days in comparison to the week before but this week I lost more 🤷🏻‍♀️
Next mini target is now getting into the 15 stone category - a few lbs away. Haven't been there since spring 2020 I think.
Hope everyone is having a good week of it x

ShinyPikachu · 12/02/2022 16:03

Well done on losses and those having a good week.

I've been ill again, weird stomach/sore throat thing. LFTs all negative. Im constantly hungry but any time I eat it's making my stomach hurt so I'm just having small things constantly and not counting anything at the moment as I'm just trying to shake this off. You can tell I'm ill because I'm drinking so much tea and I'm normally a coffee drinker. For some reason it's my go to drink when I'm ill or hungover.

HerRoyalHappiness · 12/02/2022 17:58

Just concentrate on getting better @ShinyPikachu

@ShinyPikachu hope you feel much better very soon
@BringBackCoffeeCreams love your user name. My son got me a box of coffee chocolates at Christmas and if i've had a good week, I allow myself a couple at the weekend.
Weighed in this morning and have lost another 1 1/2 lbs, so 2st 11 1/2lbs in total. I am not sure how I will do this week - it's my birthday and it is a big one, so the family will be round for a takeaway. To be honest, i've realised that this is how my life has to be - I cannot keep 'dieting' and then going back to normal once I've reached goal. I have to develop a way of eating that will be sustainable for the future. That is one reason why I don't worry if I don't lose loads every week - as long as it's steady I can keep going. Allowing myself to relax a little at weekends has made it much more manageable this time.
Hope everyone is OK - I am on half term break this week so I'm looking forward to a few days without the alarm waking me.

Hi all, hope you don't mind if I join
Mid August last year I started to lose weight, started at 17st 3lbs. I've managed to get down to 14st 3lbs. Hoping to get down to 10st 3lbs by the end of the year but really hoping get down to 12st 3lbs by May.
I'm pleased with my loss so far, but struggling to see how I'm going to get to that end goal right now.
If I could get down to 10st 3lbs I'll be lighter than I've been since I left school 😳 embarrassed how I let myself get this way

HerRoyalHappiness · 13/02/2022 10:18

Welcome @Echoes89

How is everyone getting on? I've not been well and gained back everything I've lost so far through eating shit constantly. I'm sure it will come off quickly now I'm back on it.

BringBackCoffeeCreams · 13/02/2022 10:52

Still going to shit for me. Sad

Well done everyone who is still strong and losing.

Well done, you're doing so well!
DuckWithOneWing · 13/02/2022 16:44

I have discovered amazing chocolate meringue bars from Aldi. They're by Flower & White and are only 99 calories per bar. I tried the lemon one and it was so good.

I've also been doing walking workout videos from YouTube. I started off with Leslie Sansone, and have now found Get Fit With Rick. His are much more dance based but are really fun. I've been trying to do a video 3 times per week.

Echoes89 · 19/02/2022 07:58

Morning

Weigh in day for me 1.5lbs down. Not as much as I was hoping for, but I'll take it. I've not really done any exercise this week and despite a craving for fish and chips after a stressful day at work, I didn't cave. So I'm pleased with my self control this week even if it's only a smallish loss.
How's everyone else getting on?

SW 17st 3lbs
CW 14st 1.75lbs
GW 10st 3lbs

HerRoyalHappiness · 19/02/2022 08:12

I've regained everything I lost.
Then last night I dislocated my ankle so that's fun.
Back on the diet today. I really need to shift this weight.

OP posts:
Echoes89 · 19/02/2022 08:29

Ouch, hopefully you're ankle doesn't hurt too much.
I know if I'm in pain, I have a tendency to sit on the sofa and munch on junk food, it can derail me massively. Even though you've gained I think sometimes you just have to try not let the disappointment get to you and try to look forward at just doing your best.(I know this is harder said than done)
I lost a couple of stone just before lockdown over 3/4 months then put it all back on plus more.
It took me a while to remotivate myself, but I'm now weighing a little less than I did pre lockdown

ShinyPikachu · 19/02/2022 22:08

I'm finally starting to feel more human now so will be weighing again on Monday. I know I must have gained with how often that bug made me want to eat though. It was really odd as normally I'm in bed and DH is having to remind me to eat something but this time you couldn't get me out the kitchen.

I think a good lot of us need a very unMNetty group hug right now.

jeshka07 · 20/02/2022 03:16

Hi I'm hoping I can join in here please? I have over 10 stone to lose. I am only 5 foot so am starting to find its affecting my mobility as well as increasingly feeling the effects on my heart and chest for sure. I need to get serious about shifting some weight because I have 2 small children who I want to be able to enjoy life with. I am starting on a sort of kick start week tomorrow. I need to reset my eating habits totally!!
It feels like such an unachievable goal but i need to do something. Thank you and hope everyone is getting on OK. Any top tips for someone with a big goal? Xx
