Anyone else with 10st plus to lose?

HerRoyalHappiness · 28/12/2021 11:07

Im 30 and I weigh 19st 7lb.

Ideally I'd like to lose 10st. I'm obese and I hate it.
I started again dieting yesterday.

I can only manage 5000 steps a day due to being disabled, and I do those with a frame.

I'm hopeful that if I lose the weight there'll be less pressure on my already buggered joints.

Anyone else with a lot to lose would you like a daily check in thread with me?

I had a bad day yesterday, horribly stressful and ate a packet of cookies. My poor guys gave me such a telling off for the assault upon them, I’m in no hurry to repeat the exercise.

Going to take the dog out in a bit before a light, healthy lunch.

Neverknowinglyunderfed · 26/01/2022 06:51

Early start for me with the kids 🙈
Jumped on the scales for this week's weigh-in and a 4lb loss for me. Really chuffed with that as I'm down a stone since the New Year. First time I've seen a '16' on the scales in a long time too.
I've got a big celebration weekend, weekend after next so I'm hoping for another good week this week and then I'll look forward to having a couple of love meals and some wine.
Have a great day ladies!

HerRoyalHappiness · 26/01/2022 08:11

Well done! That's fab.

Well done @Neverknowinglyunderfed!

Sorry I've not been around much. I've been pretty ill this week, mostly stuck in bed and it's been a case of eating whatever doesn't require any effort and make me feel sick. Yesterday was basically a macaroni pie, huge cream meringue and a large packed of sour cream and onion snacks and that was it. I wasn't even hungry but DH insisted I had to eat something. Funnily enough the meringue was the one thing this week that didn't make me feel sick afterwards.

Cheeky midweek weigh in to see how ill I've been and I'm down 3lb in two days so pretty much back at my starting weight.

I took my amitriptyline last night to try to get some decent sleep which worked but I'm not sure how I'll be once I start eating again today. I haven't counted anything this week so trying to decide when to start doing that again.

veevee04 · 27/01/2022 08:10

Monthly weigh in was 10lb loss overall which isn't too bad over 50 percent of my excess weight gone BMI of 41.3 to now 32.5 since September aiming for a BMI of 24 by August.

HerRoyalHappiness · 27/01/2022 08:15

@veevee04 that's fantastic. We'll done!

I had a takeaway last night and still woke up 2lb lighter than yesterday Grin

That’s incredible!
ShinyPikachu · 27/01/2022 11:59

Well done @veevee04 and @HerRoyalHappiness

I'm at the same weight today as yesterday so I'm starting to count again today as I'm feeling better when I eat, although my hunger still isn't back so I'm going to take that as a sign and hope I stay used to smaller amounts. 😂

So far breakfast was a coffee (DD used all the milk this morning and I ran out of eggs yesterday and I didn't fancy toast. 🙈) and lunch was a crusty roll with cheese, and another coffee. Not sure what dinner will be but defo need some veg on my plate so I might do a cauliflower/broccoli cheese for me and cheesy pasta for the kids. Grocery shopping tomorrow so I need to stock up on fruit and stuff for snacks again.

Longingforatikihut · 29/01/2022 07:47

13lb lighter! I've had a few trips (been sitting exams so a little stress eating) but got back on track. I had wanted to reach 1 stone by tomorrow but I'm so close I'm still going to count it as a win if I don't quite make it. Bring on fabulous February!

HerRoyalHappiness · 29/01/2022 12:49

I'm under 19st!
I am Down to 18st 12.
I'm so happy Grin

Weigh in day today.
1 1/2lbs down. I'm happy with that. Total loss to date is 2st 8 1/2 lbs.
I'm beginning to find some clothes, mainly tops, are not sitting well on my shoulders. Trouble is, I really don't want to be spending a fortune on new clothes just yet, as I still have a long way to go.

The charity shop is your friend. You're doing great blue plan.

@HerRoyalHappiness well done! Can't wait to broach the next number bracket. Alas I started on a whole stone so have a whole stone to go before I'm down.

JakeyRolling · 30/01/2022 11:19

Despite being spot on all week I put on 0.5lb, which was really dispiriting

HerRoyalHappiness · 30/01/2022 11:33

@JakeyRolling don't get disheartened. You'd have to eat 3500 extra calories to put on 1lb, so it's more than likely you're retaining water from not drinking enough, due time of the month, ate particularly salty food yesterday or something like that. I very much doubt you've over consumed by 1750 calories to gain half a pound

I put on 3kg. I keep over eating Sad

FairyLightQueen · 30/01/2022 18:17

Hello, I'm new here. Also got 10st+ to lose.

I started losing weight about two weeks ago and have since lost about 1.5 stone. I know weight comes off quickly at the beginning if you are bigger - can anyone give feedback on when it started to even out to a healthy 1-2lb a week? Mindful that I don't want to crash my body! Thanks x

HerRoyalHappiness · 30/01/2022 18:21

@FairyLightQueen welcome. I've no idea as my weight hasn't really evened out. I either stay the same or have quite a big drop. Hopefully it will settle soon.

FairyLightQueen · 30/01/2022 18:25

Thank you! It's a bit of a minefield isn't it. I'm currently 21.5stone. at 5ft, hoping to get down to 9stone. So quite a bit to go!

HerRoyalHappiness · 30/01/2022 18:40

You've got this! We didn't become obese overnight and we won't get to a healthy weight ivernight. It's going to take hard work, determination and acceptance that some days are just fuck it days.
But we absolutely can do this.

DollyDingleberry · 31/01/2022 07:50

Morning all, sorry I fell of the thread I had a bit of a work disaster so last week was nuts. I managed to stick to LCHF though and I’m another 2lbs down, so half a stone in 2 weeks :)

How is everyone else getting on?

ShinyPikachu · 31/01/2022 08:47

Well done on the losses!!!

Un-MNetty hugs to those who have gained. Please don't see it as a failure though, it's just a little bump in the road. I've still gained more than I've lost so far but I'm determined that this time is the time I stick to it.

I had my weigh in this morning, lost 2.2lb this week. I didn't count anything at all, but I did think about my food more and made sure to stock up on healthier options when I went shopping so I think that's helped.

Back to tracking everything this week because if I don't, I know I'll get back into bad habits.

I've also decided I'll do my measurements once a month on the 1st. I won't see much change if I do them weekly but that's still regularly enough for me to track them. Smile

RunningInTheWind · 31/01/2022 09:13

I’ve not weighed in this morning as last week was a shit show and I feel bloated.

But writing this so the thread doesn’t disappear from my “I’m on” list.

No specific reason for the crap last week. Just seemed to be ravenously hungry the whole time.

elliejjtiny · 31/01/2022 10:13

Disaster for me this week. Counted calories but not carbs and I put on 5lbs. Clearly I need to do low carbing but it's so hard. Has anyone got any alternative to toast to dip in a boiled egg? I think breakfast is the thing I struggle with most at the moment. I've tried omlettes and scrambled egg but not as nice as boiled.

ShinyPikachu · 31/01/2022 10:17

@elliejjtiny - would asparagus work for you? I love asparagus and egg together and as long as it doesn't go too floppy it's easy to dip.

RunningInTheWind · 31/01/2022 11:14

Courgette fries dunked in egg and Parmesan fried and dipped in your egg. Too good.
