Hi, here's the new thread for November.

Starting out at 8st9.75 this month. Obviously not a normal month. Personal aim is to eat more healthily and get my energy back.

Everyone is doing so well amidst lots of ups and downs in an already tough time. Hope things at work improve nutella. LBB 7 lbs off ideal is amazing, tho not always easy!
Logging for the day here.
Ono with cappuccino
Brocoli nutty fried rice
Chicken casserole with broccoli and butternut squash, delicious.
Need to get another half litre of water in but spaced it well over the day.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 24/11/2021 21:47

I’m just over 10,000 steps, but have eaten very erratically. No breakfast, soup for lunch, then a Christmas tree crumpet and a mince pie! Dinner was chicken, roast veg, and mashed potatoes.

10/8 here this morning. My ideal weight is 10/3ish so I don’t know why I can’t just screw the nut and drop five stupid pounds! My friend has lost almost 100lb this year and looks like a completely different person.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 24/11/2021 21:59

100lbs ShockShock wowzers. Five pounds sounds doable for sure, might take you 5-10 weeks but that's not far. I'm saying that trying to be patient myself!!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 24/11/2021 22:41

She has done amazingly - she’s gone from a 22 to a 14. She always looked great though.

DP is my problem because he is a big snacker and loves sweet stuff. And I am weak! He is away for the first two weeks of December and I reckon that will make it much easier for me because if it’s not here I won’t even think about it.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 24/11/2021 22:44

You're not weak, it's a drug!! Definitely is for me anyway. Tell dh to hide them! Honestly, that works here. I realised today that despite my falls along the way this time, I haven't bought a single thing in almost 5 weeks. That's a NSV I'll be counting!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 24/11/2021 22:58

It’s actually better now he is in the office most days - we got into a really bad habit of a “proper afternoon break” with a cafetière of coffee and cake/biscuits! I think food just became such a BIG DEAL in the lockdowns - planning nice meals, cooking, eating - because there was nothing else to do.

Octopus37 · 25/11/2021 07:18

The thing is food is a pleasure. I dont enjoy cooking or meal planning, but enjoy nice food, which includes sweet stuff. You sound as if you're doing fine. No weigh in for me today. Steps not quite good enough, food mixed.

OP posts:
HeyGirlHeyBoy · 25/11/2021 08:48

That's it exactly, it's a pleasure and v true re it being a focus point during lockdown. Those afternoon breaks sound lovely tho!
3 meals, water and 10.30 bed. Weigh tomorrow.

TheHoneyBadger · 25/11/2021 09:11

Nutella - yes that sounds entirely familiar. It's not the crazy teens for me, they're why I do it, it's definitely the system.

I have been absent due to bad reaction to my booster. Seems to get worse with each shot for me.

Yesterday I was 12:4 which seems nuts - that would be 9lb loss in November already Confused Not getting too attached to that number but it would be nice. No weigh in today - might weigh tomorrow.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 25/11/2021 09:36

10/9 here today. I had crisps last night

Wow @TheHoneyBadger that's a great loss!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 25/11/2021 10:51

Wow wow Honeybadger! That's amazing. Well done.

LBB2020 · 25/11/2021 13:11

Well done @TheHoneyBadger that’s amazing! Hope you’re feeling better after your booster. My DH is the same @Judystilldreamsofhorses, he came home yesterday with a bag of M&S orange chocolates for me which although is lovely of him is a huge temptation for me! I have so far resisted!

LBB2020 · 25/11/2021 13:12

Food was good yesterday, I stuck to 3 meals no snacks. No enough steps or water!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 25/11/2021 18:45

Well done lbb, that's definitely the winning formula for me! Logging for today.
Ono with cappuccino
Roast med veg with feta
Carbonara with broccoli and cheddar
Water high average Grin

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 26/11/2021 07:31

Back to 9st1.5 here a week later. I'm disappointed that one dreadful day has set me back to that extent. Had a great 5 days since and lots of exercise.. Oh well. Will keep on and maybe this time I'm going to lose very slowly but main thing is the change to food habits. Happy Friday all!
3 meals and water only aims today.

Octopus37 · 26/11/2021 07:45

Slowly but surely is the best way @HeyGirlHeyBoy. @TheHoneyBadger Sorry to hear on your reaction to the booster, hope you are feeling better now. Well done on your weight loss, that's amazing.

DH and I went out for a pub meal last night, weighed in this morning, 9st0.25, hoping its just water as its happened so many times before.

OP posts:
TheHoneyBadger · 26/11/2021 08:49

12:4.4 today so seems to be sticking.

It offsets the months when I've been stuck or lost very small amounts. Just hope it's sustainable as slow and steady has been the key for me throughout. I've now lost over 3st in a year and a half and have between 1.5 and 2 left to lose depending how I feel when I get there.

TheHoneyBadger · 26/11/2021 08:51

Sorry - yes been pretty wiped out by the booster. I had a rough time after the second vaccine and worse this time. I just seem to have a very exaggerated reaction. I'm told I used to react strongly to vaccines as a kid too. My immune system is a bit amped up I guess.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 26/11/2021 08:52

10/7 here after 17000 steps yesterday. You’ve done amazingly @TheHoneyBadger and should be so proud of yourself.

NutellaEllaElla · 26/11/2021 10:33

Finally I'm back to the top of my target weight range. Just in time for a slew of Christmas markets, parties and other festivities 😬😂

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 26/11/2021 14:28

Yay. Well done Nutella!

LBB2020 · 26/11/2021 19:42

Still 10st5lbs today, was hoping I might have lost maybe a lb this week but never mind at least I’ve not gained!
We’re having a takeaway for dinner tonight and I’m meeting friends for lunch tomorrow which I’m really looking forward to! (I’ve not really been since DS2 was born and he’s 14 months now!). Hope everyone has a good evening

Octopus37 · 27/11/2021 09:10

No weight in for me today. Didn't go out at all yesterday cause I had to wait in for a delivery and the weather was awful. Takeaway last night. Aiming to get more steps in and eat marginally better today, I'm setting the bar low.

OP posts:
Judystilldreamsofhorses · 27/11/2021 13:03

10/7 for me today. Did 16,000 steps yesterday but not planning on leaving the house over the weekend. We were in the “red zone” for the storm and have a few extra trees in our garden today!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 27/11/2021 14:08

Up early and out for some exercise this morning. Protein high brunch and off to get my hair done now. Need more water later!! I definitely won't be stepping on the scales any weekend octopus. Well done on steps judy.
