Hi, here's the new thread for November.

Starting out at 8st9.75 this month. Obviously not a normal month. Personal aim is to eat more healthily and get my energy back.

NutellaEllaElla · 14/11/2021 11:02

Ooh I love greek food. There's a really nice Greek place near me but I was disappointed to figure that it is more calorific than I had hoped. It just seemed healthier than it is. Not that I can't go, but I can't go as often as I would like! At least Tzatziki is healthy Grin

I'm thinking of buying a treadmill off facebook marketplace. You can get some really good value post lockdown equipment.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 14/11/2021 12:44

I shroud not have weighed this morning after the Thai food - 3lb up. I took a couple of Aqua Ban tablets and now my stomach really hurts.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 14/11/2021 19:53

Logging for the day, totally full. Not feeling wonderful, only managed 7k steps. Oh well.
Berries and natural yoghurt and cappuccino
Chicken crumble with veg and v small portion mash
3 egg omlette with tomatoes, mushrooms and cheddar.
I have done OK with water. I probably could have eaten less today, with not much effort. But look, no junk, three good meals and I have found eating plenty one day means less likely to cave the next, and vice versa. I've learned over those months that trying and getting it right some/most of the time is better than not trying at all. Plan to weigh on Tues/Weds. I'm exhausted for some reason so my 10.30 bed plan won't be difficult.

Octopus37 · 15/11/2021 07:49

They sound like good meals @HeyGirlHeyBoy. @NutellaEllaElla know what you mean about the calories in Greek food, unfortunately the counts were on the menu, I wouldn't have wanted to work it out. 8st12.25 this morning, reasonable steps over the weekend.

OP posts:
HeyGirlHeyBoy · 15/11/2021 08:13

Busy day ahead. Simple aims: 3 meals, no junk, 2.5L water, bed before 11. All meals planned and ready, as it happens.

TheHoneyBadger · 15/11/2021 09:01

No weigh in today - had a bit of a chocolate fest for the first time in ages yesterday - 2 gold bars and a fair few teaspoons of nutella.

Will weigh in tomorrow. Today is lots of water and low cal intake.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 15/11/2021 11:03

10/8 today. Meals are porridge, soup, then a small portion of chicken satay curry with rice - I made this yesterday and it is probably very calorific between the coconut milk and the peanut butter, but also very delicious! I didn't leave the house yesterday so only managed 7,000 steps, and need to do better today.

LadyDanburysHat · 15/11/2021 12:01

Well done @NutellaEllaElla

@TheHoneyBadger take care of yourself.

I went out for dinner Friday night and ate so much my stomach hurt, Just not used to big portions any more. Also ended up out for lunch on Saturday. But I spent 90 mins in the gym and walked to lunch and back. Around 4.5 miles. So I did 22k step on Saturday. Had a headache all day yesterday and felt exhausted.

I have ended up looking forward to todays fast day to clear away the weekend. 11st 9.5 this morning, not too bad after the heavy eating.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 15/11/2021 17:40

Wow LadyDanbury, that's amazing exercise. Hope you enjoyed your lovely meals. I tried to recreate my Saturday meal out today for work lunch lol. Logging now and heading out for an hour's tennis.
Berries, Greek yoghurt and cappuccino
Falafels, guacamole, hummus and rocket
Roast chicken dinner with roast veg and potatoes.
Had a good bit of water but will get another litre in.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 15/11/2021 17:42

Sounds delicious Judy and I'd never do 7k steps if I stayed at home! In fact the 10k a day was just a gimmicky amount, and 7k is more correct re minimum number, so I've heard.

TheHoneyBadger · 16/11/2021 07:10

12:7.7. November is my month it seems. 5lbs lost so far. Making up for no loss last month.

Going out for lunch with my sister today but will try and pick something light.

Octopus37 · 16/11/2021 07:37

Wow @TheHoneyBadger that's fantastic. @LadyDanburysHat that's fantastic exercise. I haven't weighed this morning, did so so yesterday, but not really enough steps. Aiming to do more today. I'm going out for a meal with DH and his nephew today, but not planning to drink cause I've got a busy work day tomorrow. I've managed to get accepted by a writing website as well, I'm pleased but a bit nervous.

Amazing Honeybadger and massive well done octopus! Very exciting!
I'm 9st2.25 this morning. Delighted with that after period etc. Keeps me going. Slow and steady.
Water, three meals, no junk.

TheHoneyBadger · 16/11/2021 08:44

Congratulations octopus. Throw that imposter syndrome out the window.

Well done heygirl.

Fast loss is very unusual for me but I’m not complaining

LadyDanburysHat · 16/11/2021 09:08

Good morning all. Fast day yesterday. Todays weight is 11st 8.7 still suffering the after effects of my overeating weekend, haha.

Short gym workout last night as I didn't get there until late.

@Octopus37 what exciting news, congratulations!
@TheHoneyBadger I think I'm the same as you. November is my month.

LBB2020 · 16/11/2021 11:38

@TheHoneyBadger you’re doing amazing!
Well done @Octopus37 Smile
Yesterday wasn’t too bad, trying to stick to eating between 11am-7pm. I did however forget and had a couple of handfuls of popcorn once the children were in bed. Didn’t get in nearly enough steps, I think my Fitbit said around 5,000. Working again today so probably won’t get in many steps Sad not eaten yet but I might have some porridge as it’s pretty chilly today!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 16/11/2021 15:23

10/8 for me again today. I got so hungry yesterday afternoon I had two rice cakes with peanut butter, then a mince pie after dinner - whoops! Also annoyed at myself as I did 9935 steps. So close.

Today I've had porridge, chicken noodle soup, and two Waitrose dark chocolate and ginger thin things - they are so lovely and about 40 calories each. However tonight we have pasta on the menu.

What do you write, octopus? That sounds exciting!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 16/11/2021 15:42

I have also had word of a little sideline earner today! Smile

Logging now.
Porridge made on milk with blueberries, cappuccino
Falafels, salad, hummus and guacamole
Carbonara with a heap of rocket

NutellaEllaElla · 16/11/2021 20:23

Ooh I love carbonara.

I had chicken noodle soup as well today.

Well done @Octopus37, how validating!

And that's bloody AMAZING @TheHoneyBadger!

@HeyGirlHeyBoy, you've been doing well, nice consistent loss.

I'm doing ok. Could be better, but could definitely be worse Grin. I've not been as strict as I could have been but fuck it, it's not that bad and at least I haven't given up. Work is stressful. We deal with a lot in life. We're doing well just to get by as it is, let alone working on self improvement.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 16/11/2021 21:38

Absolutely Nutella! Agree completely!

Octopus37 · 17/11/2021 07:10

Thanks for the congrats, just hoping it will work out, alongside my other work @Judystilldreamsofhorses I've recently done a copywriting course. Think I will be writing about a wide range of subjects for this website, but in the longer term I'm aiming to focus on writing for the food/retail/merchandising sectors as this ties in with my work, fingers crossed. @HeyGirlHeyBoy your side earner sounds exciting. Not great on the food front yesterday, ate loads of carbs cause felt headachey and sick, I'm nearing the end of the progesterone part of my HRT. Went out to see my DH's nephew last night, had fish and chips, but it wasn't a huge portion. Will weigh tomorrow.

OP posts:
HeyGirlHeyBoy · 17/11/2021 08:18

That sounds like a really exciting sector Octopus. We were both completing our courses at the same time I think. Mine isba very minor thing as I just can't fitin more at the moment but at least the option is there perhaps in the future. I cannot seem to get enough water despite very much drinking lots through the day! Woke up with a dehydration headache :/ Central heating doesn't help.
Goals: three meals, WATER, bed by 10.30, no junk. I have an hour's tennis this evening which is super. Have a great day all. I will keep to Fri/Tues weigh.

LadyDanburysHat · 17/11/2021 09:46

@HeyGirlHeyBoy great news for you too. And @Octopus37 that does sound very exciting indeed.

I ate too much yesterday, don't even know why. Weight is still 11st 8.7 today. I'm happy with how it is going for me.

I don't feel well today, felt dizzy turning over in bed before I even got up. So don't really feel like eating. Not sure what is causing it, but hope it doesn't last.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 17/11/2021 11:08

That sounds great @Octopus37 - I actually teach copywriting as one of my modules! I do bits on the side but it is more academic stuff.

You guys are all so good focussing on water. I never drink it. I am a proper tea Jenny, especially at home - that counts a bit, right?

@LadyDanburysHat hope you feel better soon.

10/8 still today. I am really hanging out for DP going on this work trip and a fortnight of soup and salad. He is WFH today and went to the baker earlier and came back with all sorts. If it’s not here, I can’t eat it, but if it is, it is much harder.

LBB2020 · 17/11/2021 12:12

That does sound exciting @Octopus37!
I didn’t do too bab with food yesterday (apart from DH coming home with an orange chocolate donut for me which I couldn’t turn down Blush it was delicious!), not enough steps or water!
Today is going ok so far but WFH again so I won’t get it many steps. Will weigh in on Friday. Keep going everyone!
