Hi, here's the new thread for November.

Starting out at 8st9.75 this month. Obviously not a normal month. Personal aim is to eat more healthily and get my energy back.

15000 steps today - have done 11,000 a day M - W. But still 10/9. Eating not too awful:

B - porridge
L - two eggs scrambled with half a slice of ham (the cat had the other half) on one slice of toast
D - slice of quiche, half a tin of beans, small portion of skinny fry type oven chips. And less good a small slice of cherry loaf cake.

I am not a snack-y person but we have got into a really bad habit of something sweet after dinner. DP is away for work for two weeks at the start of December and I think it will be SO much easier for me then. I could easily do a fortnight of porridge/soup/soup on my own but I feel like shared mealtimes are really important.

TheHoneyBadger · 12/11/2021 06:09

Thanks. I’m ok. Been wobbly for various reasons lately but hanging in there by my fingernails.

12:9 bang on today.

Octopus37 · 12/11/2021 07:17

Take care @TheHoneyBadger. @Judystilldreamsofhorses well done with your steps. 8st12.5 here, not enough steps this week, plus I've still been quite hungry from being ill. I wouldnt mind loosing a bit over the next few weeks, cause I know I'll put a bit on at Christmas. Last year it took me till June to loose my Christmas weight lol

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 12/11/2021 07:30

You have been amazing with your loss octopus, in my eyes. Holding steady a long time but not slashing tyres and now steadily below 9. That is my aim. Honeybadger, I hope you're OK and can have a nice weekend.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 12/11/2021 07:32

Oops, 9st 3 here, 4.5lbs down from 3 weeks ago. Delighted and day 2 period so good going.

LadyDanburysHat · 12/11/2021 08:56

@HeyGirlHeyBoy that's great news. Periods really make weight loss difficult. Men have it so easy!

11st 7.2 this morning after my fast day. I know it will creep up over the weekend, but there is some real loss there. And my horrible sticky out bits, over the front of my lower hips is starting to go. Don't really know how to explain this, but I'm sure most of you will know what I mean.

LBB2020 · 12/11/2021 09:38

I decided to weigh as I thought it will help give me a kick up the bum! Also I get into the ignorance is bliss state of mind quickly/what I don’t know won’t hurt! I’m 10st5lbs so 1lb gain this week, not as bad as I thought!

LBB2020 · 12/11/2021 09:45

@HeyGirlHeyBoy and @LadyDanburysHat you are both doing amazing and seem to have found a way of eating that suits you!
I’m the same @Octopus37, would love to shift a few lbs by Christmas as I know I’ll gain over the festive period. Keep going @Judystilldreamsofhorses I bet all of a sudden you’ll have a big loss!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 12/11/2021 16:26

LBB2020 I was going to say I'd weigh just to keep yourself in check as I ignored the scales for months but hey, a pound, no problem to you!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 12/11/2021 16:47

Happy Friday everyone! 10/8 this morning here, and 12,000 steps as I write this at almost 5pm. 10/3 or 10/4ish is my fighting weight so it is annoying just to be that wee bit over (for a year).

TheHoneyBadger · 12/11/2021 21:10

I'm always stunned by people's steps. I've been to work where I was all over the place and did 20 flights of stairs according to fitbit, then walked ds to hairdresser and back and have burned over 1900 calories already yet have apparently only done 6000 steps.

Don't know how people have the time or space to managed 10k+

Just realised I haven't eaten and should do. I think stress and grief and such has seen me not eating regularly and I don't want to let it go too far so off to make myself something to eat.

NutellaEllaElla · 12/11/2021 21:48

Sorry to hear you're having such a tough time @TheHoneyBadger, look after yourself x

I've been a bit snack happy today which i'm not impressed about.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 12/11/2021 23:13

@TheHoneyBadger on days I am in work I walk there (30 minutes each way) then am on my feet and pacing about while teaching. I’m up at 15k now, and 16 flights of stairs. Even on a day not leaving the house I clock up about 6,000 - I am a fidget!

Take good care of yourself - I hope you made yourself something lovely to eat and have had a relaxing evening.

TheHoneyBadger · 13/11/2021 06:52

Thanks.

12:8.5 this morning. November is going well for weight.

Octopus37 · 13/11/2021 08:40

@TheHoneyBadger try and look after yourself if you can, take care. @HeyGirlHeyBoy I had Chinese last night and have started a period, so was 9st0.25 this morning. TBH going to cut down on weighing myself to every other day, getting a bit sick of the daily thing. Off to meet my bestie to go shopping today, lots of steps, but probably lots of food too. Really looking forward to it. Hope everyone has a good day.

1lb down this week despite being a leetle flexible with my calorie target. Awesome! (I know 1lb is plenty but am still impatient and wish it was more Grin)

TheHoneyBadger · 13/11/2021 08:54

Well done Nutella a pound IS good 👍

Have fun octopus.

I’ve taken the dog out for a brisk half hour walk to get some fresh air and exercise. I’ve been a bit of a cave dweller lately so yes need to take a bit better care of myself.

Have a ton of marking and reports to do before Monday but will try and fit in some self care too.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 13/11/2021 08:57

Lovely octopus, enjoy. I am having a similar, and rare, day with a pal Smile I had a slice of homemade, by oh, cake last night and a few biscuits but I'm not going to regret or despair, I think I'm better with 2/3 weighs a week octopus, it allows the ups and downs of the week a bit more I think.
Berries, nuts, banana and natural yoghurt with cappuccino
Lunch out
Omlette perhaps for tea.
Honeybadger, hope you are giving yourself every kindness.. Unless I am exercising or make a point of walking I wouldn't hit the steps on a normal day.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 13/11/2021 09:00

Water reminder for all, as I have definitely not been hitting this target. Aimjn for 3L today to make up a bit!

LBB2020 · 13/11/2021 09:07

Sorry to hear you’re having a hard time @TheHoneyBadger look after yourself.
We had a Chinese takeaway last night too, was lovely but I feel really bloated this morning! Taking the DC to a wildlife park today so there will be lots of walking (and running around after DS1 who darts off at every opportunity Grin). Hope everyone has a great day x

LBB2020 · 13/11/2021 09:09

Thank you for the reminder @HeyGirlHeyBoy I’ve been terrible at remembering to drink water and it shows, my skin looks very dull (lack of sleep doesn’t help either!)

NutellaEllaElla · 13/11/2021 09:15

Yes water water water thank you!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 13/11/2021 11:26

10/7 today, but we are off to a Thai place for dinner. Hope everyone has lovely days!

Octopus37 · 14/11/2021 09:41

Had an amazing day yesterday, went out to the Real Greek for a meal mid afternoon and had a couple of drinks later slightly hunger over but worth it. Hope everyone manages to have a nice Sunday

OP posts:
HeyGirlHeyBoy · 14/11/2021 10:27

That's great news Octopus. I also had a delicious lunch out, no idea of calories but fabulous - falafels, quinoa, guacamole, hummus, butternut squash... A total me meal. Still couldn't get as much water in as would have liked.
So, another water reminder for me today. No junk, bed by 10.30. Have a lovely Sunday all.
