Hi, here's the new thread.

So after a good loss last week, I am up, 9st 3.5. That said, I am down 1.75 since the beginning of June. Hope we get some decent weather again this month.

Hope everyone had a good weekend and that your dad is doing well @Octopus37.
I ate a bit too much chocolate over the weekend but definitely not as much as I had been! I’m going to try to start with some exercise this week and really make an effort to drink more water!

FlatteredFool · 12/07/2021 07:34

Please can I rejoin? I've had a week is isolations and therefore no walking any have had a hungry month. I'm now 65.55kg and absolutely disgusted with myself.

FlatteredFool · 12/07/2021 07:37

Oh gosh octopus I've just read your posts about your dad. I hope he's ok.

TheHoneyBadger · 12/07/2021 08:39

Welcome back. You’ll soon be back on track flattered. Let’s not use words like disgusted about our bodies or weight though.

I had a weekend of takeaway and crap food and beer but came out having lost a pound since the Sunday previous. Without the slack weekend it would’ve been more but hey ho.

LBB2020 · 12/07/2021 09:43

Well done @TheHoneyBadger

FlatteredFool · 12/07/2021 10:16

Well done Smile
I'm feeling so fed up but I do feel better for being active this morning. Last week I got no exercise and it's no good for my body or mind. I've eaten far too much in general lately but too much salty stuff and too much chocolate.

FlatteredFool · 12/07/2021 12:33

Dd is isolating today and requested to watch her favourite show during her lunch break so I'm bouncing on my ball as we watchSmile

NutellaEllaElla · 12/07/2021 19:11

Struggling to reign myself in lately. Thought i'd eat my feelings in chocolate this evening, AF is due. Let's hope that has something to do with it but really that's a bit rich. Fuck it, it happens sometimes doesn't it.

TheHoneyBadger · 12/07/2021 19:13

It does Nutella. I ate all manner of fatty salty crap this weekend. No one died.

FlatteredFool · 12/07/2021 19:37

It does indeed. Most days for the past month for me. I blame perimenopause and a complete lack of self control. I'm usually pretty good but I feel like I've totally let myself go. I've had a good day today and am not eating now that I've had dinner. I've logged e writhing on MFP and that will help keep me in check. Not eating after dinner makes such a big difference to my weight and bloating but I've not been able to manage it at all lately. I've clocked over 10 miles of walking today and eaten 1400 calories. I burnt 700 exercise calories but I never trust that. I've bounced a lot today whilst watching some tv, it keeps me from eating and is exercise so all good.

It's good to be back on here Smile

@FlatteredFool great to see you back. Thanks everyone for your thoughts re my Dad. Its been a gruelling few days. On Friday he stabilised and I travelled up to see him on Saturday. He wasn't too bad then, although still in ICU. About an hour after I left on Saturday he had another bleed. He had an aneurysm in the main artery in his liver. They managed to stop the bleeding, but as it is the main artery, time will tell whether his liver works properly again. It was a terrible procedure for him, he had it under local anaesthetic and it took 5 hours, seeing him after in ICU was awful, he said he ought to be dead. Me and my DSis were at the hospital from 7 on Sat night until 3 Sunday morning. My amazing Dad has at the moment beat the odds yet again, this is the 5th time that we have thought we were going to loose him over the past 22 years. He has eaten well today and it being transferred to a normal ward either tonight or tomorrow, just received that news on my way home. I am relieved but scared to let myself believe that things are going to be ok, cause they can change so quickly. He is a scrap of a thing, probably weighs less than me and will need building up, although he has been very thin for some time. His pacemaker has been working well which is great. Arrived home about an hour ago. Hope everyone has had a good day. Good news that another heatwave is coming.

It's great to be back and I've done really well today so I feel good that I've broken that cycle of eating, guilt, more eating, more guilt, vowing to do better tomorrow etc. If nothing else I need to stick to intermittent fasting. That's key for my success and how I feel about myself.

Octopus that sounds really positive news about your dad. He obviously has the constitution of an ox to have survived so many things against the odds. Moving him to a normal ward is fantastic progress. Here's hoping he continues to go from strength to strengthThanks

My eldest is now isolating following a positive case in her year group. It's chaos at their school. I don't think there's one complete year group in at the moment. They didn't have any cases for weeks and weeks from March but now it's rife.

Sleep tight everyone.

FlatteredFool · 13/07/2021 07:03

Morning all. 64.7kg this morning. Not sure how that happened.

Octopus37 · 13/07/2021 07:39

Thanks @FlatteredFool, sorry your Son has got to self isolate. 9st this morning,

TheHoneyBadger · 13/07/2021 08:18

Fingers crossed for his liver being ok octopus.

13st4 again here. Could do with a whoosh.

FlatteredFool · 13/07/2021 18:09

I had a big lunch, well, a halloumi and beetroot baguette and crisps and have felt really bloated since. The good news is though that I don't want any dinner Grin

TheHoneyBadger · 13/07/2021 19:12

Similar here. I had blue cheese and salami on fresh tiger bread and a couple of mini green and black choc bars (leftover from making gift bags for colleagues for end of term) and now don't feel like I need dinner. I rarely eat bread but wondering if I should reconsider as it's definitely filling.

NutellaEllaElla · 13/07/2021 19:42

I won't be weighing myself for at least a week or two. DH is up half a stone which I suspect is the same for me too.

I achieved my water goal for the first time in a while today and have kept a very low calorie count. Back on the wagon. Long may it continue.

NutellaEllaElla · 13/07/2021 21:24

Oh God. I got all excited about our 10th wedding anniversary party and booked a photographer to do a little update on the fun engagement shots we had before the wedding. Then it came to outfit planning and I don't feel great in any of them. Photos suck really don't they, no matter your weight.

Octopus37 · 14/07/2021 07:17

Agree about that re photos. I'm sure you look better than you think in your outfits. Lovely idea btw. Alternatively, you could go shopping.

9.0.25 this morning, caught up with a friend at my Son's football who I hadn't seen for a while, which was a lovely bonus yesterday. Dad still on the up, just hope it stays that way. Planning on going up for the day on Saturday.

TheHoneyBadger · 14/07/2021 08:27

13:3.2 this morning. Need to keep going and get a decent loss this week if I’m to meet my goal of under 13 this month.

Agree about photos. Some people know magic tricks but my face goes weird as soon as you point a camera at it. Carefully placed children are quite slimming though.

FlatteredFool · 14/07/2021 10:33

I hate all photos of me so I know what you mean.
I'm hungry this morning but have loads to do and I hope that will prevent me eating.

NutellaEllaElla · 14/07/2021 11:39

I'm storming my water target today.

WATER WATER WATER everybody Smile

FlatteredFool · 14/07/2021 12:00

Water water water = pee pee pee Grin
I'm bouncing on my ball and watching Broadchurch waiting for washing to finish. I'm so hungry though.

NutellaEllaElla · 14/07/2021 12:30

That's true, I can only do it when I know I'm near a loo at all times! 😄
