Hi, here's the new thread.

So after a good loss last week, I am up, 9st 3.5. That said, I am down 1.75 since the beginning of June. Hope we get some decent weather again this month.

Another bad food day yesterday, involving Dominoes, still 9st3.75. Will get back on track this week hopefully

I’ve eaten pretty badly all weekend Blush food shop arrived this morning so starting healthy eating tomorrow and hopefully some exercise too!

TheHoneyBadger · 04/07/2021 20:28

Never mind. New day tomorrow.

I had a migraine for a few hours today (luckily didn't go nuclear thanks to fast taking of meds and lying down) which has killed my appetite at least.

I don't like to say it because I'm still really fat but I think I can see and feel a slight difference in my shape around the middle now.

Octopus37 · 05/07/2021 07:08

New day for all of us. @TheHoneyBadger bet you can tell a massive difference, you've lost loads. Hope your migraine is better. 9st3.5 this morning, lots going on as ever, day ata a time.

13st3 here. A sudden drop. Hoping I can hang onto it. Work today then gym so maybe.

Not really octopus I just suddenly see a bit of difference perhaps because of the abs work. Still have a huge middle but I can see a dent in the sides of it. Hard to describe.

LadyDanburysHat · 05/07/2021 09:09

13st 6.25 today. Costco pizza for lunch on Saturday and fish and chips later, although I didn't have my own portion. Trying to up the exercise and went on two walks yesterday, totaling 10k.

Getting frustrated with myself for my inability to stick to my calories. Was supposed to give blood yesterday but my Hg levels were too low. I think that is down to dieting.

Favourite snacks here are strawberries and honeydew melon. I like the idea of making some overnight oats though. I also have chia seeds to add for the protein.

Octopus37 · 06/07/2021 07:19

@TheHoneyBadger thats great. @LadyDanburysHat as you can probably tell from this thread, I'm the worlds worst at sticking to calories, I end up very much taking the scenic route and not really loosing weight, but to me thats better than gaining I suppose.

I was 9st2.5 this morning. Bit stressed, got a bit of a difficult situation once again. My DS wants to fly out to Spain with his girlfriend when he moves out there and stay for 9 days (well he wants to stay for 12 but we have said no). Her Mum is ok with it, logistics are difficult to sort out, not least cause of COVID. DH thinks its ok and the best thing to do for his well being, but OMG I'm so worried about my little boy.

OP posts:
TheHoneyBadger · 06/07/2021 20:39

Ds is 14 and I thought your ds was about the same age Octopus? I'm not sure I'd want ds going and staying with a girlfriend and her family in another country even without covid tbh and I'd say I'm pretty laissez-faire in many ways on the parenting front so I think I can understand your concerns. I'd have thought a break, keep talking over internet but let them have time apart and adjust rather than ramp up the intensity would be the way to go? Apologies if I'm confused and you've got another ds. All sounds quite intense to me and what state will he be in when he gets back?

I was up by 0.8lbs today and wouldn't be surprised if up again tomorrow as I've had an incredibly lazy day just doing work at my laptop and even having an afternoon nap.

LBB2020 · 06/07/2021 21:25

I haven’t managed to stick to an eating window of 11-7 but I didn’t buy treats with the food shop so I haven’t gone crazy in the evenings. I’m going to buy some new scales at the weekend so will weigh in when I get them

Octopus37 · 07/07/2021 06:54

@TheHoneyBadger yes my DS is 14 the same as yours. After a lot of deliberation we have decided to let him go. I am meeting again with his girlfriend's Mum today to sort flights out.

Weighed in at 9st1.75 today, had my second jab yesterday. My Dad is in hospital cause he has a low heart rate, went in yesterday. He probably needs a pacemaker, but will have to be monitored first. Maybe just maybet one day there wont be as much going on.

Hi hi, I'm up 4lbs after a long weekend away (and a seriously lax few days beforehand). We're eating at a restaurant for DH's birthday this evening and I'm out for lunch with a friend Friday. I have eaten under my calorie target the last couple of days but I've got more work to do to counter balance I think.

NutellaEllaElla · 07/07/2021 10:55

Hope your dad gets better soon Octopus

Octopus37 · 07/07/2021 11:17

Thanks @NutellaEllaElla

Wow cannot believe its Thursday already. My Dad might be having his pacemaker fitted today. New low today, 9st0.5.

Hope everyone enjoyed the football today.

Nutella - have a lovely lunch. New day tomorrow.

I'm 13:3.8 - up on my lowest this week but still down on last week and weigh in is Sunday and getting under 13st is looking fairly viable for July.

I've had nearly a week on patches now and I can say flushes are definitely less intense and I seem to be sleeping better so far. Probably total coincidence or just connected to the sleeping better rather than a hormone thing but, touch wood, I haven't been feeling the need for late night snack attacks.

Octopus37 · 08/07/2021 10:00

Glad the patches are helping you @TheHoneyBadger

LadyDanburysHat · 08/07/2021 12:25

@Octopus37 I hope your Dad's op goes well today if it happens.

I have lost 2lbs this week after upping the exercise to counteract the overeating. I have found that if I eat even a little too much it encourages me to get out for a walk or something, so definite improvement in being more phsyical.

I now weight 13st 5.25. Not long until my first stone. Hoping next week.

TheHoneyBadger · 08/07/2021 14:10

Thanks Octopus - hoping to see continuing improvements. Sorry I skim read and missed about your Dad - hope it goes well.

Well done LadyD!

I'm being very lazy so far today but it's actually not raining and I haven't been to the gym this week as friend has been busy so 'should' get out for a decent walk. Not really feeling it though. I suspect that till the end of next Friday I'll just be in get to the end of term mode trying to plough through piles of work and stay sane and not having much energy or motivation for anything else.

Octopus37 · 08/07/2021 18:15

Thanks @LadyDanburysHat and @TheHoneyBadger. My Dad is still in hospital, he was meant to be having a pacemaker fitted today, but had some abominal pain meaning that he had to have a ct scan. Not sure whats next. Just want to eat carbs at the moment (just for a change lol), but hungrier today.

OP posts:
Octopus37 · 09/07/2021 08:07

Things have taken a turn for the worse with my Dad unfortunately. My Sister phoned me at 1.30 to tell me that he had taken a turn for the worse. They 're pretty sure there is blood in the abdominal fluid, but dont know where its coming from. They took him to ICU and have given him transfusions, trying to stabilise him. They have talked about doing an exploratoy operation but very risky. Probably going up North for a few days today.

OP posts:
NutellaEllaElla · 09/07/2021 08:53

Oh no, how worrying for you all.

TheHoneyBadger · 09/07/2021 16:03

So sorry octopus Sad

Octopus37 · 10/07/2021 07:42

Thanks, off up North this morning. He stabilised yesterday and they managed to fit a pacemaker. They still dont know whats causing the bleeding, but he's out of imminent danger. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

OP posts:
LBB2020 · 10/07/2021 08:14

Sorry to hear about your dad @Octopus37 but glad he’s now stabilised

TheHoneyBadger · 10/07/2021 10:26

Safe travels Octopus.

My weight is up today but to be expected - had chinese last night so salt and water bound to be a large part of it (she says hopefully). Off to the gym in an hour which might help.
