So sorry to hear the wedding news, bloody covid is ruining everything. Granddaughter in reception is missing last 2 weeks as teacher has covid.
I’m still stuck at 8st 10 but managing to be mindfully eating with lots of salad meals.
My graph line has been horizontal for ages!
Best wishes everyone x

Sooverthemill · 21/07/2021 09:57

DH keeps buying me gluten free treats which I don't want but dutifully eat. He is on 'holiday ' from his NHS job and he doesn't know what to do with himself. He is really bugging me!

purplegirl13 · 21/07/2021 10:31

So is there any chance he will be ok with DD for a bit and you can get out for a short walk?

purplegirl13 · 21/07/2021 16:53

Quick post to say l wore a dress this afternoon which made me look 2 months pregnant vs 8 months pregnant when I wore the dress last summer. Progress

P.s I have never been pregnant

Now I'm off to have an ice cream....

Hope you are all ok

Knittingnanny · 21/07/2021 17:00

I’m going to up the dieting for ten days! Got a “ staycation” to enjoy aug 2-4 , a sort of dress rehearsal for the newest carnival cruise ship! It’s only going up and down the Solent where we live but it’s a real treat! A bargain at £60 each
We did dither re covid but it’s only for double jabbed guests, beg test required at the port terminal and less than 50% capacity so going to risk it
Need to be able to eat with pleasure and without undoing the good work so far hence a lot of calorie counting til then

purplegirl13 · 21/07/2021 17:24

knitting oooh.... that sounds lovely! Yes, definitely get yourself in check now so you can fully enjoy! Has all the chocolate in the house finally gone?

Knittingnanny · 21/07/2021 18:53

Yes all gone! He has been playing with new retirement toy this week, paddle board and we have had a salad picnic at the the beach 4 nights in a row!
Unfortunately when we get home I want cheese and crackers!

Knittingnanny · 22/07/2021 15:54

Well that was short lived! Guess who didn’t realise his passport only had 4 months left on it? Even for sailing in uk waters you need 6 months
Oh well maybe I need a big icecream on the beach to get over the disappointment

Morningmaeve · 22/07/2021 23:09

Oh no! What a shame @Knittingnanny. I am having a shocker of a week - just can’t stop eating…

Knittingnanny · 22/07/2021 23:10

@Morningmaeve we are waiting to find out if p and o will accept 4 months as it doesn’t go out of uk waters, but not hopeful.

Morningmaeve · 22/07/2021 23:14

Fingers crossed for you.

BlodwinTheThird · 23/07/2021 09:01

Keeping fingers crossed @Knittingnanny!

Knittingnanny · 23/07/2021 10:56

It’s back on!!! They will accept 4 months left on passport as it’s only going up and down the ( our!!) sea front
What a palaver for 2 nights !
Salad today again!
I weighed in at 8 st 9.5 this morning so I’ve lost a massive 1/2 a pound in 5 weeks!!!

EdwinaLIzzard · 23/07/2021 11:00

@Knittingnanny I have fingers and toes crossed that P&O will accept your passport

I have weighed in a 9stone 13 this morning and am so pleased, still a long way to go, but the drop below 10 has given me a boost and I am determined to carry on.

@purplegirl13 I followed your wise advice and did a mass trying on session and I was pleasantly surprised that just over half of my 'work' clothes do still fit, so even more incentive now to be able to wear everything.

I am strangely nervous about physically going into work next week, although it will be lovely to see my colleagues again, I will be focussing on staying away from cafes and other eateries BrewBrew as I really don't want to spoil things

purplegirl13 · 23/07/2021 11:30

@Knittingnanny that is great news!! Phew. Great news on the loss, I think at this stage we're all just happy for a loss no matter how long it takes!

@BlodwinTheThird how was the wedding over the weekend? Did it involve a weekend away?

@Morningmaeve I feel you on not being able to stop eating - I made the mistake of buying a loaf of fresh tiger bread on Sunday, it was all gone by Monday afternoon!

@EdwinaLIzzard oh that is good news, both the clothes fitting and the loss!

Does anyone else feel we should all be 8st7 by now?!

I have been laid up for nearly 2 weeks with achilles tendonitis but am finally able to walk now with very little pain, it really wasn't helping my low mood to my stuck indoors with my foot up. Physio referral will take about 5 weeks (I followed up on this today) so I'll google some exercises to get me going, as I really do want to be able to do C25K, but will wait a good month or so.

Eating has been mixed, still suffering with IBD flare up. I'm just plodding along, not calorie counting but am trying to stick to yogurt/berries for breakfast and salad/eggs for lunch to balance out the heavier dinners and ice cream.

Good luck to you all weighing in today, and make sure you are keeping yourself hydrated! x

purplegirl13 · 23/07/2021 11:32

Oh, and I am 0.4lb, so now 9st10 which I am very happy with as the scales have been showing 9st11 - 9st13 all week since last Friday's weigh in of 9st9.6

neverenoughchelseaboots · 23/07/2021 11:42

Great news @knittingnanny! That does sound like a nice treat.

Well done everyone on the gradual losses.

I discovered this week that a Fab lolly only has 75 calories!

purplegirl13 · 23/07/2021 12:07

@neverenoughchelseaboots I might have to pick some Fab lollies up this weekend, it's been years since I've had one.

I've been enjoying these www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/Product/sainsburys-coconut-pineapple-lime-ice-lollies-4x73ml for 74 calories

Sooverthemill · 23/07/2021 14:21

@Knittingnannythats good news., enjoy

neverenoughchelseaboots · 23/07/2021 14:52

Ooh they do look good @purplegirl13

I must confess to having my Fabs with a magnum chaser 🙈. See you next year with a big target to hit....😂

OP posts:
Knittingnanny · 23/07/2021 15:31

I want those lollies now this minute on the beach! Sadly no Sainsbury’s near enough! 6 miles away so maybe another time. Will have to make do with my boring apple.

purplegirl13 · 23/07/2021 17:00

@neverenoughchelseaboots I'm also having ice cream daily. Caramel chew chew from B&J is the current fav, or some pistachio gelato

@Knittingnanny similar available from M&S via Ocado www.ocado.com/products/m-s-pineapple-coconut-lime-lollies-505969011
I don't have a M&S food hall near me, but if you do it might be worth checking.

Knittingnanny · 23/07/2021 18:53

Ooh I have an m and s food hall very near me!

Sooverthemill · 24/07/2021 06:55

@Knittingnanny oh now I'm really jealous! I think our nearest M&S food hall is 10 miles away and we don't have Ocado here ( not anything, no deliveroo, no justeat, no Uber, no domino's) . DH used to go to the food hall on the services on his way home from work every once in a while when he work away in the week and bring me their Asian ready meals for a treat . God I miss M&S food! It would be the single most life enhancing thing if the poncy people in our stuck up town allowed one to open. ( they don't allow 'chains'). Oh and DD getting better of course!

Sooverthemill · 26/07/2021 08:51

Quite a 'good' weekend if you consider pistachios and rosé wine being good! The weather was so lovely and it was the last few days of DHs 'holiday' so we ate in the garden each night and had wine and nuts before as we would if we were in France ( ha! Slim chance)..
